  1. Just one thing to say about this match ..... FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION!!!
  2. The S*n wasn't alone on that front, Al. The Mirror even printed the fax number of Shearer's holiday hotel so that ManUre fans could try and persuade him to jump ship. I've never bought a red top since.
  3. Was it cold when that piccy was taken?
  4. Coach 17 for the Hassy lads. And I'll be taking a camera too.
  5. They went down by 6 points and, believe it or not, we beat them twice, so the sense of achievement come May was extremely satisfying!
  6. If you need any reminding of this momentus occasion LS, just take a closer look at the piccy alongside my user id. If you right-click on it, you can save it too!
  7. Hee, hee. I've still got the t-shirt too, GAV!. I wore it to the game you mentioned but was forced to wear it inside-out by the coppers on the gate. I dug it out last week but, unfortunately it doesn't quite fit me any more!
  8. Here's a tune that always brings a smile to my face. It's a song that was released on cassette by an unknown (to me) Rovers fan shortly after the famous Turd Moor flyover. It's only a 2MB mp3 file, so it won't take too long to download - Click me. Enjoy!
  9. I like it when Mark Hughes stands up for the club - Link. He don't take no sh1t from anyone!
  10. An interesting comment was made on Sky today by Martin Tyler, just before the start of the Chelsea v Man City game. He made mention of Moaninho's whinging regarding Rovers watering of the pitch and stated that Chelsea only turned the sprinklers off an hour before kick-off today. Well done Tyler for showing what a hypocrite the whinging git is. (As I type, David James has just made the save of the season in the 4th minute of stoppage time at the end of the game. It's finished 0-0! )
  11. There's been a bit of an over-reaction among the last few posts. Winning or losing against Norwich will decide nothing, it's what we do to the end of the season that counts. In the next few weeks we are confronted with a pretty nightmarish run of league fixtures, but IF we can come out of these without dropping into the bottom 3 or 4, we stand a bloody good chance of staying up this season. On the back of the tough fixtures we have 3 even more important ones: Southampton (H), WBA (A) and Crystal Palace (H). These could well be the ones whose results most affect our fate come May. So, keep the chins up guys. We've been in worse positions and survived in the last few seasons (albeit with better players!).
  12. No. The away tickets need to be against your membership number on Rovers database.
  13. Definitely shades of Brian Kidd here ..... A bit of a revival when the new manager arrives, then back to normal. :-(
  14. Flopsy - If you're using Internet Explorer, try clearing your temporary internet files in Options.
  15. A good start to the day ...... Bolton have beaten Palace 1-0.
  16. Paul, those are the details as I heard them too. How can they justify putting them on sale to ST holders on a Wednesday morning? People who are employed in a job that doesn't allow them access to time off at short notice or even use of a phone are severely handicapped when it comes to obtaining these tickets. Why not start this Friday/Saturday for the first batch then allow a free-for-all on Sunday morning? Granted, they probably have enough tickets to satisfy all who wish to go to the Dingle Dome, but many will still try to ensure they get a ticket by queuing virtually all night long, and then go into work afterwards. These arrangements are stupid if you ask me. [ Didn't want it to read like I think the fans are stupid! ]
  17. I've got an awful feeling that this tie could go to a replay. For the sake of our good name and really, for all concerned, I hope we finish them off at the Dingle Dome. Do we really want the hill trolls visiting for a replay on the evening of 1st March, after a day out on the lash spending their hard-earned income support & child benefit? [shudder]
  18. Have you got a source ? I got the news from a Dingle mate. It's been sent out as a text message to Dingles who sign up for the latest club news, just like we can do on the official Rovers web site.
  19. The Dingle match is to be shown by the BBC on Sunday 20th Feb with a 1:40pm kick-off time.
  20. What's that famous saying for actors, "Break a leg"? Well you're most certainly an actor, you despicable git Ferguson. Let's hope it comes true, eh?
  21. Fee is being reported as "initially £4.5M rising to £5M depending on appearances".
