  1. None of them are realistic Even Wellens, that thought will evaporate when they realise they will have to pay compensation O'Neil and Gerrard will be too expensive And Carsley won't leave a number like he has at England to join a dysfunctional club If they ain't throwing money at a short term man...we will end up with either Karanka or Boateng
  2. Nixon is talking shit...he gets some transfer stuff right so in my view so his gossip is worth discussing but his own views are something else either clueless or someone paying him His response to the frightening contract situation "its all about this season" Or "Eustace wanted experienced players and he got experienced players" Or trying to make out we played a blinder with the Dennis by waiting till the last second and offering the highest contribution to his wage His Rovers insider is Waggott now
  3. Or they start decent enough in League One and Eustace gets offered a job in the championship and takes it and they are stuck in League One No chance Travis ,Tronstad or Hyam would waste a year of their career in League One at this point Derby don't have big money. The need investment which they are less likely to get in League One
  4. Doubt they will go to league one and that is where Derby are heading
  5. Probably Wellens,Karanka and Boateng
  6. I'm no fan of Gestede but we can't be blaming him for this .No new contracts being offered won't be his decision This has happened before leading upto Mowbrays last season and Gestede had nothing to do with the club then. A decision has been taken by either the owners or Pasha not to offer out néw deals as they will want to replace the likes of Tronstad ,Hyam Travis (players deserving of pay rises) with players who will come in who will be on less money than those 3 are on now
  7. If he is a very ambitious man then he won't want to work with our owners and board. If he was offered it he would only be willing to come here until the end of the season if a deal was announced which was longer than that then he would almost certainly have a break clause like Lambert Gerrard name as a player will mean he will get offers again(even tho been pretty poor/mediocre since Rangers) With the contract situation and the lack of clarity over future plans, nobody who feels they can get a job at this level is going to sign a 2 or 3 year deal here
  8. The thing I find funny is loads of supporters were not to happy when it was Lowe on the touchline on Tuesday. He was getting all sorts said about him now after 1 win there seems to be quite a few fans saying we should give it to him until the end of the season We shouldn't be giving it to Lowe
  9. Most managers live away from home chaddy they don't all get jobs in their local area Eustace would have taken other jobs if offered . If he had been manager of Burnley he wouldn't have been offering himself up to Derby I don't know Wellens so can't say If he would be good or not, but him being from the North West shouldn't come into it when picking a manager/head coach
  10. Hard to see how Crozier Durberry even makes the bench when the injured players are back The lad has a bit of talent but at this stage in his career he is just too lightweight and the games pass him by when Ohashi is back he won't get a look inn
  11. Let's see if anyone "decent" not crap like Karanka sign a long term deal here We don't go up and the same thing will be happening next season, our head coach will want out The club should be throwing money at a short term appointment till the end of the season. They can't give a new manager clarity on budgets or contracts Nobody decent is signing a 2 or 3 year deal here without knowing what they will be working with next season
  12. But why would anyone decent sign up here long term without knowing what budget they have and what the contract situation is?
  13. If Boateng is given the job as head coach would you be dissapointed In the club? We should be looking to get the best man possible until the end of the season. We should not be looking for a longer term appointment now unless the club can give a definitive answer on the transfer budget for the summer and what the situation is regarding contracts. Yeah I remember Burnley doing that and I remember most the comments towards it were negative There is no reason for us to appoint Boeteng and insist the new manager works with him
  14. Owen will probably be off in the summer as he seems to move clubs every season. What do you know of Wicky to say he would be a good appointment? Work experience guys like Gestede picking our manager. What could go wrong
  15. But it wouldn't be normal for us to appoint Boeteng and then tell the new man he has to be part of his coaching. We will already be expecting the new manager to keep Lowe,Johnson and Benson There isn't a job for Boateng unless the new manager asks for him Karanka would be a shit appointment Shortlist(if it actually is)Looks poor
  16. Carsley won't give up the England under 21s to come here If he fancies a crack at taking over a club he will look for something stable which isn't here
  17. The most ridiculous part of that Nixon article was when he said the club are considering George Boeteng as part of the new coaching team Talk about backwards, surely you choose your man and let him bring in who he wants. He will already have to accept Lowe and Benson
  18. Rob Dorsett is saying that negotiations are ongoing regarding Gardiner and Downing and its unclear if they will be with Rovers tonight Expects an announcement on Eustace later today
  19. Agree to a certain extent, as its evident on other sites that some are leaning towards the clubs version ... But on here I see people who know the owners are the real problem, are willing to take action (protests etc) and know the board are not fit for purpose They just feel let down by John and are gutted another season is going to come to nothing, just more ridicule in losing our head coach to a relegation contender
  20. Reading on here I haven't seen anybody trying to shift the blame onto Eustace and away from the owners and board. Everyone is aware that our ownership is the major issue and they are the ones that need outing from the club. But people are allowed to be disappointed in the conduct of Eustace aswell
  21. No it isn't. He was saying this only days ago when discussions with Derby had taken place. "We are in it together " implies despite the issues he is committed to the job in hand. Guarantee the likes of Travis are absolutely fuming with him
  22. No I just wouldn't say anything on togetherness or family or we are In it together when I had one foot out the door
  23. But again if Eustace believed no future for him here why Is he speaking about togetherness and fans players and coaching team together upto a few days ago I'm not arguing that he didn't have major reason to be unhappy. He has acted like a snake in the way he has gone about it imo. Il wait and see if he is critical and open in what he says on the situation once confirmed at Derby, if he has an nda then I expect him to say that and say he can't speak about some things.I don't want to hear him talking about being closer to family,Derby a huge club etc
