[Archived] Norwich 1 -1 Rovers
Radagast replied to Anti Euro Smiths Fan's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Subs: Enckelman, Flitcroft, Stead, Thompson, Douglas Good to see Thompson back. Btw, Pedersen is injured That dastard Hughes probably injured him to avoid paying the appearance fee. Or just out of spite because he wants to ruin his career. -
Ouch, don't get him angry USA!

OK, the second line is in Norwegian, I get that, but what in the Hell is that above it?

Norwich haven't won all season? Sounds like our cue. Are any of their strikers looking for their first goal this term? -

What i meant was, you said "its no wonder we are bottom with morons like him [Nissa] playing". And he hasn't been playing, so he's hardly to blame. I still don't rate him him, and the mistake you're talking about was ridiculous and almost costly. -

Well, that's just the thing, dan - he hasn't been playing. I don't think much of him either, but an improved performance did coincide with his inclusion. -

[Archived] Poor Old Souness, players bite back

And yet he's still the only thing you've posted about since his departure. -
Like he said, the two of them are "bekjent". Explains everything.

Ah, sweet irony.

Oh, give it a rest.

MGP's last performance was an international, he was brilliant. All over the pitch, set up goals, and got one himself. Along with the reports that he is doing very well in traing - do you see a picture? Erm, no. Why on earth would Rover put an appearance clause in a contract that kicked in after a few games? Why would the club even sanction a signing that we couldn't afford in even the short term? It's just more looking for something when it isn't there. rover6, you actually want Hughes to come out and say the exact reason he isn't picking an individual player? What about Jansen? Gresko? Gallagher? Hell, what about Douglas? Enckleman?

Baros's foot was as high as Tugay's. Decent result, should have been better - unfortunate blot on McEveley's copybook after an otherwise assured display. Defence still looks shaky, however, I'll never feel 100% confident with Johansson in the team. Still, a much improved performance with an excellent display from Brett Emerton on the left wing (although I'm sure MGP should have been brought on for a run out to build his confidence of course.... ). The sheer power of his running will scare the life out of any full back when he's in full flight. I pray for consistency. Bothroyd had a very good first half, with or without the goal, showing some deceptively nice close control, certainly provides another option. And Lucas Neill has to go. That's it for me, I'm off to get "pashed oot ma trumpet" as we say. EDIT> Forgot about Cisse, poor fella. He has the Radagast famiy's best wishes. -
Sitting on the fence my arse (Freudian slip or something?), neither Pedersen or Reid have done anything to impress me as a Ropvers player. I'm willing to let Mark Hughes, with the benefit of 20 years experience in the game and the benefit of seeing both of them in traing every week pick between the two without complaining. As usual, you've glossed over any criticism made of your views by throwing across some pointless "the manager isn't above criticism you sheep blah blah " comments. "Blanking" indeed.
-
You obviously can give no reason for Hughes' blanking Pedersen, so you come out with rubbish. The current situation is totally baffling. Although in recent games the left winger who started the game, Jansen and Emerton, have not had good games, Hughes has still refused to bring on MGP. Now if MGP was horrifically bad in training, he wouldn't be on the bench. Which is why I come back to my original question. I suppose only Hughes can answer it - that's if there is a rational answer. Pots and kettles you little tosser, you've talked nothing but rubbish since you signed up for this site. If Pedersen was being 'blanked' he wouldn't be on the bench in the first place. So he hasn't come on as a sub in the last few games. So what? What the hell difference could he have possibly made today? If Emerton and Reid are doing better than Pedersen in training and Hughes thinks they can play in the same team as each other (whether or not they can is a different question) then why the hell should he pick Morten? cuidado has not made a sinlge post not regarding MGP since he joined the site. He is not a Blackburn fan, he is a Pedersen fan. If I hear a non-Rovers fan insulting my team's manager (calling him a "disgrace" in fact) because he hasn't been picking his favourite player then I'm going to retaliate. The other Norwegain members drawn here by MGP, and the Ozzies and Americans drawn here by players from their national team contribute to other discussions, they learn about the club - they become fans. cuidado has done none of this. Your constant whinings about why the manager (Souness or Hughes) isn't picking the exact team you want (and your subsequent 'explanations' as to why you apparently know much more about tactics) are both irritating and very, very immature. [end rant]

New Cradle of Filth album's surprisingly good. Seems they've decided they're happy to just sit down and make good heavy music instead of just focusing on making a bloody racket. Which is odd when you consider that they've signed to Roadrunner.

cuidado, you're an idiot. Please go away.
-
Get a dictionary and look up 'fact'.
-
You're right, we should put out 11 players in the squad every week, subsitutes really are a stupid idea. In fact, I'll get onto the contracters to have the bench removed from the dugout.

There's nowt wrong with music being a bit pretentious*. One of the best albums I heard last year was The Phantom Agony by Epica - 8 excessivley long songs blending black metal with two string quartets and a soprano vocalist. Prety self-serving, in ohter words. Pretentious fans, on the other hand....I'm looking at the Libertines worshippers here. *[To an extent. Joey DeMaio's endless bass solos are worthless even to Manowar fans.]

Got to be honest, at the gig back in August the stuff from the new album (Master Of The Moon) was the least impressive - like most of his nineties stuff, all mid-tempo with no real fast or slow bits. The Angry Machines album is particularly guilty of that. Awesome gig though, I hope I can still think straight when I'm Ronnie's age, never mind sing like he does. Good 80s metal comebacks that spring to mind - Iron Maiden (more or less 80 comeback albums), Exodus, Angel Dust ...and some bad ones - Judas Priest (Jugulator, a sad, sad attempt to jump on the thrash metal movement 10 years too late) and Metallica (St. Anger, of which we will never speak again)
