The main reason giving me optimism is the fact JDT has openly said he knows the quality and experience we have lost from last season.I just really don't think he would have agreed to join if it was penny's he had to replace them. Until we get a couple in its speculation either way but IF Davies is the first to come in even on a loan deal then I think we will have a healthy enough kitty, as I don't believe Liverpool would subsidise too much of his wage(unless he is actually on £60k) as other championship clubs will pay the wages toward the end of the window.I also don't think Broughton or JDT would blow the majority of their budget on loaning in a centre back. Agreed my worry is the club and owners will let him down But I'm convinced he thinks deals are happening. I also think he is clever enough to have done his homework and would have known what we have lost from last season so no I don't think he would have turned that down for a probable relegation battle and not go near what we did for a part of last season and finish as high as we did. Let's say he is on £30k per week.We were prepared to pay Lenihen £22k per week. So Liverpool would have to pay off the remaining 8k per week of his wage in a pay off or they come to some sort of agreement and he gets paid off a portion of it.If a permanent the transfer fee would cover whatever they have to pay him off. Someone I know from back in Ireland knows Lenihen personally.I asked him last season to ask him about the contract situation but he wouldn't talk about it whilst his future was undecided.
