  1. Its on sky sports football tonight
  2. Its the featured game on sky football tonight so not sure if rovers tv have it?
  3. He did look very good at that time, injuries seem to have stalled his progression
  4. He didnt play for Charlton? Bielik is who you will be talking about, ex Arsenal
  5. Yes but they employ and pay good money to people to run the club on their behalf.Do you think abramovich or any other billionaire owner with a large buisness portfolio is personally looking over chelseas books or is he trusting the people he employs to make sure everything is in order? I would agree that the owners are to blame in the sense they employ incompetent people and leave them in situ but with the money put in i just dont think we can lay all the blame at their door here.Im not saying its been promotion money but the money put in should have us in a lot better position. My opinion is we are a small part of the buisness, we recieve minimal interest from them, they work out a budget with the manager,Ceo and finance people. They are as absent as you can get and from the outside looking in at times throughout their reign people on the ground have taken advantage of that fact. And that isnt me taking blame away from them as i am in 100% agreement they are the overall problem
  6. Many times througout his reign you will find quotes from Mowbray about going to the owners and asking for a bit of help to bring a player in.
  7. They dont care about us enough to be worried too much about that. At the end of the day the accounts show the injection of cash was needed for us to be ffp compliant
  8. I dont trust them either and i want them out without question. But imo owning us is not about making money off the club for them.Look at the amount they put into the club, covering losses after losses( which i know is their own doing but still it only adds to my belief they aint in this to make money out of the club).Nothing drastic has ever been done throughout their reign to drive income into the club. They continue to put money in for transgers(when allowed). They only sell players when practically forced too. At the end of the day i get peoples suspicions but what has actually changed. If they wanted to sell the STC at any point they could do.Setting up this company and putting this money in doesnt make using the STC for housing any easier or any harder
  9. Give a valid reason why they had to do it this way if its about them making some money. 1 valid reason? They own the club and they could sell the STC at anytime. They did not have to set up another company and pay 16.6 million into the club.
  10. The owners could have done what they wanted with the STC regardless of them selling it to their own company
  11. Im not trying to see positives. Everything points towards it being done for FFP yours is just a theory that it is some underhand way of making money backed up with no evidence.Despite the fact in their whole time here there is nothing to suggest here for a quick buck.141 million. They have spent money that is a fact wether you like it or not. That is all im stating not trying to see positives you condacending fool i want them out as much as anyone!
  12. Another thing im told Mowbray doesnt tell lies well in an interview he spoke of how they had to slow the owners down with their plans and there spending added to the fact he acts in complete shock over the wage demands of players everytime a window comes around i dont think its beyond the realms of possibiliy this wage ceiling was recommended to them. We did use to pay Rhodes 35k a week and many others in excess of our current wage ceiling. If we didnt have to have such a big squad and have to make 2 or 3 changes to the team on a weekly basis perhaps we could play with a smaller squad, focused on more qualiy within it
  13. Out of interest would you take losing the training ground to get rid of Venkys if that was the plan? To sell the club and then sell on the training ground? There has been no suggestion whatsoever that they are looking to sell the club unfortunately
  14. He brought 12 players in though Bigdogg so i find it hard to fathom that they wouldnt have let him spend a little bit. It would have been better getting something for them rather than nothing especially with the position we find ourselves in. Its foward planning and considering the amount of times he mentions his plans for the club then as an experienced football man i would expect him to be looking longer term rather than pinning his hopes on the delusions he had of us being a top six squad last season. We did not need to bring 12 players in to finish 15th, half of thrm contributed nothing. I agree nearly every aspect of the club is sub standard and by no means am i laying all the blame at Mowbrays door here. Our owners are the major problem here i am not disputing that but at the sametime i understand they are not football people and they pay the people on the ground to run the club on their behalf. With the money they have provided and the money they pay these people they should be getting more for what they are putting in. For example might be a small thing to you but i live on the street beside the ground ,walk past it everyday and it was utter disgrace the state of it,Rubbish weeds all over the place etc. To the owners be a trivial matter so im expected to believe our 300k a year ceo has to contact the owners for permission and the money to do something about it. The owners agree a budget the club work off that budget so i believe the people on the ground are to blame aswell for the situation we are in including Mowbray The most suspicious thing is why they have never just forked out the money for a top ceo and a decent manager
  15. Bevause you make statement like the manager has been hamstrung by budgets when up until this summer he clearly hasnt! You are right tho no point us going round in circles
  16. Not if we start being sensible and become a trading club. We are likely to see a decent amount for Brererton. They will spend again when allowed imo, some will be spent in the summer but im hoping there will be a proper plan this time but i wont hold my breath on that score
  17. Clearly we did leave it too late.If they werent for signing new deals then they should have been sold to get the maximum value we could, like every other club does. I dont think Lenihen has progressed like i thought he would, i think he is pretty poor as individual. No arguing with the fact we get better results with him in the team but thats aided by the fact the alternatives were so poor. Id need to see some more of Wharton but from what iv seen he looks liks he will be a better defender than Lenihen.
  18. How much did birmingham get for Bellingham?More than we got for Armstrong
  19. What would have stopped them just selling the STC directly to a developer down the line? Why did they have to set up a new company ,inject 16.6 million into the club to use the site for housing?
  20. Yeah but my question is what was stopping them from just keeping the STC as part of the club assetts and then selling it directly to a developer down the line?We couldnt have stopped that?So the worry would still be there
  21. Well finance and ffp experts and the accounts alligned with the ffp regulations suggest the 16.6 milliom was needed as was the Armstrong money? If you have a better understanging off ffp and if you know the accounts to be wrong then fair enough but from everything in the public domain then we couldnt spend a decent amount this summer. Why would they have done this with the training ground if it wasmt for the benefit of the books and even the Armstrong sale was with 2 weeks left of the window and it looked like there was a last ditch attempt to bring someone in Maja. The accounts also show the owners have put in the max allowed over this period so they COUlDNT put in anymore money. The proof will be in the pudding next summer when they are allowed to spend again. If competitive money isnt spent i will come back to you,say i got it wrong snd apologise. They spent money bringing all these players in they didnt have a crystal ball that told them in the future Armstrong would be sold for 10 million profit. And in the past they have spent aswell, stopping when it comes to the end of the cycle.Already had a transfer ban due to failing FFP I agree with a lot of what you post, but when it comes to this i disagree. They have spent money on the squad, no argument a lot of that was wasted and dead money,no argument that they have no interest and the way the club is run is a joke and no argument it is hard to see us progress with them in charge. But they do spend money.
  22. But they will be allowed to put more money in from the summer. Obviously im not saying i know they will do that for a fact but history tells us they do spend some money when allowed
  23. Pay themselves? The 16.6 million came from the venkys
  24. Yeah but its better than a transfer ban and possible points deduction.
  25. Its not just about transfer fees he has been well backed over the 5 years Those clubs had parachute payments, others sold players In 5 years mowbray has sold 2 players of value, Raya and Armstrong and one of those came from academy And the raft of cheap poor players signed snd kept on for the legnth of their contracts or even worse getting contract extensions how many times did sam hart get his deal extended. All these cheap signings added together will have cost You also have the costly Ayala, Holtby , Johnson deals were no transfer fee involved but were on more money prior to coming here stamds to reason signing on fees involved.Players with NO resale value. Il do the math later but Gallagher and brereton were 12 alone Im not saying the backing he recieved should have guaranteed promotion but i dont expect the squad in the state it is in either
