Styles can play all over he isn't predominantly a centre mid. Although iv only seen Morton a cpl of times himself and Styles are chalk n cheese.Totally different type of player

Styles could be seen as LWB. I hope it isn't true about Morton looks a good prospect but we have our own academy lads to give minutes too and no doubt Liverpool will want Morton playing and if playing with a midfield 2 then it will be Buckley and Travis starting

32 starts out of 46 last season and 28 starts the year before Good player no question but a player on the decline and would be looking for good money these type of signings Graham and a couple of other aside generally don't work out for us and we get burnt paying too much of a wage. It isn't a strawman argument we are a championship side who have to work under Ffp constraints without the external income of some of our competitors. If a £750k player is better than a £1.5 million player then surely you just buy the £750k player.A league one player with no experience above that Level will 9 times out of 10 be less expensive than one who has the experience. It isn't rocket science the further you stretch you budget then logically the quality of the individual will go down.Our focus should be on quality not numbers if we are only going with 2 in midfield then why do you need 4 of similar quality, experience and wage?Surely it is better to have 3 of better quality and then a young player who the club feel can do the buisness getting the opportunity if one comes along through injury or suspension or as a sub. We have done what you want us to do for years in the championship carry to many passengers on decent money.Why pay decent money for a 4th choice midfielder who will only get minutes when the other are unavailable when Garrett can do that job for £1500 a week?

Yeah but we have a budget I'd rather 1 decent addition like a styles instead of 2 mediocre/poor signings. It's not an insult ,it's a fact the management see them daily and may feel 1 or 2 of them can play a part and don't need to bring in the numbers you or I feel we need as they have more insight and expertise than we do. We wouldn't be the only club in the country not buying a senior player for a certain position as the club feels a player is ready to step up and play senior football.

Or the management who see them every day feel Garrett or Wharton can play a part. Sharpe is guessing what we are looking for there anyway.

I'd presume the fact Brittain has spent the last two seasons in the Championship one extremely good season the other poor whilst the other 2 had never done it at this level

Deadline day should be before the season starts. Looking likely he will start the season with us but still think some team will panic and match the asking price, especially if he starts the season in goalscoring form. As deadline draws closer there will be someone in the Prem desperate for a forward and to a lot of those teams 15/20 million is nothing. I won't hold my breath but a club that is well run would have already agreed on a percentage of any sale that could be used for a replacement and clubs sounded out showing interest and discussing possible fee etc.Hopefully now Broughton here the club has a plan and the owners will let that plan be put into action Think it will have to be at least £15 million before Venkys will do a deal.If we are only recieving offers 10...11..12.. mill I don't think they will sell him
