  1. Loss, I think. I never feel confident against Charlton for some reason.
  2. Sure you have. The inverted commas were because you can't have an opinion on something you haven't listened to, which I still think you haven't.
  3. Damn right. Trollhammaren!
  4. Educated guess.
  5. Indeed they do and in your opinion and in my opinion they are crap. I think that Linkin Park are good and even though I'm not a huge Jay-Z fan, I think that this is great collaboration. On a different point, have you heard Ian Brown's album 'The Music Of The Spheres'? Top class. As for Radagast's comments, Manowar and Dream Evil are as big a joke to me as Linkin Park and Jay-Z are to you. But then, of course, you've never listened to either of them so your 'opinion' is completely invalid.
  6. Isn't it me that's meant to rant away about the evils of rap and nu-"metal" like this? Jay-Z and Linkin Park, what a joke.
  7. Who is this Mgp fellow? Sounds like an African name to me.
  8. Trademark paranoia, Janice. I'll make sure to avoid asking questions in the future.
  9. What do you mean? I've seen Muse live. I also think they're a half-decent band.
  10. Thanks for that dan. Most fun I've had all day.
  11. Which will make it all the sweeter when we sign him on our terms.
  12. Come off it, Smithy. Criticising him for driving flash cars and appearing in magazines? Talking about 'padding out' an argument.
  13. I agree. I also think Cole was vindicated in ignoring Sheringham (they still worked well together on the pitch) if the reason for their falling out is what everyone usually says it was...but I really don't want to open that can of worms. I was one of the ones who wanted us to sign Dickov as long as he wasn't a replacement for Cole, but I've switfly gotten over it. Dickov has served Rovers better this season than Cole has Fulham, and for probably a third of the wages.
  14. The crystal ball I got for Christmas says...draw. Won't predict the score though, useless bloody thing.
  15. It's a bit crass to say Carsley and Bent went on to better things - Carsely went up a divison with Coventry, got relegated, signed for Everton, spent a couple of years in and out of the team, finished below us two years in a row and is currently a regular. And Bent? It's taken him 3 clubs to get above us in league standings.
  16. Come on, Al...Savage's only quality is to ###### off his opponents? What tripe.
  17. I would like to think Savage may have been tracking Dyer at his goal yesterday. Flitty's lunge that gave Robert the chance to score also show we need a better defensive midfielder that would allow Ferguson the chance to express himself better.
  18. Who would you have, Al?
  19. My quick summary: Dyer goal: Nissa, best master the basics before you start trying all that fancy 'offside trap' stuff. Never offside. Dickov goal: Newcastle's defence is as big an oxymoron as Microsoft Works. Quick thinking from Ferguson and a tidy finish from the Wee Dick. Robert goal: Still deciding who to blame. Friedel looked flat footed, but then he would stand at the other side of the goal because you'd think the wall would have the near post covered. Maybe I'm not being generous enough to Robert. By the way, what in the name of Dio was Flitty thinking with that tackle? Robbie Savage, please. Todd goal: Again, quick thinking from a set piece, and a good effort from Fergie. Andy did his very best to make amends with Souness by ballooning it over the bar, but unfortunately he sclaffed it in. I guess they'll have to mend fences later. Did I mention Newcastle can't defend? Other musings: Fergie - even Paul will grudgingly admit he had a decent game. Dickov - criticise away, he's going to score as many goals as Andy Cole this season. The defence - looking reasonably solid but I'll still be happy when we get a new face or two in. Either one of Nissa and Todd with a better defender will do fine to keep us up. The two of them together still isn't as secure as I'd like. Matteo is doing no wrong at left back (apart from that one piece of suicidal 'defending' in the second half that Nissa did his very best to outdo a secondd later). Stead played reasonably well I thought, but I get the feeling that even if he scores it won't set him on a run. Most of his best work seems to be outside the box just now.
  20. How often have we been saying that in recent weeks?
  21. Is that Premiership extended highlights carry on going to be on tonight?
  22. Good lord, Savage is a good footballer! Why does everyone assume that being both a grafter and a grade-A prick make him a poor player?
  23. Sure, of course. It's all an elaborate satire.
  24. *Cough*
