  1. A loss for QPR and a draw at home to Hull for Sheffield United. QPR still have to play us away, Forest, Fulham , Sheffield United twice, Stoke away If we can beat Millwall and beat QPR the week after I don't see them finishing above us.I don't see QPR beating us at Ewood but admittedly our attack and Rothwell need to move up a gear What result are ye guys hoping for on Friday night? Bournemouth v Forest? A Forest win gets us closer to 2nd spot or a Bournemouth win gives a bit more comfort in the top 6?
  2. 54?.We have played Fulham once and lost, played Bournemouth away and won, played QPR away lost, played Huddersfield home and away lost away and drew at home and Boro we have played twice drawing away and winning at home. Just below the top 6 forest we have played twice 1 win each.Sheffield United we have played once and we won. Prior to the Swansea game we had the best record in the the league against bottom half teams, after Fulham we play one team in the top 10 in our final ten games. We look a bit stale at the minute but there were some signs last night that we were starting to click a little with the attacking side of our game.
  3. 3rd or 4th. We are struggling at the minute but the last 10 games on paper looks a decent run in. The other teams in the play offs and knocking on the door of the playoffs have to play against eachother. I fancy us to pick up 3 points v Millwall then 3 tough games Sheffield United, QPR and Fulham after that with the exception of Bournemouth we don't play anymore playoff contenders.
  4. Dack has scored again
  5. Buckley isn't suspended for this is he?
  6. Agents and younger players must like to work with Mowbray look how many younger players he has had under him that have gone on to better things. Armstrong he worked with at Coventry before here and he got a big move to the Premier League.Brererton after a few years developing looks like another that will move for big money.Maddison when he was at Coventry. City loaning us Tosin, then Bellis.Last season Harvey Elliot from Klopp. We don't pay the wages that established players are accustomed too and that's what is stopping us getting established players in imo. Take Dembele as an example he will be getting paid on par or above our highest earner we couldn't justify to the rest of the squad putting him amongst our higher earners. I feel Mowbray is weak tactically and he (apart from this season) likes to work with big squads less quality more numbers which I disagree with and is extremely stubborn but I do think generally he has done well overall with transfers and I'd be surprised if working with him isn't a pull for younger players.
  7. Started it last night.Enjoyable.Thanks
  8. Was it worth the watch? Looking for something to watch. Finished Kin an Irish gangland drama very very good
  9. Apparently we made an offer for Forss but Brentford and the player wanted more of a guarantee playing time which we couldnt offer, unless we think the likes of Forrs should have been given those guarantees. It was a difficult window for us to navigate as unless we had mega bucks to bring in a game changer then our options were going to be limited. In for Dembele too but Bournemouth offered him a deal on more than our highest earner how could we justify to the rest of the squad making Dembele amongst our highest earners when he has hardly any track record at Championship level and has 30 career goals to his name.
  10. Bullshit on Nyambe but at least the bench and starting line up stronger than Saturday
  11. It was dry prior to an hour before the Huddersfield game, it rained heavy for half hour pre match and the pitch was in shocking condition
  12. The pitch will be in shit tomorrow night
  13. He went to Leicester, although I think Everton were in fit him too. Was captain of Leicester u-23 but I think he went on loan to Cheltenham
  14. We have Brererton and Khedra on the bench so once we keep things tight ourselves then they can be called upon if need be. In a couple of weeks when a couple are back both our first 11 and bench will be looking quite strong. 3 points be massive tonight, keep some distance between ourselves and the chasing pack.Come on lads
  15. It will be our defence that decides our outcome. When you keep clean sheets as regularly as we do then have a very good chance. With the exception of last weekends game QPR have hardly been freescoring. Before last weekends thumping of Reading QPR had only scored 3 goals in their previous 6 home matches.
  16. Its in our hands too...we have them both to play at Ewood.Obviously we won't but if we were to win every game from now we would go up and nothing QPR and Bournemouth could do about it
  17. They have to win those games.Points in the bag.We are second. Plus we play both at Ewood, which we have made a fortress.
  18. Mowbray on why we didn't bring in a striker https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/19898505.tony-mowbray-explains-blackburn-rovers-didnt-sign-striker/
  19. Ha ha yeah.Il be honest years back when Jones said his worst moment in football was losing to us he lost all my respect. Lets hope the lads who have done so well for us so far can stay fit and if not Ayala will step in and perform.
  20. Presumably a similar stance will be taken as with Rothwell not for sale Hope so anyway
  21. You don't factor in the amount on wages etc for other players brought to the club. Some if not all of the older players brought in would have been on decent money. We have paid good money to people who didn't contribute an awful lot in that time. I am not going to argue he has made some very good signings but he has run high cost squads up to this season.12 players came through the door last summer in wages loan fees etc would have cost. But is getting the best out of the squad of players he has now and deserves great credit for how the season has gone so far
  22. I don't know either.I thought I was replying to Paul Mani. Must have quoted the wrong post.Apologies
