  1. He’s the CEO - will he guarantee that the event will not go ahead at Ewood Park?
  2. There’s no way we’re signing a keeper - we’ve spent too much of our limited budget on Leo (800K) and Pears (250K?) to spend more.
  3. Then even if it’s under Sodexo’s rule, it’s in Rovers interest they’re not taking down the murals and painting it magnolia! I despair I really do. Another fantastic point.
  4. Just to be clear, as you suggesting it makes no difference to the club whether Rovers fans drink in Blues or the Working Men’s Club before a game?
  5. Just for clarity I’m not expecting you to know the answers to these questions Mike, I’m simply expressing how much of a disgrace I think this entire fiasco is. Especially considering the amount of work fans are putting in to try and create the next generation of Rovers fan. Which, as a reminder, is actually the clubs job.
  6. There’s multiple fuck ups from the club here and to be totally honest, when the murals where taken down isn’t the biggest. Although seeing imagery of club legends stacked behind the Riverside rotting in the rain does tell its own story of Venkys. Let’s look past when the murals being taken down happened and concentrate on the bigger questions: 1) Why is a Liverpool Legends Event booked at Blues Bar? Who has approved it, who didn’t think to sense check it, how many other similar events are proposed? 2) The imagery has been removed and painted magnolia. Does this improve the experience for Rovers fans in Blues Bar?
  7. I’ve no idea the dates when the imagery was taken down - other than believing what Duncan has stated, some were taken down pre COVID and there was some additional imagery that may or may not have been taken down more recently. Let’s look at it a different way: If the murals haven’t been taken down to facilitate Liverpool Legends Evenings, why have they been taken down? They were in perfectly good condition and whoever has taken them down has been paid to do so. We’re in financial armageddon, who has approved that cost? Let me guess… “It was Sodexo, we had nothing to do with it!” well when that comes up, can we please ask: 1) What gives Sodexo authority to just take down the imagery and repaint Blues? 2) Do we think painting it magnolia has improved the experience for Rovers fans?
  8. It’s not really the point - the point is the additional ones have been removed to make the space more acceptable for Liverpool Legends events. Which is utterly fucking bonkers and undermines all the hard work people have done to get local people back involved in the club.
  9. Always found it interesting that when Poveda did his knee playing for us, Leeds made us continue to pay his salary for the loan contract as he did it playing for us. Hopefully we've done the same to Sheff Weds.
  10. On loan, yes. So that would be Hill out, Cresswell in on loan, O'Roirdon in permanently.
  11. I can't see how its fair enough really - we're swapping a player with Premier League experience that covers CB and RB for a League Two centre back that only plays CB.
  12. They can't add any further cash into the club other than enough to cover the existing bills whilst under investigation by the Indian government. i.e. they can't send us money for transfers, but they can send us money to cover existing contracted obligations.
  13. Not sure it’s all there - the first paragraph reads: The involvement of brfcs.com, 4000 Holes Fanzine and RoversChat podcast was invaluable. Without these groups working in partnership and, of course, the active involvement of the Club and Community Trust. Feels like it’s missing something before “the involvement” ?
  14. Don’t think Carter will be the CB we lose this January.
  15. I’d rather each player in the squad was allowed to boot a football into my bollocks every morning for the next year of my life.
  16. Based on every other person Venkys have brought to the table, it’s fair to assume these new people are equally as useless and incapable.
  17. I think it’s likely the list is nonsense - I was just shared it on Twitter, it may well be bullshit! Would love to see an accurate one.
  18. Championship player salaries. Death by 1,000 cuts, it’s all directly related back to the owners.
  19. Doesn’t have to be from Lancashire and doesn’t have to be a Rovers fan, but does have to understand the area, culture and mindset of Blackburn as a place.
  20. I’d be pretty confident that if we went into admin and ended up in league two, with the right *LOCAL* owner we’d be back as a Championship club within 5 years, with 17K ST holders and there would be a huge feel good factor around the club.
  21. “Steve, we’re delighted you’ve come to the interview! So, here’s what we’ve got. We will pay you less than average salary, you’ll have next to no transfer budget and the wages will be 18th highest in the league. Hopefully you can keep us up and develop our players so we can sell them to pay off the debt. You interested?”
  22. Markanday is absolutely awful. He’s no business wearing the Rovers shirt and should be shipped out of loan on January 1st. Offers absolutely zero. Garrett isn’t much better - certainly is no better than Travis, who does the same job as him significantly better.
  23. Absolutely. All goes back to the owners. They’re the problem, they always have been, they always will be.
  24. The transfer policy that has seen him short at goalkeeper, right back, left back, left wing, right wing, central attacking midfield and striker? I wouldn’t imagine he’s too keen on it
  25. Would be a hell of a lot of work. Venkys use Government contacts to create freezing of assets and a high court legal case in order to avoid investing 3-5M into a football club they’ve already invested 250M into.
