  1. Shall we just all agree: that Kipre is a bit shit - Why would we want to take a relegated CB anyway... Pie eating bstard etc etc And save our selves the grief...
  2. All the talk of Kipre but not sure it fits in with Mowbray's comments about wanting experience at the back?
  3. Unless bigger fish are considering him in which case we've had it. Here's hoping though.
  4. Rothwell has all the physical attributes to be a real threat at this level. The fact that he's 25 and isn't tells me he never will be now. I think JRC and Dolan should be ahead of him in terms of team selection. I'm a fan of Chapman and thought he was a great prospect when he first arrived on loan. For whatever reason, he hasn't improved though and is another whom has fallen down the pecking order. To the extent where 12 months ago, I'd have rated both head and shoulders better than Brereton. Post lock down, he seems to have physically developed/added more to his game and for me looks more likely to impact games than Rothwell or Chapman. Sadly, I'd be listening to offers for both those players.
  5. Can JRC not play the right midfield /wing position ahead of Nyambe. Would imagine they could link up very well together
  6. Let's hope it's focused Mowbray's recruitment because Samuel was a waste of space.
  7. I'd say Lenihan is an average championship CB. No more no less. That he looks our best defender is more a criticism of the others. I wouldn't want to risk playing Wharton or Carter with him all season. For me Wharton should be 3rd choice, filling in where necessary. An experienced partner for Lennihan would be a shrewd addition. I'd also hope to see our full backs play as full backs and not be asked to bomb up and down the wing. JRC and the little Dolan lad look like they can beat a man out wide but are also happy to track back.
  8. I agree to an extent Rev. From what we saw tonight and given the players we have to come back we have enough threat going forward. Defence still scares me to death though. Also the tactical connundrum of fitting Dack back into the team
  9. If I was a manager, I'd be looking at all the problems and goals caused by playing out from the back at goal kicks and telling my CB to push up to the half way line and let the keeper leather it out. It seems crazy.
  10. Dolan looks the player that Chapman threatened to be when he arrived on loan
  11. Could have been 4 up if Armstrong takes chances. Nothing new learnt so far really. Our defence looks poor. Neither side are confident playing out from the back. Feeney is still a shocking footballer.
  12. Armstrong should have scored 1-1. He doesn't finish well when he has to think about it.
  13. To be fair if a keeper leaves and the other one is Steele, then Walton is nailed on to be on the bench. Not good enough for me though.
  14. Gallagher looks like some one who could be a centre forward and mix it physically (still think he could be stronger mind). BB I just don't get what his strength is. If it's carrying the ball, I'm not sure how he fits into any team as he certainly can't cross it. Like Kevin Davies had to go away and adapt his game, BB needs to focus on an element of his game that will nail him a position because he's the best at the club at doing it. Not sure he has that in him but Kevin Davies (the bullying defenders version) didn't really materialise till his mid to late 20s. Every chance that if BB does turn out to be a useful player, it will be at another club 4-5 years down the line.
