Smaller squad than last year's too small squad. Manager asking for players...and our main transfer link is our captain being sold. What's the project again? To cap it off we may be considering paying a substantial fee for a player we had on our books for 4 years but were to stingy to offer a decent contract for the sake of a few hundred quid. Peterborough. He looked a threat in that game running withc the ball from deep. I don't think he's really progressed since then. A bit like Rothwell. Unplayable on his day but not very consistent. Can't see him being the answer to our wing issues.

Stanfield £6mil. Bollocks. No way we sign someone for that fee from a prem league club. Wages alone would be a non-starter. Loan - maybe🤷🏻‍♂️

The way Eustace likes to sit back and counter will only work when there is enough pace out wide/top to get us up the pitch. Dolan/JRC/Hedges/Siggi can't do it.

Dolan can't replace Szmodic. His decision making in the final third is dire.

The main sticking point is that he was available in Jan. He shouldn't have been. If we held on till summer, we'd have got more. That we didn't, is simply down to Venkys refusal to fund the club.

His hold up play and ability to lead a line is something we haven't had since Danny Graham. If he can get 7-10 goals over the season, he will have proven a great bit of business. The bulk of the goals will need to come from another source.

As bad as our set piece defending is, our corners are far more inventive/effective than they've been in years.
