  1. one player I would target whether we went up or not would be Barnsley Midfielder Callum Styles. On the right back situation given that Nyambe is leaving and Zeefuik seems injury alot then do we need a new right back signing or is James Brown good enough quality if we don't go up? I don't know enough on him or seen enough of him to comment on that
  2. Who knows what will happen with those clubs for next season regarding transfer embargo. But their financials are mess of those clubs. Surely their local media knows alot more about their local clubs then us. On Us, We were in embargo earlier in the summer before Venkys bought their training ground to make us make their 39 million losses threshold. Going forward, The Armstrong sale money will cover some of those losses maybe all but we should be able to spend some money even if we don't go up this summer. Was Rothwell an important player for us 18 months ago? If those players want to leave and move on at the end of the contract then thats their choice. We have just agreed a new long term contract for Kaminski so money is there for wages but we have made each player an improved contract offer as Mowbray has said but none of those want to sell. I said last week we had 5 meetings with Nyambe and his agent over the last week in January and first couple of weeks in February before they ended talks and won't engage with the club again. This is from a different social media Rovers related site. As someone posted on here maybe he wants to move on from Rovers and move to a new club or country like France. But I haven't seen any clubs linked with him so where and who is interested in him. Just hope his agent hasn't sold down the river there
  3. Some people could say that turn around on people who will look to blame the club at every opportunity available We did made bids for Barnsley Midfielder Callum Styles for 1.5 million which bid was accepted by them but he wanted to stay at Barnsley to help them survived. I can respect that decision actually. We also had a bid accepted by Peterborough for Dembele for 1.5 million and we held talks with him but he went to Bournemouth. Can Rovers be blame for either of those situation?
  4. I don't think either Swansea and Barnsley were crap at all but had managers who played a way to get the best out of that squad. Last season we should have got top 6 given how Mowbray was backed in terms of signings and the quality he signed. No-one but they played to their strengths but I feel they might hit the buffer zone shortly looking at their run in
  5. If you saying that about myself then myself look at yourself who is similar at blaming the club for these 3 players not signing new contract here given that 2 of those in late 20's and will have one more move in them to get to PL and potential bigger pay day No its ain't a failure of the model at all. 3 players have decide to test the free agent market which is their right. We have been in talks for nearly 2 years over new contracts and we have failed to agree terms. Given that for last 2 years barely any club has been linked with any of the 3 of them so why is that?
  6. I would suspect he would go into the under 23's first before we start to hopefully develop him for the first team maybe look at number of teams who are scouting him and reporting interested in him. Barely in mind he is 18 years old. Glad to see you in a positive mood on a lovely Sunday morning. Nope I don't. and who says we are going to fall down the table?
  7. You could tell that just be listening commenting on a live match or even when captain Hampshire. Shame he was never name permanent Australia cracking programme to watch
  8. Given that we now have 3 games in 7 days first team wise, Is this just going to be under 23 behind close game? I have posted what the agreed fee was reported by local media. Thats it. I will leave you with it whether he was a flop at Hertha Berlin or not.
  9. Blackburn out to poach non-league strike sensation Josh Stones from Guiseley. Wigan also interested https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/football/17856616/josh-stones-guiseley-transfer-blackburn-wigan/
  10. Hasn't Mowbray already said he won't won't feature in the next 3 games anyway? The next under 23 game is Arsenal away on 14th February which I guess he will feature in
  11. I was looking forward to seeing Zeefuik and whether he was going to good enough to sign permanently if we got promote. But now he pick up this injury its look unlikely he will feature much now before his loan deal end. I like the Barnsley right back/wing back Callum Brittain. He would be a target if he available at the right price
  12. Yes. I think Parker and Bournemouth players are under massive pressure there to delivery. Not sure they have in them but time will show. Lets see if they can. Well that's your choice But soon as you do it for one player than other players' agents will use that against the club each time. Don't forget that Nyambe has the same player agency as Dack and Brereton have.
  13. Why bring Dack into this when he hasn't played one minute all season for us? I think Dolan did more than enough in the last 2 games to start the next one. His pressing is something we need in the team. He deserved his MOTM award against QPR.
  14. Think both actually. A younger squad has led to better fitter but I feel that Rovers have worked harder on fitness this season then previous in my opinion. It will be interesting who replace him
  15. Well done Chelsea for beating them so well. No surprise Newcastle are pulling away. It wouldn't surprise if Watford beat Arsenal tonight and Everton beat Spurs on Monday night.
  16. We have been told they were offered new improve contracts by Mowbray and Waggott. If you keep increasing wage ceiling each time we can't agree a new contract then what's the point in a wage budget?
  17. Delighted with the QPR and Bournemouth losses today. Well done Preston for beating Bournemouth.
  18. I believe it was loan with option to buy for 3.5 million Blackburn Rovers announce signing of Hertha Berlin's DeyovaisioZeefuik | Lancashire Telegraph
  19. Why drop Dolan after an impressive game against QPR where his role as the pressing forward we one of the reasons we made QPR look so poor?
  20. Why bring Dack into this when he hasn't played one minute all season for us and I not sure he will feature that much in the coming games either. Some teams have worked out out and stop our attacking players being such an influence on the game in recent games. But Will are still the playoffs and like last week against QPR we got the win from Khadra. We outplayed a promotion rival last week and 2 of the reasons for that was Khadra and Dolan. Both young players who are developing and learning each time they are playing. Giles should have scored today and if Johnson wasn't offside than Gallagher would have counted. He was in the right place today and made an impact when he came on which is good to see
  21. Aren't we investing in our academy every seasons and bringing through players like Buckley, Travis, Wharton, Carter, etc under Mowbray over the last couple of seasons? Maybe you missed that bit. Best prospects? Lenihan and Rothwell are in the last 20's and have one good contract leave or move to another club for bigger wages. We have been in talks with Lenihan, Rothwell and Nyambe for near 2 years where we have made them improve contracts and they have decide to not sign them. Nyambe and his agent have stop engaging with the club over new contract talks. If his agent think he can get him a better deal and club elsewhere then thats Nyambe's decision to make.
  22. We will never been financally viable(not making a loss each year on the balance sheet) until we get promoted but given that we have owners to fund the club mainly themselves. Cos we have the chance of promotion whilst the club you mention Stoke City promotion hopes seems to be gone. So why are Stoke, Boro and Bristol City worried about transfer bans, sanctions, etc for next season then? Been reported in their local media https://www.bristolpost.co.uk/sport/football/steve-lansdown-bristol-city-salary-6682406 Stoke City post £56m loss after being hit by massive double whammy - Stoke-on-Trent Live (stokesentinel.co.uk) You prefer us to be under transfer embargo which means we can't offer increase wage contracts to players like Travis, Buckley, etc for the future. Plus can't sign players for transfer fees and loan players who clubs want a loan fee. So who are we signing permanent? free agents? We have made good improve contracts offers to Rothwell, Lenihan and Nyambe to them for nearly 2 years now and they have chosen not to signed that which is their right. Would I be offering wages we shouldn't be paying for them? no I wouldn't. We have a wage budget and we should stick to it.
  23. Still can't believe Shane Warne has die yesterday and we have lost a great of the game. He will be missed and it was only last week after his comments about the England job I starting to think he might make a good choice as England next test coach
  24. We have been through a tough patch of results just like every team does. QPR are going a similar one and in our game last week against them we outplayed them in the main. Fulham and Bournemouth went through similar patches earlier in the season. I am worried by today's defeat? no not at all given Fulham quality squad and the wage bill there should be bossing this league and winning this league. We now have 3 home games in a week to put points on the total and go towards securing our playoff place as a minimum
  25. I thought the first half we were outclassed by them and we were poor. Second half we upped our tempo and press better from the front. Might have been different game had Gallagher goal not be offside and Giles had scored with his 2 efforts. Anyway we now move on and look forward to the next 11 games which we must secure a playoff place as minimum. Its vital now we take a minimum off 7 points from our next 3 games which are all at home. So lets win against Millwall now Results went for us today in the mainly. onwards and upwards Rovers.
