  1. but nowhere did I say it Validate my opinion did I, just said listen to Mowbray's comments. cos you keep saying staff I haven't even mention FFS
  2. I read in the Local paper suggesting a few coaching staff additions like Ian Culverhouse, Alan Irvine, Andy Marshall and Stuart Taylor. I think Rod Kelly could also be a possible choice McCarthy signed a lot of players each season so he did have some sort of budget and had some talent young players from big clubs like Celina last season from Man City. Lets see how Lambert will play there and how he using the players he has got. It wouldn't be surprise if he wants a new target man in January. McCarthy and the fans relationship was rock bottom and need to end. You keep saying Lambert failed his previous jobs but didn't he do a good job at Villa by keeping them up despite their cutbacks in budget that their owner after he got fed up with not getting top 4. Stoke spell was a failure but they are far too many problems there and they still exist now IMO under Rowett. We know his time here. wouldn't say it was a failure either. Wolves had a Chinese owners but they were listening to an agent and not manager
  3. I posted 3 Mowbray links today and not once have I said this validate my opinion have I? maybe you jump the gun again and reading things I haven't posted again. K'hod and Stuart condemn me for using laughing emoji at roversfan99 post but they never seem to say anything when he has done it to others people like me or yourself. maybe we could do with some better emoji like agree and disagree emojis to posts or something else you others have ideas
  4. sorry but patience is required. You say he cant play but Mowbray has explained why he has played wide. He has said that he like to play with one wide forward, number 9 and number 10 player with a wide midfielder on the other side. So that's why Mowbray feels short.
  5. I will quote who I want when I want.
  6. From local Ipswich journalist Stuart Watson Understand that #itfc will announce Paul Lambert appointment tomorrow morning. A) Conscious today is Kevin Beattie's funeral. Tying up some loose ends with regards some members of staff he wants to bring (at least two). https://t.co/Gs64w2Y7tu
  7. Thankyou for the comments for praising my understanding of your situation. McCarthy and the fans relationship had reach the course and a change was needed badly. His action in the Norwich game shouldn't have happened. His style in the last 2 seasons also caused problems with fans who after so long in charge needed to change. I think Lambert will turn it around but will need a few signings in January. would be surprise if he signed a target man in January. Will Evans back Lambert with any funds? have you have heard of any coaching staff he would bring in? Can I asked for your views on Hurst signings in the summer and have any had an impact so far? Hurst sold players for 11 million but he did spent roughly 5 million pounds but not on the right time of players. did Marcus Evans try to talk McCarthy out of leaving or had that relationship run it course aswell? oh yes it is
  8. how did it limit our options to strengthen else? Still got money left over from the summer budget. You need to listen to Mowbray's comments from yesterday that I have just posted. You need to listen to the Mowbray's interview I posted today from BBC Lancashire. He explained the way he has use him so far. and asking for fans to be patience. He explained that he is the Graham, Dack and Armstrong plus 1 more as the front 4 cos of the chemistry and the understand they have. We only have 3 strikers fit at the minute and I understand why he wanted another striker available but Samuel and Nuttall are injured. Would be given him more options.
  9. some people love a conspiracy theory on this board.
  10. "He's got all the talent in the world. We just have to be patient with him." #rovers manager Tony Mowbray says the best is yet to come from forward Ben Brereton. #brfc #bbclancssport #bbcfootball https://t.co/zlvsP2PNXr "We shouldn't be surprised." #rovers manager Tony Mowbray speaks to us about the challenges of the championship. #bbcfootball #bbclancssport #brfc 0 replies . 5 retweets 16 likes Reply Retweet 5 Liked 16 Direct message
  11. Did I say it makes them right? No I didnt. You are to get a overreaction from me but I aint playing your silly pathetic childish games.
  12. Mowbray on Brereton when he signed here including his role within the side, the price, not putting too much pressure on him. From the LT article. Tony Mowbray is keen not to burden Ben Brereton with too much expectation after the 19-year-old secured his move to Rovers. But the boss is excited to work with the England Under-19 international who arrives initially on loan from Nottingham Forest. That will be made permanent in January, with the fee in the region of £6m-£7m. Mowbray felt the opportunity to sign Brereton, who has eight goals in 53 Championship games, was too good to turn down, having pursued him for much of the month. The boss said: “I’m just trying to add quality. “He’s 19-years-old, I’m conscious of not overplaying him. He’s a young guy with lots of good attributes, he’s fast, can run with the ball, play off both feet, he can dribble, and hopefully he’s going to score and create goals for us and be another string to our bow. “The price for me is really irrelevant. I know it’s not for the bigger picture for the football club but I’m just trying to add the right quality to the team that’s going to help us and make us stronger, more creative, offensive and creating more chances. “I think it's just too good an opportunity for us to turn down. We had the money to spend and when you've got it, let's spend it. “Let's forget about the price now and concentrate on the player. He's a 19-year-old boy. We're not going to burden him and expect him to win games on his own. “Let's be excited about him coming, but let's not burden him with a huge expectation, because he's 19. “There will be games where he doesn't start and has to affect the game off the bench. There'll be other games where we have to hope he can make the difference in the game. “Let's just give him time to settle in to our club, to get to know the lads, to move to a new area, to find accommodation and not over-burden him with expectation too early.” Brereton, at 6’3 is able to play across the frontline, but revealed his favoured role is playing down the middle. Mowbray often uses what he describes as ‘wide strikers’, a role Brereton has done in the past, and one Mowbray could look to utilise him in again. But his versatility will be useful to Rovers, as the boss weighs up his options for the season ahead. “I’ve told him that. His preference would be to play down the middle, but so would Adam Armstrong’s,” Mowbray added. “He played most of last season on the left wing for me and scored goals from that position. “Mo Salah plays on the right wing for Liverpool and scored 40 goals last season. “Wide strikers, I wouldn’t say they’re going to be right wingers or left wingers. A number nine or wide striker? We’ll see what the opposition do and play to our strengths against the weakness of the opposition. “As long as the players understand that, an Adam or a Ben, that at times we might play them not necessarily where they want to play, if it benefits the team that’s what we’ll do.” 57
  13. Not random tweets tho Stuart but fans who attend every game. So unlucky Stuart ?. I aint playing your game anymore. Enjoy your day
  14. How are they excuses when they are facts? Look at @DE. posts about Hurst attitude towards players and staff. Matt Holland said the same thing on talksport. Seems to me the Paul Ince attitude during his time here. Ipswich fans problems are with the owner and lack of investment.
  15. How do you know that Man Utd or Spurs didnt look at him properly? Liverpool were interest aswell I believe. You use the Forest fans opinions but not Ipswich fans opinions on McCarthy. Wonder why? Double standards. Maybe cos he knows people on the recruitment or coaching staff. People do have connections you dont.
  16. was the interview was Mowbray? anyone else interview? Thanks to the people who make this happen and thanks for the hard work
  17. You are only interested in fans opinions when its suited your argument. fair enough. thankyou for the reply
  18. did I said Brereton? no stop stirring the pot Stuart again. You always been the same on here. No point having a debate with that type of person
  19. I have never been to either restaurants/place so I couldn't even comment. I don't even know what the Chippery is. Never fancied Northcote or that type of food tbh. I wouldn't go to an expensive restaurant at all. Not my style. Clearly that's your style. I loved to going to Shajan's or Smokehouse 138 or Griffins head bar and grill, and Thatch and Thistle. apart from that I enjoying my own meals at home. But from any food place I expect high standard and food cook properly despite of the price
  20. I would the reasons why Pogba isn't performing good enough is down to number of factors like Mourinho style of play and attitude towards the players, Pogba's attitude towards Mourinho, Pogba's agent, his role in the team.
  21. If Hurst has treated staff like that then its unacceptable and wrong. Reminds me of Ince's time here. He might not get another opportunity at this level. Maybe he be better in the lower leagues. I haven't seen those comments but if Lambert isn't going to sort of budget to bring him a couple of players like a target man striker and skilful number 10 llike Tony Watt then Ipswich is going down. Far too many league 1 players and not enough experience players was signed by Hurst. you are not interest in what Ipswich fans think but you are interest in Forest fans opinions tho on Brereton, surely this double standard and dilute your opinion on Brereton then. You are very happy to praised McCarthy style of football but not Lambert when its very similar over the recent past. double standard again? So you never met Lambert then and spoke to him. maybe you should do before calling dull and boring. on his time here, Rhodes wanted out of here for the past 12 months just like Rudy Gestede did. I did say when Lambert came in that Rhodes wouldn't suited Lambert style and he would be move on. He signed 7 players during his time here. Which 2 players are still here in Graham and Bennett. I don't want to agree to disagree either.
  22. I agree with @JHRover on the point that the fee should NOT be a factor in judging a player. Judging a player should be solely based on his performances on the pitches and nothing else. We should be expecting the same from any player despite of any fee involved. He didn't have to answer the question and said its none of their business. Mowbray open and honest approach is something that set his aside from most managers in modern football. massive financial signing for our club but is that's for us to judge and surely we should judge Mowbray and his recruitment staff on that NOT the player? surely every player should be based on performances on the pitch not the fee involved? They should be no more pressure on him cos the fee and its had nothing to with him. The pressure should be on Mowbray, Stuart Harvey and Steve Waggott surely? sorry but it is not incorrect to dismiss the fee involved. surely we should have the same expectation on every signing? Nuttall isn't even playing for the under 23's at the moment, so I can only think he is injured.
  23. Blimey back this rubbish again. Obsess with McCarthy, move on FFS. Cant believe you include Coyle on any list after the damage he did here. cos Lambert is replacing Hurst who didn't have any championship experience before the Ipswich job. have you actually spoken to any Ipswich fans? Fans get fed up with McCarthy and his style understandable after so long as manager. His antics towards them wouldn't help this situation but neither did the fans help the situation with those comments. Plus the owner relationship with the fans hasn't help the situation either. did you ever met Lambert and spoke to him? on your comment about his last 4 managerial stints. When I was here, I thought his half season would be looking at the squad and then building a squad for a promotion bid the season after similar to the Souness's era. Villa was a massive rebuilding job whilst an owner who was losing interest quick and he did his job by keeping them up. But after O'Neill left Villa their owner lost interest and Villa was only going one way, down the league. Wolves, Strange time there with their owners having close relationship with Mendes. Stoke, didn't do well during his time but I would have like to see him given this season there cos its not like Rowett set the world on fire. Something not right there with the squad. far too many fractions there. surprise by this comment. Not sure he lost the dressing room tbh.
  24. Total disagree on the first point. The price shouldn't be a factor in judging him as you be judging all the players the same. It should not be any PART of any discussion on Brereton. He will only start scoring when we play to his strengths and use him properly. I have been annoying by him playing wide but at least Mowbray is open and honest to the fans to explained his thinking behind playing him wide. how many more managers would be like this. Not many if any. neither am I but I do watch a lot of football and be impress by some players. Is Mowbray even looking to Europe ? cos so far every signing as been UK or Ireland based. Not sure signing overseas players would fit into this group and the team attitude/morale Mowbray put a lot into people personality and the type of person they are. He has said this during the fans meeting before and to Rich Sharpe. Look at those free agents he look and held talks with and didn't sign any of them apart from Rothwell. Also do you not think that Mowbray will look to change the style of play and make us more a possession based team style. Like his WBA team
  25. It seems lots of problems behind the scenes, players unrest and dressing room upset. The way he spoke to players at the training ground and he treated the players badly. Dropped the best 2 players. Do you any more of the problems behind the scenes? Disagree. Probably the best appointment there. He knows the league. Cos I like Lambert alot. Very clever man and knowledge.
