  1. In fairness Karanka isn't one to hold his tongue had big fall outs at both Forest and Boro.Poor choice if it his him but he isn't a yes man
  2. I'd love to know why Karanka is even in the conversation. Fell out with the board at Boro,Fell out with the board at Forest.Did shite at Birmingham . I really hope Nixon has this wrong
  3. Says Karanka,Ismael and Ljinders in the frame Some of the people we had an interest in ain't keen due to the wage offer
  4. Woeful. Ismael I could just about live with. Karanka would be a shit appointment
  5. We have a year's option on Hyam and Hedges Presume both will be activated
  6. Wicky already had a job offer from the championship, West Brom
  7. Do what Lambert did and insist on a summer break clause if the promises made don't materialise
  8. As chaddy said look at West Brom,Sunderland,Hull,Coventry etc None of them appointed within a few days. Yes the club knew that Eustace was seeking a new job but still think it would have been a bit surprising that he chose to leave when he did. It also has to be taken into consideration that due to our position in the table with not that many games left had probably led to some higher calibre applicants
  9. Ah .Still he won't go there .The ex Oxford manager is the favourite
  10. He had the same chance at west brom. And like you said didn't take that job because 1 of his assistants didn't want to go and the other couldn't get a work permit.
  11. Well the assistants won't be coming here either so presumably he won't take the Rovers job either
  12. He went favourite after a few people put bets on him after a couple of tweets saying he was getting an interview Gerrard went favourite for a short period after Danny Murphy said he would be interested and people placed a few bets The bookies odds mean absolutely nothing until someone is massively odds on
  13. I don't know anything about Boatengs ability as a coach But Robins and Coventry wouldn't have appointed him as a favour, he must have shown some qualities. Coventry started last season poorly aswell, I wouldn't put their early season form down to him being assistant coach
  14. If its a foreign head coach they are hiring perhaps they want someone with some experience of coaching at this level alongside him hence the supposed interest in Boateng as a number 2. I agree the new man should be allowed pick his own staff tho
  15. Surely it won't be as high as 74 with teams having to play each other and no team with maybe the exception of Coventry getting consistent results?
  16. Is Duff one the club have spoken too?Is he actually interested in coming here?
  17. I blamed him for leaving when he didn't? I think he could have stayed until the end of the season. He would have had better job offers and I think he let the players and the fans down. What he said after the wolves game about speaking with the owners, hoping for a new contract...I think that was waffle he had already agreed to go to derby.
  18. I'm not blaming the manager. But I wouldn't have been giving new deals out as early as November on the back of a few months solid form. The January window wasn't opened for 2 months when he was reportedly already asking for the Coventry job. John Eustace did good for the club but the club also gave him the opportunity to get back into work at this level, jobs had come available and he didn't get them.
  19. Well then he wouldn't have signed a new contract if offered then would he? I agree we have clowns running the club but surely if Eustace felt the same then he wouldn't have wanted to tie himself to such Clowns for a longer term than his current contract?Or would he have been OK working for them with an extra few quid in his pocket?
  20. He was throwing his hat into the ring for the Coventry City job in early November. We stayed up last season so job done but I'm sorry I wouldn't have been rushing to give him a new contract In early November , when he had only been doing the job a short while and only really 2/3 months of solid form
  21. I understand the reasoning why he was looking for something new but the timing of it and who he has gone to ,it's just a stupid decision imo. He must have had zero confidence he could get this group of players into the top 6 and a confidence he could keep a very poor looking Derby team up. He should have seen the season out he would have had offers from better placed clubs.Christ like Boro now is probably going to be available. When Derby go down it won't be his fault but the pressure will be on to start next season well or the Derby fans will be on his back
  22. Fans ain't happy with Carrick and haven't been for a whileb.Got booed off at half time and full time at weekend He spent a lot of money on short term signings for a push at top 6 and results have been poor
  23. I wouldn't say I'd be happy if Derby went down but I do want them to for the simple reason if they get investment and we don't get promoted Eustace will be in for our better players, and Derby if investment is secured they will offer wages that we won't be matching
  24. Buckley has gone from playing hardly any minutes to every minute nearly, I'd say rested rather than dropped. He had a good game the other night
