  1. Scored again for the reserves tonight :)

    He also sounds quite involved:

Nice from Rochina, flicking the ball over the onrushing marker, then runs whilst keeping the ball up with his knee, but his flick over for Formica finds his fellow forward a yard offside.

  2. Have you seen the worst song in history? It's going viral at the minute, how can it not be a hit with such great lyrics as:

    FUN FUN FUN FUN

    Kickin’ in the front seat

    Sittin’ in the back seat

    Gotta make my mind up

    Which seat can I take?

    and

    Yesterday was Thursday, Thursday

    Today i-is Friday, Friday (Partyin’)

    We-we-we so excited

    We so excited

We gonna have a ball today

  3. The inquest is ongoing. You can read about it here.

Urgh this sounds like such a needless waste of a young life.

I think its fair to say the policing and stewarding could possibly have been better but wrong that the lawyer seems to be trying to put some blame on Stoke for the bin not being fastened down. These aren't nursery children we are talking about here there is such a thing as personal responsibility or does that no longer exist.

  4. Watched Memento for the first time last night, very good film don't know how I missed it until now.

Felt the ending was a little underwhelming though

Also you guys give M Night too much credit, I think for most of his films he thinks of a twiiist and then wraps a bad plot around it. Although as I said Devil was Ok as a saturday night popcorn flick.

I've also been watching the Alien series for the first time over the last couple of weeks, doing a backlog of classics I may have missed

  5. Rather than start a new thread I thought I'd ask here, what does your BluRay collection mostly consist of?

Up until recently I hadn't bothered buying them much but now have every Disney and Pixar animated film released, the quality is second to none. Otherwise I just have a few of my favourite films of different genres.

  6. I found it brilliant. One of the best films I've seen in recent years.

I understand why some people feel uncomfortable with the fact that such a delicate subject matter is handled through comedy, but if you stop asking yourself "is it ok for me to find this funny" then it's fantastic.

That's not to say it's "Carry On Suicide Bombing", it's a very dark, it'll tug on your heart strings, it may even make you think about situations you've never stopped to consider before and it does feel odd that you can be holding back tears of sadness in one scene, then holding back tears of laughter he next.

I think that hits the nail bang on the head there, the wife although she found some bits funny didn't enjoy it, a lot due to the main character being so normal around his young son etc, which really I suppose is the whole point. I think if they didn't make some of the comedy so absurb it couldn't have worked nearly as well as a package.

I loved the opening scene with him holding a minature replica AK47, brilliant.

  7. I'd like to see him back at rovers in some form, maybe as a defender scout or coaching one of the youth teams, just something to help the guy out!!

If he was though good enough and the best man for the job i'd have no problem otherwise Rovers have done more than enough to help him out.

He's a legend and been through an awful time so I do wish him the best.

  8. Had a couple of nice meals over the weekend, Saturday night had a curry at Sukhis in Darwen, decent curry and bumped into Abbey as well.

Yesterday we went to La Scala on longsight road for lunch, great value at £3.95 any pasta or pizza and it was as good a pasta dish and garlic bread I've had in a long time, will definitely go back.
