  1. Wrexham take maximum points from us and Rovers reserves away. More than just money. Very shrewd buying. Bringing in players before they need them.
  2. Probably not until we have scored a goal. Thats the way it goes.
  3. There used to be a time when teams like Rochdale would alert us to their best or we would have scouts checking them out. Wolves have got an amazing talent in Mane. A teenager who has played three games for them and playing like he is a seasoned pro. if we are going to blood our kids, we need to encourage them to try different things rather than stifle them with fear and safety first. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/videos/clyn2kpnvj8o
  4. In other news Dolan almost struck early for Espanyol against Barcelona in the local derby. I bet he misses Rovers v Preston 🤔 Sad to see Harvey Elliott kicking his heels with Villa because of a dodgy loan deal. We could so do with him now. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/cr4kx9l7zd5o
  5. It's another setback in terms of the result. I can't complain about the boys, they tried to go again, it was just a lack of energy today. "We lost the game in the first half. We conceded the first goal, we can avoid it. The second goal is a great shot. "We tried to find some energy for the second half and it was much better. We lost two players again today, and it's clear we've touched the limit with the squad” Bland platitudes. I wouldn't run through a paper mache door for that dour bore.
  6. Toth has to be a cast iron cert for a return after Pears let that one in on his near side.
  7. Definitely the colour of surrender. Bland, uninspiring and irrelevant. Good choice.
  8. They target long balls well, they close well and they finish well. Apart from that, not much going for them. 😉
  9. I heard a good podcast interview between Jurgen Klopp and Steven Bartlett. Jurgen explained the importance of motivating players individually and if they are not cutting it in training there is usually a reason that needs to managed individually. There are rules for everyone and then individual motivation depending on personal situations I may be wrong but I don’t get the feeling that Ishmael is a touchy feely type of motivator. More of a my way or the highway. Aka route nationale
  10. This has the potential for more banana skins than the chimp enclosure at Whipsnade zoo. Passionately large home crowd, and kids keen to prove themselves. 🤔
  11. Whaat. I was watching Paramount. No highlights either. Were you watching it Doc?
  12. Blimey Wrexham look tasty. Kieffer looks unplayable.
  13. Football does your head in. Game not live in the States so I was glued to BBC teletext aka latest scores. I was convinced Boro would snatch the lead in injury time first half. They didn’t Then my neighbour came in with Christmas cookies and I missed 20 minutes. I was convinced it would be 2-0 Boro mid second half. It wasn’t Then I refreshed the screen each minute of injury time convinced that Boro would nick a winner in the last minute. They didn’t. 4 points out of 6 against top teams with no goals against us. Maybe I should relax and trust our youngbloods.
  14. Hey Chat GPT make a photo of the Blackburn manager with strings attached, operated by a puppet master looking at a chart showing the cost of appearances, and who can be potted in the January sales.
  15. Looks like Pickering is going to be potted in January. Doesn’t fit the system. Strange for a versatile left side or Centre back. Perhaps high earner syndrome, or contract rundownitis? Surely not. Probably be in the shop window Boxing Day. Funny how these reliable players become a liability under a different regime. Just call me sentimental.
  16. “I’ll take the positives from this game “ Home win Home win against 4th placed team Blooded three youngsters after discovering we have a stellar academy Stalwarts Tromdstad, and Cantwell back pulling the strings No goals let in Baradji beginning to “open his legs and show his class.” Three valuable and seemingly unlikely points at the start. That will do.
  17. Actually I would be happy with just Ba’ath at this stage. His arse is getting splinters on the Derby bench. He would have made a huge difference in our defence. He is probably not happy running his career down like this with Sanderson keeping him out.
  18. Singling out a player, especially one playing out of position when you have other options is piss poor management. No surprises there. A few more losses and they should be looking to pot him. That will be more expensive than fixing the pitch.
  19. You might want to check the Leicester goal today. Boom
  20. I’m drained reading this. Oh Well. 😉
  21. The manager insisting to the owners that investment in the pitch is essential. We know how that goes.
  22. Ba’ath warming the bench at Derby 1-3 down. Bad move for him and us.
  23. Lovely pass from Montgomery. Dare I say he has a similar confidence to Adam Wharton.
