No way, I’d keep Buckley in the squad for next year. Quality technique on him, and if we are playing the false 9, 4-3-1-2 stuff then you need 6/7 Centre midfielders.
-
Now that’s a red card, Breretons was about 15% of the velocity of that.
-
Not interested in Jordan Jones, not the type of player we are looking for. GK, LB, 2 x CBs, DM, ST no messing about
-
Good luck to him. Trimming up nicely so far.
-
I suppose if we have to sell before we buy, then Armstrong makes sense at 10m +. Can get a striker in on loan, and fill in the GK, LB and CB issues.
-
I want that one
-
Both would be incredible signings for us.
-
Looks like he conceded about one a game last year. That would a fantastic upgrade.
-
Joe Rothwell should absolutely be in the plans. There is a player in there, even a game changing player in there. I don't know what the problem is whether its him, system or TM but I would give him another season to prove his worth. Been a long time since we had a player that can carry a ball like he can, his pace is unreal aswell. Keep faith. Same for Holtby, I would be keeping him around.
-
Agreed but we do need a tough bastard in the middle of the park, to replace the waste of a wage that is B.Johnson.
-
Jackson Irvine would be a quality signing
-
Not many players abused their body for a club like Hendry did for us, top of the pile. Blood sweat and tears. Absolute warrior
-
Sherwood is absolutely on the list, in fact the whole bloody 94/95 squad are.

An attacking line up of: Travis Whiteman Rothwell ———-—Dack————- Gally/BB——-Armstrong Thats pretty good, I would keep faith in Rothwell as he such a tidy player. Would need to add another striker if we can but we have plenty of options for depth in midfield and attack. Buckley and Vale and hopefully Butterworth will be squad players next year. At the back is the big problem. Need 2 GKs, 2 Centre backs and a left back. Total is 7 in, including Whiteman and a striker. 10 out including loans. Not an insurmountable task. Agree Mowbray should be given another go but review after first 15 games of the season.

????Travis to Coventry, that’s a belter to kick off silly season.
-
No issues with bringing in loans as long as they are quality players with some experience. Palmer I think was just a bad fit, but still a good player.
-
Says 1.5m later on in the article. Leeds will be shopping in a different world now.

I’d give Buckley a go before Davenport. He disappointed me a little when he came on Sat, lost the ball a few times straight away.
-
If Rothwell was wide left he was out of position the whole game. Travis Johnson Rothwell ———-Holtby————- Brereton——Armstrong Is what I saw
-
We played 4-3-1-2 yesterday and looked great.
-
Boy came up through the ranks at Right Wing Back, hardly a stretch given his performances at left back in the last few. I think he could play anywhere and be effective.

GK - New/Hilton RB - Nyambe/JRC RCD - New/Carter LCD - Lenihan/New LB - New/Bell RCM -Travis/Buckley CM - New/Evans LCM - Rothwell/Davenport Trequartisa - Dack/Holtby Striker - New/Gallagher Striker- Armstrong/Brereton Utility/Squad - Bennett, Wharton, Williams, Vale, Chapman Ins: GK, 2xCentre Backs, Left Back, Defensive Midfielder, Striker Outs: Graham, Samuel, Smallwood, Leutweiler, Hart, Mulgrew, Johnson, Thompson, Tosin, Walton This how I see it, 10 out, 6 in and use youth players to fill out squad.

Buckley’s first touch and close control are excellent.

Thought Buckley looked great when he came on
