  1. Good summary. Maybe it is is the freshly pressed dark roasted Aeropress coffee early in the morning, but there was a lot to be positive about with that performance. Left side looks very good and will skin a few Championship defences. Dennis will be a handful when he is fit. Gueye continues to be a nuisance The obvious weaknesses didn't disappear and we all know them. The only way a goalkeeper improves is regular games. You can miss a few tackles and get away with staying out of the spotlight. ( take a bow Mr Cantwell) but there is no hiding place for a goalkeeper. Hopefully there is a goalkeeper in there somewhere but we will never know from cameo appearances. Remember that goalie who Mowbray shipped out because he and othere on this forum didn't rate him Hey ho, off to chip the ice off the path in 18F weather
  2. Strong as your weakest link. Shame. The left side is very promising. If JRC rolls the ball in the middle thats a goal.
  3. Fantastic job. Please know that our ability to piss and moan on a frictionless and seamless platform is a testament to your dedication. @StubbsUK
  4. I agree. If/when we get to the Premier League then we would need replacements for most of the out of contract players anyway. The court case will also have a bearing. Chances are all three promoted clubs will come back down again this year It is a brutal step up which requires a vigorous spin of the dice and a hastily arranged squad to hang on for dear life in the first season promoted. So perhaps Prem or bust is a strategy of sorts. If we dont make Eustace will probably be off and a new manager will want to rebuild anyway. And if rhe court case goes south, all bets are off.
  5. Hope a few of these signings can Turner few heads, and brush off the tackles.
  6. Gueye was a gamble, Yuki was a gamble. In JE we trust to get the best out of these players. Travis was written off, Brittain and Batth are playing out of of their skin. The only JE magic dust that hasnt worked so far is Siggy.
  7. Woo Hoo!! "Nathan Jones, you've been gone too long."
  8. Amazing how much Ipswich have relied on Walton. They have signed the West Brom goalie, as big money Muric drops more than Pears.
  9. Apparently the Hibs bloke we are looking at has an injured toe. Hate to be defeetist 😉 https://www.edinburghnews.scotsman.com/sport/football/hibs/honest-and-up-front-hibs-boss-delicate-youan-situation-blackburn-circle-star-4970184
  10. Maybe Barth could drop O'Brien a line and tell him that he is playing his best football ever in a playoff team and don't worry about all the previous bollocks. Barth and Hyam are immense and consistent. It also mean the full backs can push up. I also like the idea of booting the ball up to Big Mak. He did so well today. Beats the hell out of playing out from the back and losing the ball in our penalty area.
  11. I fear an "off the wall "signing late in the day but someones "got to be there" to work the fax machine.
  12. And Balajai holding the reins as they do a lap of honor. 🏇
  13. "It's important we stick together and keep playing like that and when we get a few more players back from injury and hopefully we can bring two or three good quality players into the group as well things will change." That would be nice if not a miracle
  14. Oxford deserved it. We offered nothing. Couldnt pass accurately, and nothing up front. Miserable game and miserable result. Typical championship banana skin. Respect to the Rovers fans who made the journey. God we will miss Trondstad if he is crocked.
  15. Drizzle cake on the menu at the Hawthorns. Interesting move.
  16. Watch him play a blinder in the cup v Citeh. Cue fans to say we were mad to send him out on loan.
  17. It's a whopper to think we can still keep piling on the goodies. I am relishing it at the moment. Big Mak makes a difference when he is served up. Even if he was on the other side of the counter when he served up his special. Mr Eustace you doing wonders with the economy menu. I 'm loving it.
  18. Great result. Well drilled. Good squad effort. Well done Eustace. You are doing a terrific job with minimal resources.
  19. Leonard almost made it two. At least he is creating chances
  20. So the owners concept of not signing older players seems to have been ditched in favour of needs must.
