  1. Listen mate you know naf all about me because if you did then you would know that I am not 'enjoying wallowing in negativity'. I can just see the current team for what it is, and believe me that gives me no pleasure whatsoever.
  2. I think the phrase is 'wake up and smell the coffee'. Take those blinkers off, we are very very poor!!
  3. Was he playing? I think he is the most overrated footballer ever to wear a Rovers shirt.
  4. After tonight's dismal performance against a very poor Charlton I can't see anything but a defeat against a well organised Villa. Hope I am wrong.
  5. Bad decision by the ref should have been a pen. That apart, and I am sorry if this upsets anybody, we were absolute rubbish tonight. A team totally lacking in quality, ideas, pace etc. etc. Mr Hughes you have my sympathy because you have inherited a very poor squad. If you save us from relegation then you will deserve manager of the year. January can't come quick enough!!
  6. Then how do you know whether he is any good or not?
  7. You forgot about that painful drum, which is more of a hinderance than a help to the atmosphere. Listening to it in the background on MOTD on Saturday night was embarrassing. Get into um! To get to the subject of the original post there are a few candidates for being shown the door. I am sure Mr Hughes has already recognised them as most of them were playing in defence last night. January can't come fast enough.
  8. I think we should put our best possible team out on Wednesday night. I am sure that the manager has his own ideas that he didn't have time to put into place before the Portsmouth game. I would think that the Bournemouth match is a good opportunity to put 'his team' out and get 90 minutes in before next Monday night. It is also a good chance for a win and some much needed confidence. And just as important lets take the competition seriously and get ourselves back to Cardiff!
  9. Possibly the best comments I have read on here all week. There were no guarantees whoever we appointed. Hughes is fresh and thoroughly deserves a crack. I say well done to the board.
  10. Did Moyes have top level experience when he joined Everton?
  11. According to talksport 5 mins ago he will be bringing his backroom staff with him. Anybody got info on his backroom staff? I am not convinced that there is enough experience in his backroom staff, although Bowen was at Birmingham. Regardless of who he brings there is no 100% ideal candidate for the job and he has as much chance as anyone else has of succeeding. He will command instant respect and will have a chance of attracting good players. I just wish we could get him before Saturday to give the place a much needed lift.
  12. If he does come, which is looking very likely now, I think what will be crucial is who he brings in with him. I think he will need somebody experienced to work alongside him. Someone like Walter Smith would be my choice.
  13. Todays quotes and market moves prompted me to suggest that in an earlier post this evening. I would like to see it happen, as long as it isn't a joint manager thing.
  14. With Bryan Robsons odds suddenly shortening there has to be some rumour doing the rounds. My theory is that Hughes is not out of the picture and that he will continue to manage Wales on a part-time basis. He will also take up the managerial role at Ewood and bring Bryan Robson along with him as his assisstant.
  15. I don't think the board have a clue either. Strachan must still be a good bet at around 10/1.
  16. Is it me or are Bryan Robson's odds tumbling on Betfair? 15-1?
  17. Shut up. I don't know if you've noticed, but Newell has the charisma of a paper-clip. Also Hughes will still be our new manager, do you believe everything these people say? If so your just a big fat idiot. na na na na na !!
  18. 'Keep the Faith' writtten across my mail.
  19. I am beginning to wish I had a piece of that 14/1. Do you want him? With a passion!! Sorry mjs I got lost for a minute or two trying to work them bloody odds out on betfair. Its not simple is it? Have you been delivering my post this week?
  20. I am beginning to wish I had a piece of that 14/1. Do you want him?
  21. Dowie is one of the best young managers in the country and if he doesn't get the Rovers job I will be very surprised if he doesn't leave Palace for another Premiership club in the not too distant future. People are slagging him because he is inexperienced and is not a household name (and even for being ugly) but is he any more of a risk than the the likes of Houllier, Advocaat, Hoddle and even Hughes, who seems to be most peoples favourite? Lets face it most of the household names who have been touted for the job are out of work for a reason - they have failed at some other club. I would applaud the club if Dowie was appointed.
  22. Seems Mr Nixon is not that much of a **** after all. Personally I don't mind the man, he has always spoke reasonably well of Rovers whenever I have heard him.
