  1. Luton will want more than a million for Kaminski so it won't be happening. When did we last pay more than Β£1 million on a signing? The window we signed Hyam and Szmodic 3 summers ago
  2. He will have been on better money here than league one clubs would be willing to pay,so he probably would have seen out the extra year even if loaned to a league 1 or 2 club with us subsidising his wage. He was offered a new deal at Spurs and had both Mourinho and ledley king talking him up at the time He would have been on 10k a week here I reckon
  3. As would anyone but its far less likely us being successful by signing loads of cheap foreigners rather than paying the going rate for proven championship players If it was easy to be successful signing players from abroad for under a million then everyone would be doing it
  4. I'm not against signing players from abroad if they are coming into a squad with a core of championship experience. We lose the players that have only a year left plus Batth Weimann and Dolan and replace them with cheap foreign buys then it is extremely worrying.
  5. He is their boss, he will be dictating what markets the scouts are looking at. Stop defending everything the club does. IF we lose Batth,Brittain and Travis and they are replaced by cheap foreign signings with no championship experience coming in then it will be inevitable that we will be down towards the bottom of the table
  6. Gestede will be dictating where the scouts are looking, and the majority of the links are foreign players, we need to be looking at domestic players aswell and I don't just mean loaning kids from prem academy's
  7. Might not be a glamorous name but It's a smart and solid first signing.10 goals and 3 assists in 36 games for a relegated side. Sky saying he had a release clause that kicked in when Plymouth dropped to league one. I wouldn't have said no to having him here at the price they paid for him.Wrexham will have more ambitious targets, their owners won't want to be treading water in the championship and they will have genuine ambitions of getting into the Premier league, unlike ours
  8. Only Β£700 grand according to reports ,we probably didn't even consider him.Gestede too busy scouring Europe for players that will cost under half a million
  9. Wrexham have started their summer spending signing Ryan Hardie from Plymouth for an undisclosed fee
  10. Batth to Derby sounds like it could happen don't believe Travis will end up there though and definitely not Dolan
  11. Dolan won't sign for them. And do they have the money to pay a transfer fee and a wage increase for Travis.Without investment I doubt it
  12. Not really no.Szmodic refused to play in pre season, he took part when the league kicked off again.
  13. Or nobody else wants him. We got Gueye and Ohashi done quickly last summer from first being linked in the media to them putting pen to paper
  14. Mowbray had minimal input and say on the transfers at Sunderland. He said as much in a few interviews he has done since leaving, also pressured to give certain players minutes
  15. Sorba Thomas signed a 3 year deal with Stoke
  16. Jdt was asked about links with the Boro job at the sweden presser and he didn't rule it out. Into 4/1 in some bookies
  17. Wrexham will double or treble his wages. We have left it too late to negotiate new deals. Fully expect the quartet of Tronstad, Brittain, Travis and Hyam to be sold. To be replaced by loans or older players on 1 year contracts. Venkys out
  18. Back when we complained about it we believed part of transfer funds received would be put back into recruitment. Gestede has made it clear that the budget is set and it doesn't go up when we sell a player.Id rather these players stayed for the season and leave on a free if the money received for them just means the owners send less over
  19. Yeah but those clubs don't start moaning about not having any money and say they can't spend in the transfer market We leave it to late to start negotiating new contracts no doubt about it,if Dolan had been offered more money with 2 years left on his deal then he would have signed. Travis, Brittain ,Hyam and Tronstad should have been made contract offers last summer and if we couldn't get deals done then look to sell them with 2 years left and use the money on replacements like normal run clubs do
  20. Gestede already said in those podcasts that a left sided centre back would be targeted. We need a centre back
  21. We ain't well stocked. Hyam and forever injured Carter. Wharton has been out injured for over a year we can't go into the season counting on him.
  22. If we really do have an interest in Drameh then that points towards Brittain leaving
  23. Surely they would only put their son in the position if the plan was to be ambitious and try to take the club forward I don't know them but they are hardly going to put their son as their face on the ground when they know the majority of the fanbase want them out and leave him to face the supporters anger as they continue to sell anyone of worth and replace with freebies, loans and signings with a fee no greater than Β£1 million
  24. We had Derek Shaw before Waggott If it's not Gestede it will just be another Shaw/Waggott. This move to get rid of Waggott is just an attempt to shift the blame onto him and away from Pascha and the owners
  25. Suhail would have wanted Broughton out. Broughton recommended that part of the Wharton fee was used improve the squad. Suhail nor the owners wanted that.
