  1. It's disgraceful action shutting the main stand at Ewood Park. The saving the club will be making will be small in terms of cost. Increase of trying to increase revenue it's cost savings at all the time.
  2. Well listened to the RoversTv and Radio Lancs and I think GB was open, honest and very good communication. He fully explained everything and every situation. The recruitment department is now organised and we are all over Europe which makes logical sense with the quality players out there, our Director of Football and Head Coach background and knowledge.. I enjoyable listened. He is a man who wants the very best for Rovers. Same as JDT
  3. That's decision to shut the Blackburn end for cup game is disgraceful by the club management
  4. No problem for me.
  5. I think he is on par with Lindelof and Martinez for me. Varane is good but injury prone Yet we have created some very good chances. Scotland have improved. Bellingham what a player. Kane's finishing is class tho
  6. Excellent from England and Southgate has got his tactics spot on again. This game of course matters. It's England Scotland Ian. Ten Haag expert? That made me laugh. Maguire is playing cos his England form is good. Phillips showing why he playing and why he is playing for City. Sadly for him he is only squad player there
  7. really? so why has been in England regular for Southgate for years and one of the main stay of England team doing so well in World Cup 2018 Euro 2020?
  8. I see this as appointment to oversee the finance of the club but also about increasing club revenue streams. Plenty of us have suggested that the club needs to generate more revenue at the club
  9. excellent interview. one of my favourite players of all time.
  10. I believe he was away last week, so this week is the time for interviews with media with RoversTV, Radio Lancs, LT and maybe Lancs Live
  11. I asked Elliott Jackson and he said that Gregg Broughton is sitting down with the media on Wednesday.
  12. I would have thought any BCD match would have been played on Sunday. I wonder if Telalovic or a few other first team players like Markanday, Garrett, JRC, etc might be involve tonight?
  13. Sorry to hear your bad news @roverandout.
  14. It's was bore feast. Wish I didn't watch it and gone to watch a EFL game instead
  15. same but my worry is about who could we potential attract as new owner or owners My most important questions for any potential owners would be, is how they would fund the club, are they rich and can they fund the club, what their short, medium and long term plans for club, what sort of executive team would they appoint in certain roles?
  16. The question who would want to buy us? anyone know of any potential buyers?
  17. Just reading the thread for the first time and I don't anything about tax laws or investigations happening, etc so can't comment on this. I have said in the past that any new owner would need to pay £60 million pounds in the first year of owning Rovers. £25m for buying the club, £20m for buying the STC back and then £15m to cover the losses in the first year, then within the first 12 months appoint a new CEO Deputy CEO, new commercial and marketing leader to improve the commercial operation and increase revenue by millions. It would take 6 to 12 months to appoint them and implant this sort of commercial operation I agree they would have to right off the debt. Hopeful so. The bigger question is who would be interest in buying Rovers and and what experience have they got in running Sports/football team?
  18. India, Danny Batth and a summer of restrictions - inside Blackburn Rovers' transfer window India, Danny Batth and a summer of restrictions - inside Blackburn Rovers' transfer window - LancsLive
  19. Fair enough I think he might play more than we think. Wharton didn't do great in the situation for the 3rd goal either. Poor header from experience player. I would expect better. We have to see him when he plays. From what clips I have seen he looks a class player. I think we might just have a special player on our hands here
  20. Are we short in terms of number really? Our is the squad Keepers - Pears, Wahlstedt, Hilton RB - JRC, Brittain CB - Hyam, Carter, Wharton, Hill LB - Pickering, CM - Wharton, Travis, Tronstad, Garrett, RW - Hedges, Markanday AM - Szmodics, Moran LW - Sigurdsson, Dolan, ST - Gallagher, Telalovic, Ennis, Leonard Plus some of those listed above can play a number of different positions, So that's a squad of 24 plus then add our few of our younger players like Batty, Gamble, Bloxham and Glisenan. So in terms we have squad. Its depends what you call Experience but we have Hyam, Szmodics, Hedges, Scott Wharton, Brittain, Pickering, Travis, Gallagher all experience in English football then Tronstad has top flight Dutch football experience and Sigurdsson has Champions League/international experience. Question is when does a player become experience player and what do you base it on. On the signings point, we secure 5 signings who were our first choices in Ennis, Tronstad, Sigurdsson, Wahlstedt and Moran.
  21. Ok thanks That comment came actually from the player himself. here is the quote below:- I’m a striker who is very fast and physical and love to be in the game, playing football and scoring goals. I think my physical attributes and speed will fit playing in England" Rovers switch an exciting step for me, says Semir! | rovers.co.uk nope. why should it be concern at all? Given that he was very highly rated when Fleetwood and Bournemouth bought him for a reason and he has 4 England u20 caps and 1 u21 cap so it surely shows some quality given the huge pool they can pick from
  22. No surprise given how much Lancs Live has cut back on the coverage of Football. He wants to report on Footballing matters. Good luck to Elliott. Knows his stuff.
  23. apparently looking for a second and third tier team? where this from? why does it really matter what Hearts fans really think? Shouldn't it matters what he does in Rovers shirt only?
  24. ? very strange comment Of course it was just offside. cos their first 3 choice are injured or not fit enough in Varane, Martinez and Lindelof None of them. Newcastle will be very loyal to Howe given what he has achieved there. Same with Ten Hag who I think is doing a good job given the massive problem behind the scenes. Can Everton afford to sack Dyche either. I think it might Marco Silva at Fulham or Cooper at Forest. I think its a top 7 squad for sure. Tonali and Barnes will be good signings there. Isak looks quality striker and his last 2 performances shows that
  25. deffo. The Glazers bought United via a bank loan and its the club paying the bank loan off whilst the Glazers's wealth isn't affect one bit. Kompany's teams are just too wide open defensively and he hasn't got the balance right. He's a good keeper but defensively they are shocking as a team
