  1. We also have an excellent coach with fitness background in ben Rosen has worked with JDT before twice plus he worked at Southampton with Pochettino was there excellent to know this. Its good that the players and JDT all met the fans today. Sadly wasn't attend myself but Rovers have said over 2k Rovers fans was there
  2. I would like to bring Styles in as centre midfielder and not as left back.
  3. Transfers take time and its takes days and even weeks to bring players in. That just how it works in football My work friend is very happy with this signing of course Jan Paul Van Hecke is a more than reasonable target? if the fee and wages are sensible then he is affordable. If we are talking crazy fee or wages then he isn't affordable. I think a transfer fee around 3 million with 15% sell on clause above the original fee plus 15k a wage. That the deal I would be looking at doing for him to bring him back home here. On the lists point, You will have around 5 or 6 players on different lists on the fee and wages they would cost.
  4. These supply chain problems have been for nearly 2 years now and Rovers can only do what they can. I know from my own workplace and company that we are struggling massive to get stock from the far east.
  5. and he ain't going to get match fit by playing when he is clearly not ready to. Lets trust our performance director Ben Rosen and the Physios here and leave it to their judgement given they know the exactly fitness of him
  6. Rovers Under-21s will come up against some of Europe’s biggest clubs in this season’s Premier League International Cup. Mike Sheron’s side have been drawn in Group A along with Celtic (Scotland), VfL Wolfsburg (Germany), FC Porto (Portugal) and Valencia (Spain). Fulham, Leicester City and Wolves complete the line-up, however the English clubs won’t play against each other. Premier League International Cup fixtures confirmed | rovers.co.uk
  7. read articles on him, what others say about him, been involved in Ireland coaching staff and at QPR
  8. I think West Brom and Boro will just missed out on top 6. I think Luton have made 3 very good signings that suit their team and manager there. I think Birmingham will finish around 18th this season. John Eustace is a good coach but he took on a hard job there as his 1st job as head coach of a football coach
  9. He did a very decent job and is no reason why they went down Just my opinion. We haven't needed to make massive playing staff changes like yourself. We only just miss out on top 6. Yes we lost a few players but if we can 4 or 5 quality signings plus BBD sign a new contract then I think we will make top 6
  10. But our head coach Jon Dahl Tomasson has explained the Dack fitness issue and given his lack of pre season minutes. Why disagree with that? why risk another injury with him by starting him against QPR
  11. Here is a link to every transfer made by every championship club so far Championship - Transfers 22/23 | Transfermarkt
  12. I think this season championship will be very interesting, exciting to watch and competitive. Here are my predictions for who I think will be champions, top 6 and who the bottom 3 will be Champions: Norwich Top 6: - Norwich, Sheffield United, Watford, Luton, Stoke, Blackburn Rovers Relegated: Wigan, Rotherham, Reading
  13. Its about 2 weeks since he returned to training. Well after Jon Dahl Tomasson comments post match it seems he will start on the bench for next week. Lets leave it Ben Rosen and JDT to decide whether he is ready for starting place
  14. 1. Where will Rovers finish ? If we sign the right players, Jon Dahl Tomasson settle quickly into this league then 5th and playoff place. If not around 9th for me 2. Who will be the Rovers (official) Player Of The Season ? Callum Brittain 3. Who do you think will be the breakout/breakthrough academy player this season ? (Let’s say under 23 at season start & fewer than 10 1st team appearances to be eligible) Jack Vale 4. Who will win the Championship ? Norwich 5. Where will Burnley finish ? 15th
  15. I think you will struggle and finish lower mid table with Kompany sack and Mike Jackson to the recuse. Its just what I think and based my opinion and experience of football Its my opinion based on my opinion and knowledge of championship football. I am fully aware of their squad and every squad from every team in this league. I am also aware of every signing made this summer in the championship. I still expect Burnley will lose 3 or 4 more players and they will need replacing. With such a turnover of players and staff I think they will struggle this season. You always talk this league down but I think its a very good standard of quality football. I have no idea why people think Boro will be there based on the currently when they need 2 or 3 quality strikers in before they can be be consider in the promotion hunt. Judging by Chris Wilder he knows this aswell. I think its wide open but I will be discussing more in the championship thread my opinions who I think we will win the league, finish top 6 and get relegate this coming season. I'm sure Sky Bet can give you good odds on that maybe.
  16. Fine if that your opinion but I don't. I think they will finish around 15th after sacking Kompany and appointing Mike Jackson as caretaker again
  17. For me, this is upgrade on Nyambe and I didn't think Nyambe was anymore than decent Championship full back. Others will disagree on this. I think Brittain deal a great deal for the club We have competitive wage budget but teams with parachute payments can offered more than us. That's football sadly now. I hope we bring in a 2 or 3 more permanent signings with 1 or 2 loans in the next 5 weeks No we are basing on current events and what we know. I stand by my comment that I think he might sign a new contract here if he didn't get a move this summer, I think Bournemouth decide to buy players they thought would be good enough to help them survival regelation. they might spend some money in the coming weeks. Still need a few players
  18. You need to do slowly and build him up bit by bit. He has already a niggling injury in pre season so we need to be careful and take our time doing it. Well no surprised to me that you would start him even tho he can't last the full game
  19. We seen plenty of PL teams relegated then struggle in the championship and finish mid table or lower.
  20. I'm amazed that you think I've been wrong. Finances have took a massive hit and that needed to restructure the loan with Michael Dell. Yes you will sell players to help them situation. Do you deny any of that? O'Hare fee was 10 million which you refuse to meet to on that point you are correct. Well good football journalists have said Cornet has relegation release clause and I'm surprised he hasn't gone yet. He's been linked with 3 or 4 PL clubs On McNeil, I think PL clubs might wait until closer to the deadline before trying to get him. It will be interesting to see how Barnes and Rodriguez especially if you are going to play a pressing game
  21. I'm not sure about having one of the best squad in this league. Very young at Centre back area in terms of championship experience. Same with the new keeper Muric. I think Josh Cullen and Scott Twine are both very good signings. I think Cornet and McNeil will leave before the end of the window. Plus can Barnes and Rodriquez still be affect at this level. I wonder how Kompany will set up against Huddersfield and it will be interesting to see the team he picks for the Huddersfield.
  22. Jon Dahl Tomasson on Ben Brereton Diaz Future https://c.newsnow.co.uk/A/1137973804?-11198:839 Rovers boss Tomasson says he has enjoyed working with Brereton-Diaz but was frank enough to admit that players of his calibre are 'wanted'. The Dane said Rovers will 'see what will happen' with the attacker, but suggested he would make Brereton-Diaz coffee and breakfast every morning if he signs a new long-term deal at Blackburn. Tomasson said: “I have a very good relationship and connection with the boy. I’ve enjoyed working with him and I’ve always said from the beginning that good players are wanted. “We will see what will happen. For me he can sign a five-year deal and I will make him coffee and breakfast every morning.”
  23. didn't we play 4-2-3-1 yesterday for the full game?
  24. Where are the bids then for Ben Brereton? No reported about any bids from clubs in the last few days and that the fact he is playing a full part in pre season aswell. I did think that Ben Brereton Diaz and Rovers could agree a new long term contract especially if we get no bids for him. If you disagree fine but that my opinion like or don't That's fine if you don't it happening. No concerns from me. JDT might want to play Markanday or Hedges as a ten so opening a space on the right side or he might want to play him on the left. I heard similar and she wanted to move back south Not sure this is correct at all Very good point. It only take a minute for a bid to be made and accept. I think you are spot on there. I guess that Bournemouth don't want to over spend but be sensible financially. Didn't realised they only signed 2 players and both free transfers. Well we signed Brittain for around 1 million pounds. You happy with that signing and cost? This isn't just employee from Rovers but the Head coach Jon Dahl Tomasson saying this.
