Surely the sensible decision by the ref would have been to delay the kick off time? If the players and managers were happy with it but the ref had doubts he should have given it a bit more time instead of both clubs and their fans having to rearrange their time to make the game whenever the fixture now takes place

Pre pandemic money was spent.Even last season 12 players came through the door that's 12 extra wages to pay or contribute towards. Upon promotion from the league one near 15 million pound was invested in 3 strikers within the space of 12 months added to that you had players coming in on free transfers that were on more money than our highest earners at their previous clubs. Only Raya and Nuttall sold to counter that cost. Point me to another team in the league that has spent decent money with selling star players to fund it?Or have parachute payments. Many on here and other places who have a far better understanding of FFP than myself claim that even with the Arma and training ground sales we are close to FFP. The owners are only permitted to put in so much in the cycle and the accounts show they are putting in what they can. We could have gambled but if we did and missed out on promotion and then had sanctions next season would we blame the owners for that too? Who said the Dembele deal was reliant on a Rothwell sale? Because the timeline does'nt make it look that way. No fee was ever agreed for Rothwell.The owners had made their position clear he wasn't for sale

I can understand your view but offers were made for players confirmed fee agreed for Dembele. Money was available surely it's down to the team at Ewood to get the deals done not the owners. The owners could have cashed in on Nyambe, Lenihen and Rothwell.Could have invited offers for Brererton.Could have sold Phillips for a few quid. I would love them to sell up but I disagree that they didn't show any ambition.The manager had money that was left unspent.

I agree that Dembele would have been a good signing but he wouldn't have been a Brererton replacement and without many millions then his goals would have been impossible to replace It was a hard window for the club to navigate as even loans we couldn't give a guarantee over minutes. We enquired about Connolly before he went to Boro and apparently we had an offer in for Forrs but both Brentford and the player weren't happy with no guarantee of playing time. It was extremely difficult without ££££ to convince a player to come here to be Breretons understudy

I agree that it does nothing for the integrity of the league if a number of teams start the season with points deductions but at the same time these clubs have had an unfair advantage on others the past 3 seasons by overspending. Like I said not a fan of FFP and think a club owner should be allowed spend what they want but the clubs voted these rules in. Surely covid is being taken into account when these calculations are made?

If any of those clubs are over the limit they will be sanctioned otherwise every other the club in the league will start ignoring the rules. If they are using dodgy accounting then surely they were in breach of the rules otherwise no need for any dodgy accounting. Doesn't matter how respected the owners are, other clubs who kept within the rules will be launching legal proceedings against the EFL . It's clear the rules are being taken a lot more serious in the last couple of seasons

If they have overspent then they should be hit with sanctions both points deductions and transfer embargoed wether it makes a mockery of the league or not. Ffp Is a joke and should be abolished but while it is in place then clubs should be punished for breaking the rules.

A loss for QPR and a draw at home to Hull for Sheffield United. QPR still have to play us away, Forest, Fulham , Sheffield United twice, Stoke away If we can beat Millwall and beat QPR the week after I don't see them finishing above us.I don't see QPR beating us at Ewood but admittedly our attack and Rothwell need to move up a gear What result are ye guys hoping for on Friday night? 54?.We have played Fulham once and lost, played Bournemouth away and won, played QPR away lost, played Huddersfield home and away lost away and drew at home and Boro we have played twice drawing away and winning at home. Just below the top 6 forest we have played twice 1 win each.Sheffield United we have played once and we won. Prior to the Swansea game we had the best record in the the league against bottom half teams, after Fulham we play one team in the top 10 in our final ten games. We look a bit stale at the minute but there were some signs last night that we were starting to click a little with the attacking side of our game.

3rd or 4th. We are struggling at the minute but the last 10 games on paper looks a decent run in. The other teams in the play offs and knocking on the door of the playoffs have to play against eachother. I fancy us to pick up 3 points v Millwall then 3 tough games Sheffield United, QPR and Fulham after that with the exception of Bournemouth we don't play anymore playoff contenders.
