Listened to Kevin Gallagher on Radio Lancs who said Rovers should sell Sam Gallagher given he is out of contract this summer and we can get fee in which we can sign a replacement who will be here long term for us. Big question is would the fee be reinvested. I hope Rovers are seriously looking at Leeds's centre back Charlie Cresswell who was on loan at Millwall and has Championship experience. Plus we need a striker who will score more goals than Gallagher will and be our best striker and lead the line.

We all watch football and see players who you think would make good signings here. would we given that we don't work in football scouting or recruitment. It isn't so simple as you make it. I have listened to many podcasts with Football sporting director or head of recruitment plus watched the Salford football documentary and I listened to a podcast this week called Stick to football with Neville, Carragher, Wright, Keane and Scott who was discussing football transfers and who is responsible for transfers and who has veto on signings. Carragher revealed that Klopp was keen on signing Salah when Liverpool did but Klopp trusted his recruitment team and look at how that worked out. The problem is I see both of these players/signings who need developing and understanding the British game and how we want play when we signed them. That's the market we are in. We can't afford proven quality players as we can't afford the transfer fees involved or the wages. So you need to find players who have raw qualities but need developing into good players

Don't drink Abbey. All in the past now my drinking. That's our scouting and recruitment department are looking everywhere for signings.

I would like us to sign Swansea forward Liam Cullen. He can play up front as number 9 or wide right. Out of contract in the summer. Would be low fee. Given we need 4 to 5 more signings in this window and only 3 loan spots available(yes you can 8 loan players but only 5 in your match day squad) so going have to be 2 permanent transfers at least or we don't sign them

You know the wage budget was cut by 20% in the summer cos of Indian tax thing. Gallagher isn't good enough for me. A view I have held since the summer. We need better. I would go and sign WBA striker Brandon Thomas-Asante from WBA. Would fit how we play and has experience of this league already. but he would cost between 2m and 3m. Plus we need other positional signing like quick right winger or centre back

why would an international job be a great move for him? I don't see JDT leaving Rovers for Sweden international football job. It just wasn't his style of coaching and I see JDT has someone who loves day to day coaching and working with players on a daily basis The Lewis O'Brien incident had nothing to do with him, it was admin problem. I would sell Gallagher for £1.5m if we can reinvested the money and bring in players with it .
