  1. Wrong, my opinion has and always will be that England Senior National Football manager should be Englishman and we tried this foreign option twice and didn't improve. Capello was disaster. The next England manager should be English.
  2. I think I've more than clear this. International management doesn't always suit successful Club managers. Example Capello and Eriksson as 2 prime examples where as Southgate did and I wish he stayed on for another 2 years at least
  3. Good Thanks Mercer. Looking forward to the first game and decent campaign under Eustace. Rovers till I die They change their mind after we beat Derby on 9th of August and sign some good quality players.
  4. How well-known with Spain manager and Low known when appointed International management. International management is very different to club football management.
  5. Nixon suggesting it's ex employee Deffo could and should happening. No I don't turn, I evaluate the job he did here. Nixon is a great source of info. His story What do you expect him to do? LT needs the club for viewing figures
  6. Nixon on the Rovers insider account Nixon makes a fair point cos that twitter account isn't actually cos we have spoken to Krul and Cooper and offer them contracts.
  7. sadly, I can look back say things they got wrong, I mentioned these players last summer actually
  8. I guess Cooper and Begovic/Krul are these players
  9. I don't agree as they were several strikers we could have signed instead of signing 2 strikers like we did, just sign quality one. We could have sign Ryan Hardie last summer as he was out of contract similar to Ennis. Maybe we sign the wrong one? Why didn't we sign Grant on loan, Ugbo on loan or Stansfield on loan? Did we sign and failed? all questions I would like to asked GB and JDT if I ever got the chance to do so
  10. Like I have repeatably said the next England manager should be Englishman and I won't waive from this viewpoint. I think Howe is the best bet but as I have shown that the best club managers don't also make the best international managers. The candidates will be Howe, Potter, Carsley, Lampard, O'Neil and possibly Dyche. We should choose from those 5 and interview all 5 and pick the best candidate from Englishman. We should NOT appoint another foreign manager as England manager.
  11. Lampard isn't on my 3 man shortlist I posted this morning but my point was that international football is very different to club management and I highlighted 2 successful national team managers who have won international tournaments whilst having poor club management careers whilst successful club managers like Capello struggled at this level
  12. The problem isn't having sporting director/head coach structure but far too people getting involved. Looking at it, we need decisions on who are main targets are and go and get them. One of the owners need to be here during the transfer window to make a decision maker and able to make quick decision
  13. Low and Luis de la Fuente failed at Club level but both led their countries to winning international football. We appointed Capello who was highly successfully at club level and was bloody awful as England manager.
  14. this guy reporting it? Miguel Delaney (@MiguelDelaney) / X (twitter.com)
  15. Born in Birmingham as I have said twice on this thread. OK well sort of an answer on your 3 man shortlist at least Lampard suits the FA and he has been doing some part time work with FA in coaching I believe. I wouldn't be surprised if Lampard got the job. International football doesn't suited. Look at Joachim Low and Luis de la Fuente who weren't great club managers but both won international tournaments for their national countries
  16. We still need a first choice experience keeper, Striker, winger and 2 centre backs, so signing someone like Barrett wouldn't be on my radar at this stage unless I know he has the potnetial and we had 2 or 3 of those signings sign up We don't have Director of football but a head of football operations, is that the same as I don't know. Our problem making a decision who is number 1 target and someone making a decision. Sounds to me, we have like a transfer committee approach with Gestede, Eustace, Park, Maybe Owen, Pasha and Waggott who having a say in transfers. We need decisions to be made who we want and we need experience first choice keeper, striker, winger and 2 centre backs before other positions we sign anyone. Eustace wants experience in terms of GK, Striker and centre back. We are making enquires in to players and clubs but no one is making a decision that this is number 1 target.
  17. I expect Howe, Potter, Carsley, O'Neil and Lampard all to be interview
  18. Carsley done a good job similar to what Gareth Southgate done before. What had Spain manager done before he managed Spain national manager, been under 21 manager for them Given you didn't answer my last question about which Foriegn managers would be on your shortlist for England manager. I answered on who my 3 man English shortlist would be.
  19. We need a keeper for under 21 team along with Michalski He wants 4 or 5 signings this season. Experience keeper and number 9 striker. If you listened to Alan Nixon yesterday he said we are chasing players but different people want different type of signings. No one is making the final decision. That's a massive problem again
  20. Wrong choice of words. My point he still have support of the current 3 key personal all are still backing of Howe, tho I understand your point you made
  21. I understand what you are saying, But its clear that Eustace wants experience and why we have been link with a range of players like Krul, Ruddy, Dykes, Cooper and McLoughlin. I would move for Hladky and why we haven't move for him its mystifying. Its no brainer for me. I can understand why Eustace wants Dykes. I would deffo bring in McLoughlin. That fee is again a no brainer for me. If we were to bring in Hladky, McLoughlin and Dykes I would be happy with that. Still need a right winger and another centre back Barrett is coming in as third choice keeper. Eustace clearly wants a senior keeper and that's why we have been linked with Krul and Ruddy
  22. its 5 signings with maybe 2 more depending on what we do at left back and Garrett. I would say centre back who can play left back also. So it covers that. So its 5 signings wanted with maybe 6 if we loan Garrett out which I don't think we will Interesting. I know nothing about him. I yep! 🤣 This is the market we are actually in. We have risks in the market unless we can bring in someone like Dykes or someone loan striker from a PL club. We want experience and its costs less in the overseas market The link works as I update it after my post
  23. Thanks Gareth for everything you have done as England manager and the fact you have led us to our most successful era since 1966 and the fact you have changed the mentality within the squad and show great man management skills with the players. Bellingham and Pickford comments says everything for me. I don't think Howe will take it at this stage of his career, same as Gary O'Neil. Few years too early. My shortlist would be Lee Carsley, Graham Potter and Eddie Howe. Sam Allardyce has said it should be Englishman as the next England manager and he is damn right excellent statement Wrong. Their CEO Darren Eagles is very close to Howe and Howe is close to the owners of the club. Yes 2 of Howe's supporters have just sold their shares in the club and left the board.
  24. Blackburn Rovers are interested in signing Osnabrück forward Erik Engelhardt (26), who was the club’s top scorer in the 2. Bundesliga last season with 10 goals. Blackburn show interest in 2. Bundesliga striker - Get German Football News (getfootballnewsgermany.com)
