  1. How many times do I really need to say this that Buckley would be regular Starter in my team? Butterworth and Davenport would be squad players. Yet again, I think I have make my opinion on Chapman over the past 18 months quite clear. Do I need to repeat it again? Well we have some quality players in the squad like Kaminski, Lenihan, Travis, Ayala, Armstrong. and depending on who those additions are we see where come end of the transfer window. I can name who I would target but is it worth it?
  2. Research Stuart Webber and you will find what he does as DoF at Norwich
  3. well not cos Dack will be back before Christmas Yes loan one of the keeper out, fair enough but Buckley would be regular starter for next season and Davenport and Butterworth should stay around the squad for the season. Both will be needed this season So what's the point in loan or selling him when we have just re sign him. So that's 6 spaces including a replacement for Armstrong.
  4. I told you the rules recently so I don't need to be told thanks Roversfan99. Yes GK- Kaminski, Pears, Stergiakis Def- Nyambe, Lenihan, Ayala, Wharton, Carter, Pickering Mid- JRC, Rothwell, Buckley, Davenport, Johnson, Travis, Chapman Str- Armstrong, Brereton, Gallagher, Butterworth That's 21 players just there. Then we have Pike who will be back right right back, Dolan for the wing and McBride for up front. So where your 9 spaces? I kept telling you that we can't be signing loads of players to the 25 man squad rules. Maybe you should have been listening to me? So we need a centre back, back up left back, centre midfielder and wide left player. Then a replacement for Armstrong.
  5. Park isn't coming in as director of football(Mail got that wrong) and but as head of recruitment at Rovers. Look at the role/job that Stuart Webber as done at Huddersfield and Norwich City. He appointed Wagner at Huddersfield and Farke at Norwich. So it has had success at those clubs.
  6. Warnock spent more transfer fees than we did last summer.
  7. far too early to make any judgements on how every team will go this coming season. But worth of caution I remember certain people on here said Warnock would get Boro top 6 last season and they never got close and Rovers took 4 points of them. Most signings haven't been made at this level yet so we see in a few weeks time
  8. I imagine it will 5 or 6 in total cos our current squad has 19 players thats meet the 25 man squad rules that we must submit in after the window. So we will be able to sign 6 players unless we sell anyone to allow us sign another player. For me, We need centre back, back up left back, defensive midfielder, wide left player and the main one is how do we replace Armstrong as our main striker @roversfan99 this answers your previous question
  9. I would say Norwich City have that structure and its works for them. Stuart Webber and Daniel Farke have been brilliant for that club. Plenty of PL clubs have director of football with a manager or head coach under them. Works at most clubs Mowbray is out of contract at the end of this current season and We don't know what the future holds for him. I think he will leave in summer 2022. The owners have allowed this You avoid the question. So I take it you wouldn't have been bothered
  10. what evidence do you want? but I trusted the person who told me. We will sign around 5 players this summer. Nyambe has 172 first team games, Pickering has 167 first team games, Brereton has 145 first team games, Wharton has 110 games under his belt. These aren't kids but players will over 100 games to their name. shame he hasn't played there much
  11. It appears that John Park will be head of recruitment and not director of football at the club. I don't know whether he will be involved in transfers negotiations but we will see in the future. Now going forward it important that Park find the right players for the going forward for the club. I wonder if he has any suggestions for a replacement for Adam Armstrong. He has worked in Europe and Scotland so hopefully will have a good range of European contacts. I am concern that Mowbray has been involved in selecting process? well no I am as he is the manager here. McCarthy at Cardiff has brought in his own chief scout there in Dave Bowman who has worked with several times before there. Ipswich Town: Dave Bowman joins McCarthy at Cardiff City | East Anglian Daily Times (eadt.co.uk). So @JHRoverwould you have voiced your concerns if McCarthy was here as manager and he brought in Bowman as head of recruitment?
  12. Crooke says Park will be director of football https://www.lancs.live/sport/football/football-news/blackburn-rovers-park-appointment-celtic-21060276.amp?__twitter_impression=true Daily Mail says John Park will be director of football

  14. I want to develop our talent young players and keep using our great academy when we can. I'm not going to keep talking about Mowbray still being here as manager every day with you. Thats what you want. I want to 2 players fighting for the position in the team regards of age. Neither will prove themselves unless you start them and play them and allow them to develop. Also JRC doesn't want to play right back and that was one of key problems why he didn't sign a new contract unless June cos he wants to be played further forward. Brereton from the left or up front this coming season Cos he is 22 years old in December and if he isn't going to be part of the first team squad this season will he ever be. I see Pike as the second right back after Nyambe
  15. Thanks for the reply and such a in depth reply. I hope you don't get any pain now from your back. I agree with your opinion on Butterworth.
  16. Rovers linked with Joe Bennett Blackburn Rovers have considered Joe Bennett after Cardiff City exit - The 72
  17. did you suffer with back pain in your early 20's
  18. Pickering has nearly 150 games for Crewe and for me will only improve for us by playing here. Agreed with keeping Wharton, Buckley and Davenport here. Buckley should be key midfield player along with Travis this season. Why loan Carter out at the age of 21? Surely if he is going to make here it has to be this season? Dolan and JRC should be competing for the right side of the attack with each other so why loan either out? Why loan Pike out when he is the back up right back option at the club?
  19. Yes the wage bill has dropped but I wonder the owners have cut the budget resulting in a small wage bill this season for the club. Don't think the problem is money with Armstrong but he wants a crack at Premier League football. I don't see why either one of them need replacing considering they were injury prone and we have also 5 players for the centre midfielders so only need one more midfielder who would be defensive midfielder for the signing.
  20. I can understand that you would change tactics and why. But whatever your formations and style of players your squad and signings must fit into that. Thats where I think some of Mowbray's signings haven't fitted this. I don't want to over Mowbray again please. We both know each opinions on it. Can we agree on this? I never thought it was your lust for transfer news after knowing you for so long on here and twitter. I would have like Ryan Woods and Sonny Bradley signing here. Both experience players I think we should. Could be the ideal number 10 player we need and gives Rothwell/Buckley competition for that role.
  21. I will have a look and speak to a friend or 2.
  22. Football finance expert Kieran Maguire on Rovers' accounts
  23. Didn't we offer him a new contract last summer and been in talks for 12 months but no new deal sign yet?
  24. Do you what the wage budget is for this season and surely Rovers would have wage cap in place? Mowbray doesn't want to give Graham a new deal last season like Graham said on the Rovers Chat podcast with himself. Not listened to it? Smallwood and Samuel were always going JH. More theories from yourself Thats the problem tho. You signed players that will fit into your formation and style of play. Not just sign players that don't fit into your tactical approach like we seen with Mowbray signing Gallagher, Johnson, Ayala that don't fit into his possession based footballing style. But are any of them what we need in terms of signings? I can understand that you want Rovers to make signings asap but so far I've only seen 2 players who have move clubs or re sign at the current club that I would have wanted to bring Rovers. Is there any signings players made so for any championship club you would have wanted at Rovers? Bennett was always leave this summer and move closer to home based like I said before. Why keep injury prone players like Evans and Holtby? Plus all 3 would have too limited Mowbray transfer market signings as the current squad has 19 players that meet the age limit and criteria to be qualify as senior player in the 25 players squad rules. Carter is 21 years now and will be 22 years old in December so surely its either use him as part of the first team squad or not and sell him. He was excellent for Burton and played a key part why they stayed up like they did.
