  1. I usually really like opposition fans on here - some of my favourite posters over the years have been fans from other clubs, including our six fingered friends. However, currently we’re experiencing a huge increase in registrations from Wrexham fans all around the world (I can see their IP) who seem to want to do nothing but cause trouble. Which is a real shame, because I thought their documentary was fantastic. For now, I’ll continue accepting them. But can members please be quick to report the stupid ones, so we can act? If it continues unfortunately we’ll just do a hard block on all of them.
  2. Juke in for low hundreds of thousands, Gally out for decent £ is good business.
  3. It’s just like fake news on Twitter, someone says it and it’s then repeated until it becomes true. Smells of episode two of @Herbie6590’s new niche podcast POB (price of Blackburn), titled “Life Before Venkys - what was it like and what is true?” so that we have something on record to revert back to every time younger fans make up that the place was on fire.
  4. I feel like I’m on a different planet sometimes.
  5. Which couldn’t be any more Rovers - the fans turn on the man who’s refusing to accept mediocrity instead of those bringing it.
  6. Rovers fans ridding the club of Venkys by making policing costs too much for them to pay would be the ultimate payback.
  7. We're now paying Buckley's wages again, which will take something. We're financially fecked.
  8. Unfortunately the bus is leased, not owned as the CEO publicly declared, therefore he can only park the bus on certain days of the week under the lease agreement.
  9. The debt comment is an interesting one - for me, no buyer is going to pay for debt to the owners due to poor decision making. It’s different if the debt is - let’s say - 100M to a construction company or a bank for a new state of the art stadium or training facilities which is tangible. If we take this back to real life, if my house is worth £100,000 and I do a 50,000 extension on the back then get it revalued and it’s valued at £120,000, who’s responsible for that 30K? I either accept that I’ve spent money which I won’t get a return on and sell for 120K, or keep hold of the house. But if our owners think they’re going to get anything near the value of their debt back they’re sadly mistaken.
  10. Six hours later I invite anyone to answer this
  11. Can you explain to me very clearly why the following clubs where all bought by what appear to be good owners, yet nobody would be interested in buying Blackburn Rovers - especially if the club was either put up for sale or put into administration and could be bought cheaper: Birmingham City Bolton Wanderers Coventry City Hull City Brighton Blackpool Huddersfield Derby County Wigan Athletic Sunderland Charlton Wrexham I look forward to hearing why we are any different. Reminder - before anyone says “nobody has tried to buy us!” 1) Even if they did, it would be under NDA and we wouldn’t know it for sure. 2) Nobody has made me an offer on my house - the reason for that is there isn’t a for sale sign outside and it’s not registered with an estate agent.
  12. I've just made the Rovers Trust account adfree FYI
  13. I think we (BRFCS) can do some things quickly off the bat to help our members understand who is who within groups that represent them i.e. The Trust. If anyones interested in this send me a DM and we can come up with a plan.
  14. Genuine question - are you part of the Trust? If so, I had absolutely no idea that you are.
  15. Thanks for this Duncan, really interesting read. I think the Trust would benefit from more transparency which could be hard to do. One way, which would be relatively simple, would be to have a members section of the Trust website. Within that section you could: Upload all minutes of meetings Live stream the AGM Have transparent members polling - so members can see what the majority of the membership think. I also think you could perhaps do with improving comms on here, especially as clearly there’s different opinions at board level of The Trust (which is great, by the way). Can I suggest that official comms come through @Rovers Trust and non official comms through personal accounts? We could also add something to highlight the Trusts board members on here so that people can differentiate members, much like we do with the moderation team. If someone could look into my membership that would be great - I’ve been through my emails this morning and have received no comms at all since rejoining just before the AGM at Billington Brass Band Club.
  16. I’m not getting these newsletters Mike, how do I get this sorted?
  17. I agree, in no way a smoking gun. But it does point to the below, unless someone can explain to me otherwise: 1) If Venkys get found guilty we will go into administration quickly - the club is insolvent without them. 2) If the appeals for running costs aren’t granted, the club will go into administration quickly 3) The case with the Indian government will continue for an unnamed amount of time and during that time we will not be able to strengthen the squad as finance is restricted. 4) Every window whereby we cannot strengthen the squad it will get weaker and we will go closer to League One. If the club goes into admin, the club will get a points deduction then administrators will take over and try to sell the club for a reasonable offer to service the clubs debts. The owners wouldn’t have input into the sale and an offer wouldn’t be able to come from Venkys if they’re either under investigation or found guilty. Based on that, it’s my belief that we would get better ownership via administration and it’s in the clubs benefit for Venkys to either be found guilty or the judge to not grant payments into the club.
  18. With all due respect, by design, surely the latter isn’t possible? It’s one person, one vote - which is right, by the way - but how can anyone vote if one person knows more than the other?
  19. Mike is there an issue with the external comms from The Trust? I'm a member and don't receive any updates over e-mail. Not a monthly report, quarterly update, yearly round up... nothing. Either i'm a one off or I suspect there's other members like myself who are contributing to The Trust and expect to see full breakdowns of all comms and meetings with the club, the website says "By becoming a member, you can shape the ongoing direction of the Trust. All our members have an equal say in the running and direction of our club – one member, one vote. As well elections we are obligated to run, we aim to regularly canvas member opinions." As it stands I: 1) Haven't been asked for my equal say on the running and direction of the club 2) Haven't been asked to vote on anything 3) Haven't been asked for my opinion on anything It makes me very uneasy as a member when I see things like "nightmare for those at Ewood trying to balance the books" i.e. Waggott and "credit should be given to the owners for this". It feels like the club are under pressure and suddenly - out of nowhere - information appears which could be argued paints them all in a good light. For context, the reason BRFCS sends @K-Hod to the Fans Forum meetings is i'm aware that I wouldn't be suitable for the type of meeting. K-Hod canvases comments from the forum and relays them to the club in a professional manner. This is in the T&Cs of all new BRFCS members.
  20. Now I've slept on this, there's two things playing on my mind: 1) If we can get that judge to find them guilty, or stop payments to the club, we will go into admin very quickly and will be rid of Venkys. 2) I find it very interesting this article was suddenly found and posted on Twitter after X months the second pressure was on the CEO of the club.
  21. I’m not too sure myself - but what it does categorically prove is if the judge finds them guilty of tax evasion the club has days left before administration. Bring it on.
  22. If there was ever a time to protest it is now. The pressure is building and one final push may see them fall. There’s a sunrise on the horizon.
  23. We want him. He has a 500K release clause. We made a bid that totalled 500K put payments where spread over X period of time to help our cash flow. Crewe say for the release clause to be activated it’s 500K upfront. Stalemate.
