  1. Rovers will announce a new senior management team, of who Steve Waggott will be working alongside, next week. http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/16306771.LIVE__Blackburn_Rovers_Supporters_Consultation_Meeting/?ref=mac
  2. Mowbray;s comments about signings He has held meetings with around six players with prospective signings. He says he is excited by the quality of players that are available and feels he will be giving himselves problems when it comes to team selection next season "I'm excited - things will happen. Hopefully we'll have an announcement soon and think we will sign two, three, four players over the next couple of weeks." TM says he's sat in his office with up to 10 players says it's imperative not to 'put a bad egg' in among what is a good dressing room. I'd sacrifice quality for personality and character. "The group itself, digging in when it was tough, that was what won us promotion Harry Chapman is "desperate to come back" according to TM who spoke to him this week. Money there to spend on players, TM confirms. Money there to spend on players, TM confirms. all the above quotes are from this http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/16306771.LIVE__Blackburn_Rovers_Supporters_Consultation_Meeting/?ref=mac
  3. was any figure or percentage put to these increase numbers? good to know that we will have new fans next season. great. I think he will be our 1st signing great guy and will be missed by the under 23's anything else said about other possible transfer transfers? I think Chapman would be great asset to this team and he would benefit from working under Mowbray and his staff. I can understand that Armstrong deal would be too much for us anything said about the new scouting system? thanks @Madon for the updates
  4. Waggott has explained what his role is, how much contact he has with the owners and his working relationship with Mowbray. Havent we been told what the clubs plans are for the next season and finances are like. Arent Waggott and Cheston going to be present tonight? I believe Mowbray should be there so he can talk about the footballing structure and long term plan. I would like to know who is currently in charge of scouting and recruitment team? Is Mike Rigg still involve with the club? You need to ask the Football League that question about the point of these meetings if you want answers to it? The communication side of the club is great asset to this club
  5. Rich Sharpe doesnt know much about transfers at all. Guess he doesnt have the contacts the media press do. Cant remember the last time the LT did an exclusive on an incoming transfer
  6. Waggott has already explained all that in previous interviews. What his role is, communicating with Owners, working with Mowbray. And how things work at the club has also been explain aswell within the club. The Media department is a massive improvement in the last 18 months compare to previous years gone by
  7. Made up what figure? The 2 million pounds one?
  8. Thats a question for you to ask the Charlton and Rovers based reporters. Nicko was confident of a deal being done at 500k. Which seemed a fair price for a player with 12 months left on contract
  9. Depends what Newcastle want. This might change during the window when Benitez needs funds. The Charlton deal seems to be close before the price changed. From both local reporters
  10. it depends what Newcastle want for the player. I was talking to Nixon who suggested that Newcastle were asking for too much for him and beyond our means I would imagine we have the funds for the right sort of player
  11. haven't we already discuss most of the first paragraph in previous meetings? or through recent interviews with LT? The football league cant force any owner to any meeting with fans and they know this. Pasha will never attend these either. Waggott is the closest official you will speak to now.
  12. what issues would you like to discuss with the club?
  13. I wouldnt. The story is correct. Both local reporters had our interest in Bauer. Now both say price is 2 million. Which is far too much for a player with only 12 months left on contract. Move on to next centre back target. Also told me that we want Chapman, Armstrong price is too much for us at this stage. I can see Armstrong being sent out on loan towards end of the window. Not many linked out there. Hopefully we see a player signed this week but most likely after Austria trip.
  14. paying 2 million pounds for a player with 12 months left on his contract is far too much. Charlton based sport reporter saying asking price is 2 million now https://www.londonnewsonline.co.uk/charlton-athletic-offer-new-deals-to-joe-aribo-and-tariqe-fosu-and-price-tag-for-blackburn-target-bauer-set-to-scare-off-bidders/ Nixon says officials were in London over the weekend. I would suggest Charlton have change their asking price now. 2 million pounds for a player with 12 months left on his contract is far too much I would suggest we move on to player B now and look to agree a price with Scunthorpe for Adelakun instead
  15. Williams in talks over new contract http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/football/16298751.Rovers_in_talks_with_Derrick_Williams_over_new_contract/
  16. having the training ground facilities, all training ground pitches and Ewood Park pitch all been dig up and relayed this summer? Are you unhappy with Greg Coar as commercial director? I would agree certain things at Ewood Park does need a facelift and clean like Jack Walker statue and ground around here. Well I have been saying this tho haven't I Tom? Rovers twitter account has been asked regular for how many season tickets have been sold. All they keep saying they will release the figure after the deadline
  17. Patrick Bauer LT story http://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/16297311.Rovers_eye_move_for_Charlton_defender_Patrick_Bauer/
  18. I was talking about Rovers not Forest. I dont know Forest situation at all Rovers clearly arent willing chuck millions and Millions at Promotion but do it a smarter way less cost way of building a squad with good players. Well lets agree on 3 million pounds come from season tickets sales thats 25% percent of our wage budget. Big help to Mowbray signing players. Yes you are right it wouldnt get us signing players at 10 million but I wouldnt want that anyway.
  19. How do you know we wont 10k season ticket holders? Nobody knows how many we get I uses the 10k at 349 pounds as an example to show season ticket money us very useful in terms of being for transfers or wage budget terms.
  20. judging from Mowbray's comments, he is talking to clubs, player's agents and players regularly and probably making bids for players and waiting for clubs officials to get back to him, plus players being away on Holiday until this week or next week, I expect 2 or 3 in by the time we come back from Austria
  21. not much income is derived from ST sales? really? 10 thousand season ticket at 349 pounds is 3 and half million pounds which could be very useful to Mowbray and his transfer plans/wage budget wise. If the reported wage budget is about 12 million this season then it over 30 percent of that budget is from season ticket holders sales
  22. Sorry Gumboots but if fans want a successful club and getting back to Premier League(which should be long term target) then surely fans need to back the club and support it through Season tickets and mercandise. Its up to fans to decide what they want for Rovers
  23. Well if Fans dont want attend, support the team through season tickets or buy club merchandise then we cant expect to make good signings or complete for promotion then surely? We have to support the club unless fans want to be lower table championship/top league 1 club for the next few season. I aint going to my view on the price rise, marketing strategy or closing the Darwen stand for home fans as Ive posted this previous discussions.
