  1. What exactly is it about this attitude of his you have a problem with? By the way I have no problem with you stating your opinion, it just happens that my opinion is that, well, you're something of a tit. (He's got you on point 2 though, Mr Fleming )
  2. The mind boggles. By your 'logic' Henry should not be at Arsenal.
  3. Is it the hair? Or the red eyes? Moving on, does anyone know a website where I can find album covers and (more importantly) back inlays?
  4. I've got one word for you: Matt Jansen is two words. Well done, Matty, well done.
  5. Two albums I've recently, er, legally procured, are Sonic Firestorm by DragonForce and Burzum's self titled album - the first being blindingly fast power metal (I can't way to see these guys live) and the latter nasty, ugly Norwegian black metal from old Varg Vikernes himself. BRFC4EVA, I think Rovermatt wasn't trying to be patronizing so much as saying (with the risk of me sounding horribly pretentious here) that maybe you should try seeking out music that isn't handed to you on a plate before saying who the best bands and artists around are. (It's no use, I feel really, really full of ###### saying that )
  6. I picked the second option because I didn't have a clear first choice. I'm ready to back Sparky and hopefuuly the excellent way the club has conducted this whole affair will pay off. Note: Both waggy and KSB are on record as being happy with this appointment. Just remember that. I'll be interested to hear Jim & Jan's views.
  7. Heaven and Hell - what an album. Ronnie James Dio is one of my all-time top singers....what a voice. Chesh, any metal you see my mentioning on here will be a lot closer to Maiden (my favourite band) than any of that Slipknot/36 Crazyfists/Drowning Pool pseudo-metal trash.
  8. Who cares how popular a band are? What effect does it have on the quality of their music? (Although Muse are easily the better musicians, of that I have no doubt)
  9. Seems pretty inevitable now, and I'm ready to welcome him. Trying to figure out my personal choice as the best candiate has been making my head hurt, but Hughes was one of the ones skittering about the upper echelons of my 'list'. John Hartson please.
  10. Not really, but it sums up my feelings on the matter as well as yours. I think I'd have managed to make it more confusing if I'd tried to type it though.
  11. Obviously, being no-name makes you guff doesn't it? Actually the band is/was compsed of 5 (now 4) of the most respected names in European metal. Maybe you could try listening to a band before slating them? (Crazy notion, I know)
  12. and BRFC4EVA = Silly boy Not that anyone else cares, but I feel like getting it off my chest; I've just found out that one of my favourites guitarists, Gus G, has quit Dream Evil (one of his 4 bands) less than a month before their gig in Glasgow. £15 to see the support band....they'd better be as good without him.
  13. What are you basing that on? For what its' worth I think Jewel is an excellent manager - not saying I'm dying for him to take over at BRFC or anything, but your comment is most unfair.
  14. No, that's the one you're not allowed.....I think...... Ah yes, football. It's very hard to muster any optimism for this one. Pompey are playing rather well and Rovers, well, aren't. I was generally pleased with the team Tony put out on Saturday (Everyone in their natural position? Are you sure?) but we need a 'proper' manager in to lift the players and hopefully dig us out of the rut with the whole new-gaffer-breeding-confidence-resulting-in-impressive-early-results thing. I don't normally predict results because I feel it's a waste of time, but my prediction(s): Tony in charge - Pompey win. New Manager - Rovers win.
  15. I don't think I was wrong about Souness. I thought he was a good manager, I still think he's a good manager. The fact that I think the time was perhaps right for him to go doesn't alter that. I actually do take all of your posts in a light-hearted manner because, in the 3 years I've been posting here there hasn't been a reasonable thing written in any of them.
  16. KSB, you really are in Desperation Country now, eh? I mean, what on earth can you bitch and moan about now that Souness is gone? Starting threads slating the man after you got your wish is pretty pathetic. I guess optimism would have been too much to ask.
  17. *Checks for a big key in Cocker's back*
  18. Live ??? More like bloody Mime.. Linkin Park couldnt play live if they tried. (And i've had the misfortune to see them as Metallca support). P.S Shillito - For once I agree with you. Oasis are now @#/?, but not as bad as LP. They were live enough when I saw them at Download this year, very good they were as well. Hmmm, but the live album is so processed and polished that the result is essentially a compilation of the two studio albums with talking in between the songs, which sort of defeats the purpose.
  19. ....let's not. To make this post at least slightly relevant, the album I'm spinning the most just now is Sonata Arctica's debut Ecliptica. Very melodic.
  20. I assume it means the fact that he lost his no. 7 shirt to Emerton.
  21. Is something wrong with the one he's already got?
