  1. Agreed I'm not saying a certainty everything will click into place. If Hedges can create for others and continue to assist I wouldn't be overly bothered about his scoring record as Dack and Brererton have proved they can be high scorers in this division. Hirst obviously has to prove it at this level and as poor as he has been Szmodic still has a goal for us already and scored 6 or 7 last season for a poor Peterborough side. Last season for example we had Giles Buckley Gallagher or even Brererton Buckley, Gallagher/Khadra This season Brererton and fit and sharp Dack, Hedges, Gallagher, Szmodic , Hirst there are more goals and creativity in this season's group in my opinion. Having a more attacking rb who is good on the ball in Brittain will help aswell The two in midfield will be the crucial players this season positive signs last night but hard to expect them to perform at that level every week with their age and inexperience.Hopefully Buckley can show a little form if called upon I do agree it would have been better to have signed another attacker.Id worry if we got a long term injury to one of Dack or Brererton but whoever we brought in they weren't going to be on those 2 level most likely anyway. Hopefully some budget left over for January and give Williams and whoever the new European scouting guy is an input.
  2. If Dack gets back to anything like he was before along with Brererton not many clubs have two attackers as good as that.Add Hedges if he continues his early season form he looks to have a bit of magic and can unlock a defence. He was a big miss in the 3 defeats. Up to one of the others to claim the other place... hopefully Hirst season at Pompey last season was a marker to kicking on and showing the talent he did as a youngster at senior level. Another goalscorer would have been nice no doubt but we ain't in bad shape and potentially it could be quite exciting. There where signs last night it was clicking, we did put some lovely moves together It will be better when Wharton is back he gets the ball moving forward quicker than Phillips and Ayala
  3. No they did away with that.No loans after 11 tonight
  4. Dembele Is not a goalscorer. Id be happy with Dembele joining but not as a Brererton replacement he doesn't score goals
  5. Turned down a move to Birmingham and signing a new deal with Bordeaux
  6. Looks like what I said was a load of shit Everton back in for Brererton according to sky
  7. There is the first story is a live blog
  8. Sharpe has been doing updates all day. There is a live blog
  9. Id agree another goalscorer would be very nice but if Dack can build up his fitness we know he is a source of goals
  10. Cant believe Styles hasnt been snapped up by someone yet
  11. They were only offering a loan to buy for Pedro. With them not selling Gordon I'm not sure they can make another big buy due to Ffp
  12. Gally won't be fit will he? Id stick with the same back 4 as last night Ayala more than likely won't be fit I'd put Hirst in instead of Dolan from last night's 11
  13. As many as you want but can only have 5 in a match day squad
  14. Dembele would be an excellent addition
  15. The only one I can remember is markanday and even then he had that as a loan deal
  16. Why what transfer story has he broken that wasn't elsewhere beforehand?
  17. Wharton superb. Got to give Mowbray his due Hedges is a classy footballer
  18. Id presume JDT and Broughton would have more than an insight than me on this one. I'm on the record of saying I haven't seen him play enough.I ain't calling it a crap signing off the back of a loan spell a couple of seasons ago and as we have seen with some of our own they have got better as they have gotten older and more experienced. If you have seen enough of him to know he won't be a good signing then fair enough but going off what you have written it's suggestive you haven't seen much of the player yourself
  19. On his performances for us I presume We are under no obligation to buy him .He performs poorly we don't buy At most clubs the money earmarked to pay the fee for him can go on another player here it's anyone's guess if that will happen but hopefully with them going in a different direction with Broughton and JDT it will lead to continuous funding on the squad.
  20. In your opinion mate. And one thing can be proven as fact before last season Rothwell rarely assisted and hardly ever scored.Check his stats. Brittain season before last was in a team that finished in the playoffs and is starting for us when fit.Nyambe is currently on the bench for Wigan. The Coventry fans absolutely gutted at losing Hyam and statistically one of the better centre halves in the league.Whilst Boro fans are going crazy over the signing of that "donkey " Lenihen.Again you can check it all out yourself. I think Nyambe and Lenihen are both decent and would have preferred them to stay at the club but Brittain is a better player than Ryan Nyambe and Lenihen is a decent enough championship centre half but certainly not top quality or irreplaceable.
  21. Van Hecke wasn't our player. Hyam looks to be every bit as good if not better than Lenihen. Brittain is better than Nyambe in my opinion and I was a fan of Nyambe. Rothwell il give you but apart from last season he hardly assisted and never scored.Overrated
  22. How do you know he won't be worth £5 million at the end of the season though? Nobody here(well not that I'm aware) thinks Hirst is worth £5 million now? Anyway the fee might not even be £5 million that is just a speculative figure
