  1. Well a win's a win. Pretty much confirmed what we already knew though. Johnson can't play the sitting role. Bell. Just no Centrebacks not convincing or keeper. Chapman done here. JRC/Dolan very good. Brereton improving. Armstrong not great centrally. Rothwell loses the ball all the time.
  2. Just about to say Ben looked the best of the forwards.... But he's just done a Brereton.
  3. The lad up front for Donny looks exactly what we need
  4. Fuck me. Just all round poor from front to back. With a special mention for Bell who should be binned off to the under 23s and never play for us again.
  5. Seem a big physical side with a bit of pace. Like league one season. Bullied out of it and look half arsed.
  6. Absoloute shit show from rovers so far this half. Second best all over pitch
  7. The new Smallwood by the sound of it.
  8. Sounds like his agent just stirring interest.
  9. They could afford to sign Bauer on his apparently astronomical wages so maybe we can't compete with North End?
  10. Would appear a decent unit to have as a 'second' free signing. Good age as well.
  11. Too similar to Lenihan by all accounts. Won't complement each other.
  12. Shall we just all agree: that Kipre is a bit shit - Why would we want to take a relegated CB anyway... Pie eating bstard etc etc And save our selves the grief...
  13. All the talk of Kipre but not sure it fits in with Mowbray's comments about wanting experience at the back?
  14. Unless bigger fish are considering him in which case we've had it. Here's hoping though.
  15. Rothwell has all the physical attributes to be a real threat at this level. The fact that he's 25 and isn't tells me he never will be now. I think JRC and Dolan should be ahead of him in terms of team selection. I'm a fan of Chapman and thought he was a great prospect when he first arrived on loan. For whatever reason, he hasn't improved though and is another whom has fallen down the pecking order. To the extent where 12 months ago, I'd have rated both head and shoulders better than Brereton. Post lock down, he seems to have physically developed/added more to his game and for me looks more likely to impact games than Rothwell or Chapman. Sadly, I'd be listening to offers for both those players.
  16. Can JRC not play the right midfield /wing position ahead of Nyambe. Would imagine they could link up very well together
  17. Let's hope it's focused Mowbray's recruitment because Samuel was a waste of space.
  18. I'd say Lenihan is an average championship CB. No more no less. That he looks our best defender is more a criticism of the others. I wouldn't want to risk playing Wharton or Carter with him all season. For me Wharton should be 3rd choice, filling in where necessary. An experienced partner for Lennihan would be a shrewd addition. I'd also hope to see our full backs play as full backs and not be asked to bomb up and down the wing. JRC and the little Dolan lad look like they can beat a man out wide but are also happy to track back.
