KP will play around the world in the twenty20 comp and good luck to him with that we have a good team going forward in Test and one day format. Australia were poor cos we made them very poor by playing good cricket against them. Plus they were unbelieve arrogant with their cricket. Got what they deserve. Backed the Establishment? Really? I would be bring in Rashid for Finn and play 2 spinners at the Oval cos we will need to play 2 spinners against Pakistan in the UAE.

I just felt that players like Root, Bell, Board and Anderson would be crucial for us to win the ashes back if they performed. Also Cook deserves huge credit for his captaincy and Bayliss/Farbrace aswell

Good performance by England. Bell back in form. Finn's bowling was superb. Let's go and win the next test. Will Australia make changes? Clarke out of form, Voges struggling? Stark not bowling well enough? Haddin to come back in? I would bring in Mark Wood for James Anderson now he is out of the next test match

Finn's bowling yesterday was top class and back to the old Steven Finn.

Very good bowling display by Anderson, Board and Finn. I think Lyth is trying to be far too attacking. Poor dismissal. Bell played very well until he played a Stupid shot to Lyth

We need a pitch that helps our English bowlers. We need to take 20 wickets to win the test match. Looking forward to see Bairstow playing test cricket again and hope he played the short ball much better

very pleased that Bairstow have been called up to the squad. would have like to see James Taylor in the squad. Media reports ar saying that Bell will bat number 3, Root at Number 4 and Bairstow at number 6 Also wouldn't be surprised to see Rashid or Finn play in the next test.

Botham, Warne, Ponting, Hussain, Atherton all saying that Root should bat at 3 in the test. I see James Taylor and Bairstow both scored centuries today for their counties. Maybe bring one of those in at number 5.

Al, My opinion is very different to yours on certain subjects. Its not my fault you cant accept different opinions. On today's Display, pathetic and shambles. Hope Cook rips them apart in the dressing room after the game. Far too many under performed in this test match who played very well in the first test. Bayliss's comment before this game were spot on about Aussies coming back even stronger

Lyth has got out twice very poor and both times didn't have to play at the ball. I think it might be time for a new opening batsman coming in. Maybe Hales Maybe Wood if we play 2 spinners. I just don't believe Ali is good enough at this stage to be your first choice spinner. I like Ali as a player and his batting is his main strength IMO. Edgbaston has been a spinning wicket this summer I believe Still fully behind the team and that's why I have bought tickets for test matches. I will get behind any England player who play for the team.

so do I. I wouldn't get rid of Bell. But Lyth and Ballance have to get a score in the second innings if they fail maybe time for a change. But I might be tempt to bring in Finn or Rashid in the next test depending on the type of wicket we play on

I totally agree on this. can see this being a boring test match with England matching/coming close to Aussie score. the pitch is slow and far too flat for test matches

I agree there K-Hod that Ali's Bowling was good. Aussies need to make couple of changes to their team. They are missing Ryan Harris badly. I can see Watson and Stark(injured) been left out with Siddle and Marsh coming in. The England bowlers were great and they stuck to the plan for each batsman.
