  1. Pardew isn't a joke, he was in the recent poll done on here. I would go for Damien Johnson as head coach with a good number 2 and appoint a sporting director like Steve Walsh or Tony Henry. My other choices would be Nigel Pearson, Gareth Ainsworth. Wouldn't be against an overseas head coach in the right set up.
  2. We played for 1 and half game. That's it!!! Dack was man marked against Cardiff, Sheffield Wednesday. Plus teams are pushing up higher at times against us. I would have took Dack off against Sheffield Wednesday tbh. No impact and Hutchinson man marked him second half.
  3. I don't feel we could get Lee Bowyer realistic tbh but with his contract being up in the summer and the owner wanted out still and massive uncertainly over that. We could possible get him Did I not mention that Ainsworth team this season have kept 9 clean sheets. Hughton aint coming here this season. He might well change his mind after a season of not being a manager. We don't pay big wages manager wise simple as. Hughton HAS turned down Stoke City job twice and Sheffield Wednesday in the summer. Realistic options are someone like Nigel Pearson, Alan Pardew, Damien Johnson, Nigel Adkins, Chris Coleman, Ian Holloway, Aitor Karanka, Carlos Carvalhal
  4. Dack drop deeper cos teams have worked us out so either man marked Dack or push up the pitch higher than usual. Most managers are too stubborn if their philosophies. Its very easy for us to comment as its not our job or on the line Ive not over the signings Mowbray made or should have made over the past summer as we know what we all think
  5. You make many good points in your post. if me and you were to pick our team for the Barnsley game I would imagine we would pick about 7 or 8 players the same. Possible a different formation aswell. IMO, Mowbray wants to play either 4-2-3-1 or 3-4-2-1 formation wise. I feel that sometimes he is looking to over complicant things at times instead of keeping it simple and stick with it for few games. One of my biggest criticism of him is failing to sign a leader at the back, experience right back and keeper. We didn't know loads of signings but mostly defensively signings we need, I have posted a number of different managers suggestions in a past few weeks. what do you think of those suggestions
  6. Wouldn't Sheffield Wednesday and Stoke City offer much bigger wages than us and he still turned them down. He still thinks he a PL manager. His signings at Brighton in the last 12/18 signings wasn't good enough. I would guess we pay about 500-600k for manager wise. So I cant see them paying them more. In my opinion we can attract a good manager. I have given a number of different options over the last few days/weeks. I have been very vocal about the structure changes I like to see at the club and us move towards sporting director/head coach structure but all this depends on the owners and board to discuss and decide. I would feel that any overseas coach we might look employ would want this system employed at the club as this what they are used to working in and not involved in scouting or club structure matters.
  7. Well Atkins did say this. I decided to listen to BBC Lancs cos Atkins was on there commentating on Rovers. I enjoyed listening to him when on. Yes Atkins and Sherwood did that. Always enjoyed them 2 in the team. I do think Travis come get forward more and score more goals. Evans in Northern Ireland shirt is a different player to one in a Rovers shirt. We can debate different systems all we want but we need to.play a way and system that suits the players. I listened to Pulis on last night football league talking about this issue and playing a formation that suits the players. I wonder how he play formation wise and players wise.. Same here. We missed out on signings we needed this season and last season..
  8. Well I look at his performances for Northern Ireland are miles better than Rovers No need for that. The players Ive mention were getable. Jansson cos the same fee as Gallagher. Byram was 500k and Pantilimon wouldnt have cost alot fee wise. Mowbray mess up this summer transfer business with his failure to sign a leader at centre back, right back and experience keeper. That lands at his door not the owners or club door. If he had done and we better defensively, more solid and picking up clean sheets.
  9. Wrong I havent just suggested him cos hes a Blackburn Rovers fan but of the job he has done at Wycombe. 2 promotions, very limited budget, his team has kept 9 clean sheets this season in the league( i think). Barton has no promotion on his CV. There is no modern day Souness type as football has move on from those days now. I wouldnt have mind Michael O'Neill here tbh. Always impressed me with Northern Ireland, will sort defence out. Ive mention Damien Johnson and Nigel Pearson as possible replacement for Mowbray. Lee Bowyer could be option if we could get him. Believe his contract runs out in summer
  10. England win the series 3 - 2 by winning in super over. Jordan bowled the super over great..
  11. He aint coming here anytime soon Turned down Sheffield Wednesday in the summer and Stoke City twice including once the last week after Jones sacking.
  12. We have to agree to disagree on Raya. Well I'm happy to take Mark Adkins opinion. He waa Rovers great for me. Very underrated player IMO. On Evans, you watch him play under Michael O'Neill for Northern Ireland he a different player imo. Stupid nearly formation Mowbray plays? We play 4-2-3-1 mostly. How many teams these days play 4-4-2 is very rare.. My point is we should have sign both of them.
  13. What his style of play? Formation? Coaching staff? How much has Ainsworth spent at Wycombe each season and how many signings has he made?
  14. Pantilimon from Forest/. Ex Man City keeper.
  15. Who knows? None of us know do we
  16. Raya isnt better than Walton at all. Raya still making the same mistakes as before at Brentford. Holtby isnt a centre mid in the Championship. Adkins on bbc Radio Lancs said the same today. If we had a back 4 of Byram Adarabioyo Jansson Cunningham Then that a top 6 back 4. Ive mentioned the keeper Ive wanted for ages so wont again.
  17. They must be interested at some level at least to keep funding/spending money on the club. Just looked at Leicester owners and what they have done since taking over there. And they have a top manager there and look like top 4 finish this season.
  18. We dont pay big wages. I like to see Johnson or Ainsworth in myself
  19. Hughton wont come here. He turned then Stoke job down twice and Sheff Wed job in the summer. why would he come here when the reason according to the press he is waiting for PL job
  20. 1 win wasn't going to change my mind. now if we won today and played well and been solid defensively, then follow it with a few more wins then I might change my mind but no chance of it on current form. We need a new manager/head coach with fresh ideas and willing to give the youth a chance and sign experience players we need in positions we needed then. I would still like Damien Johnson given a go. Other names I would look at are Gareth Ainsworth, Nigel Pearson, and I'm sure people will have the own suggestions aswell. I feel that Hughton and Pulis are well out of our reach as a club due to wage demands, budgets they want. I've been very impressed with Forest manager Lamouchi since he come into Championship. His game plan, structure, defensive shape and organised defence He spoke about the structure of the club and his role within the structure. Also said German coaches are head coaches not managers as they are used to Sporting Director/head coach structure not the English structure
  21. My view is still the same is that we need a change and that hasn't change on the back of 1 win. I listened to Norwich City's Sporting Director last night before their game and found what he had to say very interesting and I agree with most of what he said. We don't have a game for 2 weeks now so will the owners decide to make a change of manager.
  22. what's one of these? someone you want and not someone you didn't want
  23. Everyone is entitled to their view. [Plenty of fans at Ewood Park are right behind him and think he is the right manager for us. Wont have a word said against him. That stat isn't good enough His transfer business in the summer was just wrong and he didn't sign what we needed
  24. How do you know that our owners aren't interested? look at the money they spend each season on the club. Travis shouldn't be the main stay of our centre midfield at his age. He needs an experience player next to him which I thought Johnson would be. Dack doesn't effect these types of games away from home cos he has no room to work in and far too deeper. Mowbray should have gone for a proper centre back like Jansson or an other but he didn't. That is costing here big time just like an experience right back I wonder how he would play under Michael O'Neill his international manager. Ive always been impressed with his performances for them Depends on who the manager was who replace Mowbray if he ever sack? You need to remember he is young keeper. Brighton think he will be premier league class keeper.
