  1. Yet the player himself is on record saying he doesn't see his future at wing back? We will see but I 100% believe that Costello's future won't be in that position.
  2. We can't afford to carry a squad that has multiple players of similar quality fighting for each position. Do we already know Hedges won't be any good? What has Forss or Maja done to make you think they are better bets than what we have now?
  3. Ok I'd disagree on Forss he hasnt any goalscoring record in this Division and it was right to avoid Maja after his injury and playing only 45 minutes this season. Gallagher knows the team, and has contributed this season.Would have definitely been happy to see a game changer brought in on a permanent but Im not disappointed we weren't in for the likes of Forss and An unfit Maja. Dembele would have been a quality signing but is not a goalscorer
  4. My point being with those 2 well certainly Forrs they are moving on loan to play regularly. We can't guarantee that. Would you start Forss ahead of Khedra?Because unless an injury to Brererton, that's the only position up for grabs. The style we are playing needs a Buckley or a Dack in the middle.
  5. Brererton played in most those matches. We weren't creating any chances...would a Goalscorer have made much of a difference with the chances created. We haven't been thumping teams. My view is this promotion push is built on the strength of our defence and hopefully with or without Brererton we will have enough to win games if we keep things tight at the back. Armstrong 28 goals 15th.Rhodes and Gestede 40 between them no playoffs.Brereton scoring regularly pre Fulham 12th. Obviously hope Brererton doesn't get injured and we are a better side with him in it but just think with our budget whoever came in yesterday would have been a gamble wether they score goals or not.To Guarantee the goal scoring anything like Brererton would have been millions. Loans like Forss and Maja guarantee nothing
  6. See I would say an injury to Kaminski or Travis would be worse than an injury to Brererton. I get he is our main goalscorer but the same was said when Dack got injured and when Armstrong was sold "who will score our goals now" Invariably people step up.The goals can be shared around. Goalscorers cost decent dough and want big wages.Like Maja and Forss potentially would have been decent but their goal scoring records are nothing to write home about and would probably want guaranteed minutes. Im in agreement if money was available the squad should have been made stronger a back up goalkeeper and someone to step in for Travis could have been found at the very least
  7. Mate this isn't personal to me it's your opinion on this matter I disagree with. It's you like last time starting with the name calling all because I have a different opinion to yours. You replied with your reasoning ,I replied with mine you then decide to take it personal And my point with those 3 players is they were the sort that was available,we might have had some money but not the money to buy guaranteed goals.
  8. Why am I going bonkers?Because I don't agree with you. It was you who started making statements that people were happy with it When I give you a reasoned response like in the Boro game when I sent the graph of the Boro Goalscorers you ignore it and today when I point out Forrs, Maja and Dembele are far from Goalscorers you ignore that too. Don't have any idea why you are saying I'm crazy or why it's wrong to reply to your posts on a message board
  9. Put me on ignore then. I think your a big girls blouse who cries if someone tries to debate a point with you. You are obviously one of those geezers who needs the final word
  10. No I disagreed that we would be f***ked without Brererton. Oh I forgot not allowed to disagree with an opinion of yours. Like last time, you send me a graph of rovers goalscorers I send you one of Boro's and next thing " I'm arguing" and "looking for a row" At least I'm directly replying to your posts not making shit up like you suggesting people are happy we didn't bring a forward in. I understand goalscorers cost money and facts are Gallagher has a better championship scoring record than Forrs, Dembele, Maja(who has played 45 minutes this season)
  11. Yeah I can read. Can you? Because you keep suggesting people are happy we didn't bring another goalscorer in.
  12. I asked you to name a player in that position we could have brought in and you said Swift a midfielder. Forrs for example had 8 goals in 54 apps for Brentford. Maja has no goalscoring record bar league 1 and 2 goals for Fulham. Gallagher has more goals than both. I disagree with you like I did in the Boro game. When we had "not a snowballs chance of getting anything from the game"
  13. Yeah all the signings we made this window where hand picked by the owners ffs
  14. Who has said it's a good idea? If you asked every member on the board if they would have liked a Goalscorer signed in sure 99% would say yes. Just some think we could still win games without Brererton.
  15. NOBODY is saying everything is dandy if Brererton gets injured some including myself believe we can still win matches without him. And again if money was made available and wasn't spent then the blame for that isn't on the owners.
  16. I get what you are saying but Forss moved to Hull for guaranteed playing time (we couldn't offer immediate starts) he has spent enough time on Brentford's. Maja has played 45 minutes of football this season and apart from half a season in league one nothing to suggest he would guarantee goalsm
  17. Would you agree now that TM doesn't see Rankin-Costello as a full back or wing back?
  18. Swift's wages are beyond us.We were never going to bring in a player and make him our highest earner with 3 key players coming to the end of their contracts. You just said we did have money and it was confirmed so how is that the owners not seizing it?If they made money available but it wasn't spent that is hardly their fault.
  19. Because we have loads who can play the wide forward role. Iv agreed a Goalscorer would have been a priority for me but name 1 goalscorer that has transferred that we could have afforded?Money is needed to bring in guaranteed goals. Like people disappointed over Dembele, who looks a good player but he isn't a goalscorer 30 goals in his career so far and a lot of that spent lower than the championship. Still feel we have the squad capable of sustaining a challenge.
  20. Like in January our defence has been rock solid since Fulham. Its over 2 months now. Why can't we expect the defence to keep the goals against at a minimum? In my eyes no team is defending better than us over the last couple of months
  21. You can't say Gallagher wouldn't be on 12 goals you have no idea if he would.5 in 10 starts says he is scoring when starting. Would you have expected Brererton to have 20 now?15? Nobody is saying we would be fine but we can still win matches without him as our defence is strong. Plus we don't play with a central striker... Buckley splits Brererton and the other who operate as wide forwards not Strikers.
  22. I agree another Goalscorer should have been a priority but no saying Gallagher wouldn't be on 12+ goals now if Brererton had been out, or others would have stepped up.Gally does have 5 in his last 10 starts. If we carry on keeping clean sheets they way we have been doing then it will only take the 1 goal to get 3 points. We should be scoring more goals from set pieces with 3 big center halves hopefully Giles can help in that department with his delivery.
  23. So we won't be offering Diego Costa 100k a week?
  24. Agree with parts of that but with Pickering out Giles was definitely needed.
  25. Why won't they just spend a bit of money hiring a top CEO it would save them millions in the long run?
