  1. Pitiful numbers unless there is an astonishing late surge. Even with Covid restrictions (which affect every club, not just Rovers funnily enough) it’s well below expectations. At any other time, under any other owners, someone’s head would have rolled. Instead there’ll be a sigh, a shrug, and blaming the fans. With absolute ignorance towards the fact that it’s precisely that attitude which is feeding the problem. I fear the club will go before he does. Some fans are actually lauding his influence and agree with him. Like the proverbial boiling frogs.
  2. It’s that simple. It’s a club, an association, not just a subscription service. The very minimum for “loyal fans” to “back the club” would have been a price freeze. Can’t attend, and even when we can we won’t be able to go with our mates, didn’t honour the promise to put right people for backing the club by not asking for refunds last season. So we actually had two price rises, the first starting in March. Then he did the opposite of what he said he would do. Loyalty is a two way street.
  3. He should get ironic T-Shirts with that BS printed on it underneath the poo emoji. Our fanbase is decimated and he thinks he has done all he can. This is just the most recent incident in years of alienating Rovers fans. His policies relied on away fans more than home ones. Now there aren’t any he’s f*cked. Must be delighted to have landed at a club with owners who care so little that it doesn’t even matter. Milk the fans. Patronise the fans. Blame the fans. Send the bill for the difference to Venkys. ”We’ve done all we can” Makes me weep to think of how we were run just 10 years ago and how we are being run into the ground. And yet it’s ironic that the most exciting team we’ve had in all that time and we can’t even watch. What is it with this lot and timing? Fans may as well keep their money in their pocket. Don’t give it to Waggott’s retirement fund, save it for when the club really needs it after this lot disappear. £400 x 6000 people will go a long way during the rebuild. If ever there was a time for “the PL pledge”.
  4. Have to smile at these comments since the weekend. Trust me, I’m delighted by recent results but let’s have some context. Mowbray is on his best ever two-game run in his time at Rovers. The important thing is that he keeps playing his best players in their correct positions, and that Dolan continues his fine form (and he isn’t dropped after a couple of quiet games) but we will face tougher teams than the ones we have in these last two. Cautiously optimistic.
  5. Hi June. I’m fascinated by it. It isn’t something anyone really talks about. Do you know where he is buried?
  6. Not even Mowbray is stupid enough to drop Dolan right now. But when Dack and Gallagher are fit we will sadly go back to our rotation policy. We have been here before. When injuries mean his options are limited we become more consistent. Mowbray is his own worst enemy. We have to hope that this new system dictates who plays where rather than shoe-horning Gallagher back in for £5m other reasons. I’d go so far as to say Gallagher and Brereton shouldn’t play in the same XI.
  7. First class today from Rovers. Derby and Rooney looked like they had no belief whatsoever. Relegation places after three defeats for them. Rovers meanwhile in the nose-bleed territory, finally getting into the top six - currently fourth. Mowbray has at last given his players a license to play attacking football with the opposition having to worry about us, something I’ve been asking for for two years. Dolan has been the gem of the decade. Holtby taking to that central midfield role with vision like Tugay and more mobility. Brereton looked like a footballer today making intelligent runs, holding the ball up well and linking up well with his teammates. Arma quiet but got his goal by being in the right place at the right time - the position really that Brezza should be in. Williams is looking like Cafu at the minute and Lenihan needs to keep pace with him to avoid being replaced by Ayala. Kaminski looks like the commanding and competent keeper we’ve been missing. If we can upgrade on Bell then we have the makings of a play-off season at least. A poor Derby side but still better than Wycombe. Something to build on.
  8. Once again, pinpoint pass from Holtby, nearly from Brereton. The gulf in class and experience is massive. Would love Brereton to get an emphatic goal and go on a run. Not there yet though.
  9. Lol. Chapman shot.
  10. Not much. Holtby with a pinpoint pass/clearance along the left touchline. Brezza nearly got there.
  11. Holtby and Brereton both summed up in one pass there.
  12. Typical Rovers. ”Man of the Match then?” “Who scored the most goals?”
  13. That is precisely how Bennett should be used.
  14. Holtby has bossed this game today.
  15. Holtby has been MoM for me today.
  16. Not bad times just yet but yes our treatment room is filling up. With the football going well I’d expect them to be wanting to get back sooner rather than dragging their feet.
  17. No, looks like it might be a hamstring.
  18. To be fair, chances aside this is the best I’ve seen him.
  19. Mowbray WILL bring Dack back. Someone will have a ‘knock’. Probably Rothwell.
  20. Famous last words and all that but Rooney looks finished at this level. Should have stayed in the MLS or gone to Rangers.
  21. Wind your neck in, it was a tongue in cheek comment after he had fluffed two decent chances.
  22. Here’s hoping for something we don’t get very often. Two halves.
