  1. Ive seen McCathy style and tactics since Ireland at clubs like Sunderland, Wolves and Ipswich..its hoofball and boring. No wonder Fans are bored of it after 6 years. Plus his antics towards to Ipswich fans arent impressive.. He wasnt given time at Wolves due to certain reasons and he walk away from Rovers cos of the owners. McCarthy has had sensible and reasonable owner for 6 years..
  2. No Ive not missing the point Rovesfan99 at all. So stop saying that every time I disagree with you.. You said McCarthy has had success and attractive football together. I asked you to name this and you couldnt do so. So you cant back your point up. Yet again!!! Lets see If Stoke are in the championship next season or not. If they were I would give Lambert a season to get promotion. Let him build a champiomship squad capable of achieving promotion that season
  3. he hasn't been allowed to at his last 2 clubs. thought he did fine at Rovers and he was building a team for promotion the season after. what teams has McCarthy been in charge off and played attractive football then? did he at Ireland?
  4. McCarthy spent 3 million pounds this summer on 3 players a million each. those players being Waghorn, Garner and Huws. Ive commented on his dull football and his methods being old fashion. Lambert wasn't a failure at Rovers or Wolves. As he wasn't at these clubs for even 8 months. At Rovers he was rebuilding a squad mid season and he did a decent job here but It would have been interested in seeing what Lambert long term plans were here.
  5. Can I ask people what their England team would be 1st test of the summer?
  6. I seen a lot of McCarthy teams over the 16 years and they aren't attractive to watch at all. It direct football from him which his way fair enough but I wouldn't want to watch his team each week. Yes he has won this league the most so he a good manager at this level but In my opinion his football is dour and boring. So I can understand why Ipswich fans are fed up of him and his tactics after 6 years in charge. I've seen Ipswich for the past 6 years. Look at their squad with Players like Huws, Adeyemi, Hyam, Ward in midfield with Garner, McGoldrick, Sears and Waghorn up front I wouldnt expect long ball football with those players
  7. If thats your view fair enough. When I said another Allardyce I meant comments and reaction towards the fans. Look at what McCarthy has said towards fans and reaction to them.
  8. Bairstow played very well tonight. 97 not out. Wood's inning was good and attacking. 290-8 now end of day 1. Fairly even day for both teams.. Questions have to be ask about Cook, Stoneman and Vince future now? With Nick Gubbins, Bell Drummond, Dan Lawrence, Liam Livingstone, Haseeb Hameed and Joe Clarke all waiting for their chance in the team.
  9. I dont remember any attractive football played by McCarthy even.
  10. What is even that attractive football back then? Dont remember being that good tbh. Never said underachieving did I? Another poster making comments up that I NEVER SAID!!! I dont see some Ipswich fans missing him after some of his comments towards fans. Another Allardyce
  11. Thats 16 years ago. Bllmey. Football has change so much in the past 5 years let alone 16 years. Waghorn, Hyam, Chambers, Garner, McGoldrick plus some very good loan players aswell. Ive seen all football highlights each week from championship. Plus some fans comments. Ive listened to Talksport today whilst talking Ipswich and they fed up of McCarthy, his tactics and his antics towards the fans.
  12. no thanks. don't want to watch hoofball football McCarthy's style, tactics and philosophy are out dated and not what we need
  13. Fans don't want hoofball tho. that's what you get with McCarthy in charge. WBA fans had enough of Pulis hoofballand wanted change and got it just a shame that Pardew got the job after. Pulis did the same at Stoke and the fans got fed up with eventually . I expect WBA to sack Pardew in the summer when a clause can be activate and cost them less to sack him. (I would have done it by now cos they are down). I think in the summer WBA will appoint either Appleton or Pearson will be appoint. Now on to Stoke, Lambert has promotion on his CV and if they went down I would stick by him. but both need a overhaul of their squad and have players who know what the championship is about and played in it before Just watch the games that's been on TV over the past 3 years of his team and when we played them they have been boring hoofball all the time. I watch the Norwich game with Ipswich and both teams were awful. Plus reading Ipswich fans complaining about him and his football for years McCarthy is old school and hasn't learnt to develop his methods, tactics, style of play and philosophy over the years. He has got a good team there and a team that could play more attacking and score goals. I can understand the fans being unhappy and wanting change of ways there. I not a fan of him but his record is very good and his football isn't bad at all. lets calm down here and chill out. manager betting odds are easy to change look at the Oxford United manager betting they were all over the place. Can I see Mowbray going to Ipswich? not really tbh when I think he has got here and the way he is allow to sign players and backed by the owners
  14. Good manager but the past 3 seasons his football is boring and fans are fed up of it. No surprise he leaving. Best for all parties Hasnt McClaren been linked to this job? I think Mowbray would be staying here The Ipswich fans have had to watch dire football and they had enough and rightly so. Sheffield Wed, West Brom and Stoke fans wouldnt want him there. His style of football is dire and fans dont want that.
  15. Woakes and Ali dropped for this next test. Look like Vince will play instead of Livingstone. Huge mistake imo.. Stokes wont bowl so it going to 4 bowlers attack. The last 2 spots in team is between Wood, Leach and Overton. I would go Leach and Wood. Would have played Livingstone myself.. So top 7 will be Cook Stoneman Vince Root Malan Stokes Bairstow.
  16. Look at Sterling last 2 performances for England just like Lingard been very good and on current form(for England under Southgate) both have to start over Rashford and Ali. Tough but its good competition for places. Kane is a starter for sure. 7 goals in 6 games under Southgate for England
  17. 2 good attacking.performances. Last night defensively not the best but its a friendly. I think Walker will be in the back 3 now. Settled well there in these 2 games. Probably next Stones and Maguire. Pickford would be my keeper. Tripper and Rose are 1st choices for wing backs role. Dier in centre midfielder with one another from Henderson or Chamberlain or Wilshere. Then either Ali or Lingard in 10 role with Kane and Sterling up front. Looks a good team on paper. Can it performance at the world cup? We will see
  18. VAR doesnt work like I keep saying and never will in football
  19. Yes compare to the Ashes series. Thought Stokes, Stoneman, Root and Woakes did well but the 1st 3 should have gone on further. Boxing? The only boxing Ive ever watched is the Rocky movies. Dont watch any sort of boxing or ufc so dont know the 2 names you mention. Sorry
  20. Nobody being aggressive so stop making things up to suit your argument.
  21. Its time we played proper warm up games and not these stupid boring knock about games. We had this under Fletcher and now under Bayliss. Would like to see changes in the Test team With those ive mention before. Also time players like Joe Clarke, Bell Drummond, Jamie Overton were around the team
  22. England need to change batting order and bring in Livingstone, Wood and Leach. I would drop Overton, Broad who looks like he will be injured, Ali. I thought we put up a strong fight against New Zealand and I felt the 2 turning points was Root and Stokes dismissals
  23. I told you my squad this week and yes I have consider what Southgate has done and said. Please show me where I have said I hate this formation? Just more lies from yourself and you know it Stop talking down to me again. I agree with Southgate playing 3 at the back and the style of play that's suits our players. I don't see the point discussing a different formations to what Southgate ha already said he will play. very pointless debate and discussion
  24. Southgate is right to play at the back and play out from the back mainly, Smalling has played 37 games this season for Man Utd but not sure he suited to play the ball out from the back Cahill was picked of he plays in a back 3 and understand that role but this season he has been poor despite playing 35 games for Chelsea. whilst Maguire has been very good for England and Leicester and deserve to start. Stones is very talented and will start. its who will partner him and Maguire. should it been Gomez or Dier or possibly Walker or Jones. I would take Gomez and use Dier in centre midfielder as holding midfielder Cook is a very talented midfielder and someone I would be developing and using at this level I don't see an exposed England Sqaud, I see a England squad not scared with the some old mentality of the past and scared to play the football they can.
