  1. Yeah but in fairness jdt had one of the full backs pushed on playing like they had a free role, they had the worst goalkeeper I'd seen in Whalstedt behind them and players like Markanday and Garrett starting a number of games yet riding the bench in League One and 2 the following season In JDTs first season we took a few hammerings but in the main the defence was solid
  2. If he goes to another club in this country then yes we will get compensation Set by tribunal If the club getting him can't agree a fee with us.
  3. If a championship club is taking him they will be trying to agree a fee with Rovers rather than letting it go to tribunal .He won't be a "free" for a championship club With the amount of appearances made it will easily be over a million if it goes to tribunal more if someone is offering Dolan a decent contract as his salary at his new club will be taken into account If the tribunal are setting his price
  4. Challenging...but not getting in them. And that was with some experience ans we werent just recruiting players with no championship experience and who had just been relegated with their previous clubs. We lose Brittain and even just 1 or Travis and Tronstad we certainly won't be getting anywhere near the playoffs
  5. We will miss Brittains crossing. He will be a big loss Is Drameh any good. Why are Hull looking to get rid after only signing him last summer?
  6. No wonder the rb was so happy, coming in as first choice ffs.Brittain will be a huge loss
  7. Because we are doing everything on the cheap whilst our rivals spend big money on signings If it was easy to make a successful team with cheap signings then every club would be doing it You don't think it is a worry that all our signings so far have been cheap by championship standards, they have all come from clubs that got relegated last season and they have zero championship experience? Nobody has said that you can't pick up good players for low fees
  8. Is this supposed interest from Sunderland not from when they were a championship club? They have already brought in a couple of midfielders for big money are they really going in for this guy at £1.5 million?.Surely if they really wanted him they would have that deal done not coming in at the 11th hour when he has already flown to another club to get a deal done
  9. Of course it is a nominal fee. Or do you think £500k is big bucks as a transfer fee in the championship( it probably only reaches that figure if clauses are met appearances etc) We have probably paid an initial 300 grand for him
  10. If we are going to loan in a young player from the Premier league then I'd like to see us take a chance on Danns from Liverpool. No chance Doak or George will be loaned to the Championship. Doak will get a prem permanent transfer this window and if George goes on loan it will be to a Premier league team or European top division side
  11. We are still looking for a centre back? The articles are saying we won't be signing a batth replacement, so only interested in bringing in 1 centre back not 2
  12. One thing i will say this is the third signing now they have kept under wraps until the deal has been practically done. Don't think any of the 2 signed or this guy have been mentioned anywhere until a day or so before the club announced them
  13. If this guy is back up for Brittain then fair enough but if it a replacement then another downgrade (iv not seen any of this guy but I doubt very much he will be better or as good as Brittain) another small wage signing. Must be loaning Duru out again. A centre back and first 11 attacking reinforcements desperately needed
  14. I seen a few mentions of JRC to Charlton earlier...just from a few supporters on Facebook saying it was being discussed on one of the Charlton fans forums
  15. And Millwall are going again reportedly paying/paid £5 million for Corburn from Boro who they had on loan last season
  16. Championship financial heavy weights Millwall sold their star young player to Palace last season and immediately broke their transfer record and signed other players on permanent deals for cash. Worlds away from what we did when we sold our biggest talent
  17. Do you think all the other championship clubs don't lose money? No matter how big our wages are, no matter how much we spend in the market its a 20 million loss per year. When we had Rhodes on 35k a week and other big earners and spent more than we do now then it costs the owners 20 million to keep the club running. When we have one of the lowest wage budgets in the league and spend minimally on transfer fees and sell players for big money it still costs the owners 20 million to keep the club running. Why is this?
  18. Yeah they have been signed out of the budget that has been set by the owners. Gestede said on both podcasts he did that incoming transfer fees are not added to the budget. So I'm getting it from the club
  19. You get to play in Europe if you are playing for Celtic or Rangers and many of their players end up moving to a stronger league for decent money if they perform well for them. Either of those teams would be a good move for him
  20. But none of the money will go towards a replacements. So the squad will be weaker Why would we as fans want our experienced players sold just so the owners have to send less money over? We will never be sustainable as a championship club, just dreams by Pasha and Gestede. Sell Travis,Tronstad and Brittain and replace them from the low budget set by the owners with cheap foreign players then the only place this club is going is league one As a fan, it would only make sense to want us to cash in on the players with only 12 months left if the incoming fees where going to be used on replacements. Should we flog Hyam aswell because he only has a year left aswell?
  21. But according to Gestede any money brought in through selling players won't be added to the budget. He said the budget is set in the summer and it doesn't increase if we bring in money through sales At a normal run Club then yeah selling the players with only a year left on their deals and using the money received to replace them would be the sensible thing to do .But here the money received just means venkys are asked to send over less money to pay the bills
  22. Sky reporting that West Brom are selling Mikey Johnstone to Flamengo for £5 million
