  1. Trying to keep up here, but if we end up with: OUTS: Szmodics Gallagher Wahstedt Telalovic Garrett (loan) O'Roirdon (loan) Markanday (loan) Fleck (released) Ayari (end of loan) Moran (end of loan) Christene (end of loan) Koumentio (end of loan) IN: Gueye Ohashi Wiemann Batth Toth Cantwell Dembele Beck (loan) Cozier-Duberry (loan) I think thats a good window all things considered. Gueye looks better than Gallagher Wiemann better than Markanday (and gives Markanday a chance to prove himself) Batth is better than O'Roirdon (and gives COR a chance to prove himself) Cozier-Duberry is better than Moran Ohashi is better than Telalovic Leo to Toth is an unknown Dembele would be a squad addition Szmodics to Cantwell is a downgrade, but a good replacement given Szmodics was streets ahead of the rest of the squad Christene to Beck seems to be like-for-like on paper Koumentio and Fleck didn't do anything for us. Only two loan players isn't efficient given we can have five (?). Would like to see a CM that can play brought in.
  2. I haven't seen him personally but the reviews I've heard back say he's not stood out and isn't as good as Igor.
  3. Mafoumbi taking up one of our four precious ESC spots is classic Rovers. He doesn't stand out at U23 level.
  4. Footballs a crazy thing, eh. Based on that performance I think he’d be lucky to get a league two club. He doesn’t have a single stand out quality - doesn’t make the right decision, isn’t quick, isn’t strong, can’t hold it up, can’t bring others into play. I’m not sure what the question would need to be for the answer to be Vale.
  5. Despite earning over 30M in a calendar year by selling our best players and having "assurance that issues ... will not prohibit or prevent the Owners from financially supporting the club in whatever way on and off the pitch when required" we're in the gambles and loans business, it seems. Doesn't make much sense to me, but I'm not in finance nor legal.
  6. If you can look past the headband, the TikToks and the rumoured bad attitude, Cantwell is actually a very good player. Not against signing him personally.
  7. Can't be cashflow, Mani. The CEO of the club has confirmed there's no restrictions in investment from the owners. If short term cashflow is a problem they can subsidise it - like they always have until Nov 23 - right?
  8. You’ve been here long enough to know better.
  9. I’m looking forward to some top drawer signings this week. As the CEO has said: Our owners have no issues with funding the club.
  10. Why are we haggling over 500K? We’ve raised 40M and have no issues with funding?
  11. I’m surprised we’re still looking at Ryo when we have over 30M to spend and a week or so to do it.
  12. In my opinion there’s only four good reasons for loans: 1) The loan is the difference between finishing 6th and 7th 2) The loan is the difference between 21st and 22nd 3) You have a player out for the season and need a season long solution 4) You have the option to buy the player at the end of the loan. I don’t think Rushworth, despite being a great keeper at this level, will do any of the above four. It doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things. Now the CEO has confirmed we have no funding issues and we have received 40M since Jan 2024 I expect us to sign Iversen on a 4 year deal.
  13. Are you suggesting the CEO of Blackburn Rovers is a liar?
  14. I’m not sure if you’ve seen, but today Steve Waggott has confirmed he has full and unequivocal assurance that the owners are financially supporting Rovers on the pitch as required. We’ve just sold 40M of talent, we have a squad which desperately needs investment and I for one am now expecting a minimum of 20M pounds spent in the next 10 days.
  15. What do you mean, “measly budget”? We’ve just sold 40M of players and Rovers have confirmed in writing that we have no funding issues. I’m expecting us to spend close to 25M improving both the first 11 and the squad by the end of the window.
  16. I’m not sure any other club in the league would have a long term, points losing problem position and think: “a 12 month loan will solve this”. Especially a club with as per todays statement, has no issues with funding and has secured 40M in transfer fees in the last 12 months.
  17. Loving the idea of signing this Ryo on a three year deal simply due to his half Japanese, half Brazilian heritage. In normal circumstances I’d say I’m glad you lot are not in charge, but I’m not convinced Waggott thinks in much more detail either.
  18. Its much appreciated. The reality here like you say its BRFCS is essentially acting as a forum for people to discuss and speculate on what may or may not happen. Seemingly fans on Facebook and (in the most part) Twitter are either unwilling to discuss or the platform by design doesn't allow them to discuss in detail. So this is the only place to get any sort of quantifiable speculation and hypothesis.
  19. Short term solution to a long term problem.
  20. We’re all off track on this one Den. Unless someone’s going to chirp up as a specialist in international law it’s all hearsay. I’ve heard rumours in the past couple of hours about a club statement on the matter - whether that’s official or through The Trust / Fans Forum I don’t care, but clarification needs to be sought. Ultimately, the proof will be in the pudding. If we’re not significantly strengthening with cash signings this summer and retaining what is left of our best players then we will know.
  21. Nobody knows! Well, someone must do. But we're here to speculate and i'm going to speculate with: Yes, but its a fucking pain in the arse and expensive.
  22. I find all of this so interesting. I can't believe its come to this, but it has and its extremely interesting.
  23. If the judge managed 16 cases today before walking out for another commitment and we where item number 36, what happens next time if he does another 16 cases before calling it a day i.e. gets to number 32? Another delay, you would assume? Would love to hear the @RoversTrust ask this question, in addition to a question on the 98% successful prosecution rate if @phili can source it.
