  1. But thankfully draws count too so I would say with certainly that we would have survived. He has had no pre season, no transfer window, very little time on the training ground with the players and took us over when we were in the relegation zone. I think he has surpassed expectations to get us to here.
  2. We have won 3 in 13 games with Tony M but also only lost 3 in that time too. Based on a season we would be safe. The quality of the players is dire. For example, Forest had a striker they paid nearly 6 million pounds for yesterday amongst other players they paid millions for. Birmingham were close to play offs this year before the ludicrous sacking of Rowett and have spent decent money over January. Bristol City have a top class striker up front and again have spent 17 million pounds. What do we have? 250k for a left back, loans that no one wants? Let's not be blinded to the fact that Tony M is not the issue here.
  3. 6 points clear with 2 games in hand.
  4. 5 points gap but two games in hand. Context...we would have to lose 4 games in a row and the teams below us to win 2 in a row. possible, but not likely.
  5. Just finished Orange is the new black. Super show.
  6. Look at the last 2 seasons and the number of assists that he gets. He is one of the best in the league.
  7. In Rhodes and Conway we have two of the very best players in the league. If they stay fit we will comfortably finish between 8th and 12th. I agree that it could happen but Bowyer has shown himself to be someone who is capable of leading a team to those positions. Promotion places? Not going to happen with our defensive frailties.
  8. In my opinion there is as much of a chance of us getting promotion as there is relegation. We are destined for mid table. We have enough quality in the team to be 8th-12th this season with Bowyer.
  9. Take my word for it, the first 5/6 episodes are slow but then it picks up. You will be hooked by the end of season 1. I am really enjoying Damages so hope season 2 continues with season 1. Agreed about Rose Byrne lol.
  10. I was bored and have just finished watching the first season of Damages with Glen Close. Very good court room drama and lots of twists. Can I also recommend Justified. Superb American TV show where the lead and villain are complex and fascinating to see change as the show progresses. House of Cards is my favourite show of the last few years, on par with GOT and Suits for me.
  11. The sad passing of someone always puts things into perspective. A valued member of the forum, RIP
  12. Thanks Maji, means a lot coming from someone whose opinion I respect a lot on this MB.

  13. Oops! cracking bit of skill to get into the position though!
  14. Watch the goal at around 2.20, awesome, fantastic ball control, dribbling ability, skill and finish. He is certainly talented.
  15. RIP, sad day.
  16. R.I.P a tragedy, thoughts are with his family.
  17. Ssn reporting he has signed for west ham on a deal til 2012,can't see any other report
  18. Did Kuqi, Dickov and co have pace, skill, awareness and were good in the air? Correct me if I am wrong but were they not on the wrong side of 20 when they joined us? Do you not think that if a player possessed the attributes described at the age of 20, then potentially they could be a top class player? I think it is daft to compare to the players mentioned as potentially Di Santo could be a world class player, if he was scoring goals then he would be a £15+ million player.
  19. Di santo may be a flop but he is only 20 and leading the line is a tough job,he has pace, skill, awareness and is good in the air with the right coaching he will come good. To right him off already is tripe and comparing him to dickov and kuqi is daft.
  20. People have short memories. He cost £300K? He and The Admiral were key in our battle against relegation when he arrived and for that Rovers fans should be grateful, ironically enough The Axe has ALWAYS been a premier league footballer!!
  21. You are of course right, it does not take much for them Muslims to get upset and it is also common knowledge when ONE Muslim voices an opinion he/she speaks on behalf of ALL Muslims, in the same way Mourinho speaks on behalf of all Non Muslims Seriously though loving the article, Mourinho has an opinion voices it (rightly so) and a newspaper creates a sensational headline, Muntari is fasting during Ramadan- that is his right, it is not obligatory for him, so maybe Inter need to speak to him about it, what did the bloke speaking on behalf of Muslims (!) say: "I think Mourinho could do with talking a little less," he said. "A player who practices Islam does not perform less on the pitch." WOW that is SOO controversial!
  22. Absolute legend, he will be truly missed, a gentleman.
  23. Joey Barton has shown that he is not capable of changing. Put aside all the assaults (which can I just add I find sad that some are downplaying someone stubbing a cigar in someones eye and assaulting a teenager), his behaviour on the field is poor. If (as some have already said), the manager of your club (the ones who have been paying your wages and supporting you whilst you were in prison), gives you a dressing down after being sent off, it defies belief that you start ranting off him!! What is going to happen if Sam tells him to play a certain position or gives him a rollocking? A wrong signing on so many different levels- and I will add that I was for the signing of El Hadj, we must judge each individual case.
  24. I have thought a lot about this and I think that Barton should not be at our club, regardless of his obvious talent. Diouf has been a s*** in the past but you cannot compare a spitter with someone who has stubbed someones eye out with a cigar or beaten up 15 year olds, this would not set a good benchmark for the club and I sincerely hope that JW has enough about him to simply say 'no' to Sam's request- if there is one.
