No he didn't. He didn't want the directors role. He left because of lack of funds. Walker wouldn't spend big that summer and Dalglish thought we should be building on what we achieved. That's what I heard anyway

Dalglish stepped down after walker told him there would be no major spending that summer. Walker went all cheap especially with appointing Harford. The only summer signing was matty Holmes even though at the time we could have attracted the best in Europe

Remember his goal v Norwich. He just shrugged a defender off and scooped the ball over the keeper. His incredible midair bicycle kick against Southampton or qpr I think as well. Where did he fair against the other world greats at the time? Batistuta, Ronaldo etc

Cole seems quite intelligent. Always thought he was a bit thick. Also seems a nice guy who obviously has fond memories of rovers

We will get nowhere with venkys because they are happy to trundle along just ploughing money into the club with no reward. I'm not a huge jdt fan but he's by far and away the best manager we've had. I have zero faith he would be replaced with someone of similar standing
