  1. Yes, my sources tell me that Mulgrew criticised Mrs Mowbray's lemon drizzle cake in front of the group on the grass.
  2. That's that, then. Bauer will tell Cunningham not to bother speaking to dithery Tony.
  3. Just to escalate the disappointment & unrest come 17:00 ?
  4. A load of waffle from a guy I definitely wouldn't buy a second hand car from. Chancer.
  5. Tony's finally remembered to put the ad in the paper. All systems go ?
  6. On paper, Mowbray was one of the daftest appointments of the lot, considering he left his previous club at the bottom of League One. If the conspiracy theories regarding transfer policy being dictated by others are true, then he should resign. I'm not convinced about that and think he has been relatively well backed. I agree that another daft appointment is likely. Damned either way, but there is always the slight hope they will get it right one day. I believe there is more chance of Mowbray taking us back down at some point rather than up. I look at Waggott and question what he actually brings to the table, especially when we hear about Venus being involved in transfer deals.
  7. First day matches are a bit late like cup ties, (i.e. no form guide), so you can't read too much into the results. The problem in our case is that the result stemmed from long standing deficiencies, and we have much tougher tests ahead.
  8. The fact that he made the comments about the defence in public, (unwise), and has done so little to back up his words has put him under extreme, self inflicted pressure after only one game. Only has himself to blame.
  9. Clearly at fault for the first in my opinion. Looked uncertain at times.
  10. What about the two fullbacks we desperately need? Whoever comes in now is likely to equate to too little too late. It will no doubt take Mowbray an eternity to let them join the "group on the grass" in any case!
  11. For all our ponderous possession, how many saves did their keeper have to make? They even gave us a chance by scoring a comedy goal for us. The whole performance was a dog's dinner, and even a late leveller wouldn't have masked that.
  12. Only one game, but if we can't beat that standard of opposition then we are in trouble. All so predictable and avoidable. A worryingly unconvincing display from our "at least as good as Raya" keeper, too. I fear this will prove a season too many for Mowbray.
  13. Only a week and a half away, and by no means guaranteed we will get the quality defenders in that we desperately require. Yes, there can be many reasons why it's got so late in the day, but we're now in dangerous, (and potential panic buy / loan), territory. Keeping our powder dry for January ?
  14. Very sad news. Kevin was in the side when I first started attending regularly in my childhood. RIP Kevin.
  15. Yes, then we will really have something to moan about ?
  16. He's an ex - centre half who has had more than enough time to sort the defence by now. Nothing that he's said has suggested that he is being prevented from recruiting defenders. It's more a case of his misguided loyalty to certain players, in my opinion.
  17. Someone once said that Mowbray looks like a confused old lady who asks you for directions to the market. He can't help how he looks, but he certainly sounds like the above.
  18. Is that so? Not that you know me at all, or are interested in bickering with people, (or so you say).
  19. Slightly different than last week's insuation that Raya had instigated the move. His ramblings change from one day to the next. Tomorrow he will have another version of events, when he forgets what he said today.
  20. Mowbray's modus operandi is a muddle. That much is abundantly obvious. He's put the roof on before laying foundations. He has two weeks to bring in a couple of decent "proper men" defenders and a keeper. Start praying.
  21. No point in labouring this, as we're not going to see eye to eye. For the record, buy time for a manager, who is a good talker, from gullible owners.
  22. It's all smoke and mirrors in my opinion. All talk, and constantly moving the goalposts to buy time.
  23. Mowbray "unequivocally" says a lot of things, then backtracks or does exactly the opposite. Wherever he's managed he hasn't got to grips with defending, and shows little sign of sorting ours.
