  1. What do people reckon with these new contracts? I’d guess at payrises for Lenihan and Dack, potentially their agents looking at release fees inserted. Graham holding out for two years, maybe even testing the waters for another club offering similar remuneration as us but for two years. Conway offered a lower wage for a bit part contract due to Whittingham taking the role of well paid midfielder that time has caught up with.
  2. I might be talking rubbish but don’t most contracts have a release amount? I can see the desire to reward his performances but I can see a higher stress on raising a release fee.
  3. I remember Mowbray saying at the end of last season he was almost a little happy Dack picked up an injury towards the end of last season so they could keep an eye on him over summer. I do think he very much has the ability to be a good championship player he just needs to keep his mind on the game, he reminds me a lot of Dunny with the ball at feet and finishing ability but like Dunny seems to be a man who likes a beer, women and hasn’t been blessed with a natural athletic physique.
  4. I’m a little surprised that Cairney has kicked on so much. I was always alarmed at just how one footed he was, he may well have improved on that as I don’t watch much football other than Rovers now but I thought he struggled when pressured due to his one footed play.
  5. £110m debt and rising I heard last night. Very hard to see where they will go from here, the manager hasn’t seemed to give them “the bounce” and they still look like they will be saddled with a few Premier League wages next season (Rodwell £70k p/w as one). Coleman still hasn’t spoke to the owners since his arrival so that never bodes well for club cohesion as we well know. To top it off Jason Steele is their goalkeeper! I just hate football at times like these that those huge earners who have been terrible for them on the pitch will still be creaming in millions of pounds a year still. If the club is lucky to actually offload them they won’t go anywhere until they get paid some cash to marry up their current ridiculous wage to their new one or you have to pay them cash to go away ala Murphy, Etuhu, Best, Orr ... the list goes on grrrr!
  6. I've just seen the goals he conceded last night, I'd laugh if seeing awful goals weekly in our relegation season wasn't still so raw. You can't concede so often from the opponents first attack and win games!
  7. I see Steele has just conceded the four so far tonight for Sunderland!
  8. Our GD of -8 in comparison to Bristol City makes it more like 5 points too just for good measure, absolute nightmare! I know what you mean about some League One teams, a few were non league when we were taken over.
  9. It's all about dumbing down expectations so I thought Adkins could hopefully find some Southampton form and build us up from there and discount his last few roles. Then roll on Venkys Tony frickin Mowbray, I'm mad at myself for being shocked and mad!
  10. I'm staggered that the LT have felt the need to steal some quotes from another media source and run a story on that scum bag. This has me absolutely fuming, why, why, why run this story ?!?!?! Blackburn Rovers fans: being continuously kicked in the nads since 2010!
  11. Agree, a bloody good effort too against them also! The pure size difference between both teams when competing for the ball massively shows.
  12. How many times have we gone behind at home this season, really does feel like more often than not! This season can't end soon enough, not that I think next season will be any better just get abit of respite!
  13. Crazy play from Shittu, though talking about crazy play our plan to launch it onto his forehead for two games in the cup now looks ever sillier when you see what happens when somebody runs at him ... That somebody being a hefty centre half also!
  14. You don't expect an answer do you SR, good old Phil loves dropping comments like this but is never too forth coming in explaining them.
  15. Good God, so all decisions are purely down to Kean now. Only speculation but I'm very confident Kean would have happily put Jensen in the firing line to buy himself abit more time. If Kean is to stay (noooooooooo) then we surely need a vastly experienced No2 or director of football.
  16. The only person who is an unprofessional old boot in this case is the man who now finds himself without a job.
  17. 40k a week for Benni! He left us as a bench warmer. I'd dread to think what they are paying their England 'stars'. No wonder they have financial issues. What a waste of talent!
  18. I think people are being rather blinded by Saturday, Roberts and Benni showed us what they CAN do not what they WILL do week in week out. Benni drove the majority of fans mad when he played regularly last season, always offside, sulking when a pass didn't land at his feet, never chasing the ball down to put defender under pressure, or is it just me that remembers? Yes he scored goals when he first arrived when he looked considerably more interested and in shape.
