I haven't read everyone comments or even seen the goals but my thoughts are:- Thought we played some excellent play today, Some good movement and short passing. Rovers played 4-2-3-1 with Armstrong as the main striker but he just didn't stay centre but use his movement Holtby and Downing was different class. Johnson and Tosin a liability. Nyambe did ok but just imagine if we had got Sam Byram as I wanted in the summer. Felt after they scored we struggle after/. I didn't understand why he took Holtby off or to bring on Gallagher. I would bought on Rankin Costello instead. Moving Armstrong wide just upset the balance of the team. Poor decision. I don't see how Graham come have on for Downing and who would have played with Johnson in centre mid.

Well I did say Johnson would be my choice to replace Mowbray. Others managers I would look at are Gary Rowett, Gareth Ainsworth, Nigel Adkins, Carlos Carvalhal, I have repeatedly said the structure I would like to see bought in with Sporting Director and Head coach structure. Allows the head coach to foucs on the team and tactics and everything like that. Sporting Director finds the players then him and head coach pick the signings/targets they want to sign. If the owners want to speak directly to Mowbray they will. I expected Venus to take a step back from coaching and become of head of football operations over then coming months

For me now; clubs need structures in place as a manager cant do everything.

Well you can keep criticism if you want but its their way. I see it different to you that they are still interested in the club and the ongoings. The players were off and nothing massively was missed.

I think you will find Mark Venus will be doing less and less coaching as time goes on Its seems that Mowbray has the backing of owners and very happy to allow Mowbray and Waggott to bring in this structure into the club as you have been told before the owners prefer to meet people face to face as always. We had plenty of coaching staff at Brockhall in the past week

its appears to me that Venus will taking more of director of football role on and working closest with the scouting and recruitment department and negotiating transfers and new contracts. I expect Venus will be taken more of back seat coaching wise and spending less time on there as time goes on. I noticed he doesn't work with defenders pre match like last season as Damien Johnson is doing. Will Venus be spending more time up stairs with the in game analysis people. So basically Mowbray is the manager with 2 coaches under him in Lowe and Johnson plus Benson and Rush in their coaching field.
