At a club with zero forward planning and the manager and “chairman” big mates we will be absolutely on our arses before we are looking for a new manager.

Try refreshing the page.

Took a few goes to get in today. I now have a picture and very poor sound. Edit: someone has plugged the mic in properly now.

He could be a poster on here! We’ve lost a huge chunk of our first team: Graham (38 games), Adarabioyo (34), Downing (41) and Samuel (15)... and our only goalkeeper for all 46 games last season. But, yeah, stability... If he’s talking about the off-field infrastructure then he really means stagnation. The current state of Ewood Park is a metaphor for the lot of them!

Until we win the ninth game. “Were r all u haters now ???” (sic) It’s the hope that kills you!

One of the funniest interludes I’ve read for a while. Well done chaps. I do sometimes wonder if Chaddy is a genius of irony though or this whole schtick is part of an act.
-
Which once again started with the implied ‘you’re not a real fan if you aren’t positive’ post. But yes, let’s get the season started, at least it will distract us from this miserable transfer window where we have lost... 8 players is it... and gained one. A position we had no choice but to fill and he hasn’t even played a single minute of pre-season. Let’s hope he’s a diamond.
-
And yet the reason he is not selling season tickets is to avoid upsetting fans.
-
Not sure what your point is. Rovers had a handle on its transfer business back then and made decent fees.
-
This is exactly what it is. Anyone who leaves has to be a massive failure for some fans. It’s not just Chaddy and it’s not just Mowbray. It’s the difference between eternal optimists (those who are satisfied with words even each other’s words) and those who want to see reasons for optimism (the actions and results). Prime example is the European scouting network. Plenty of talk and the one signing validates the whole process. Meanwhile ever since setting it up our recruitment has been a shambles. Just look at January, never mind the Summer so far. A few loans will paper over the cracks and cheap talk about players wage demands will be enough for some.

Can’t believe anyone would begrudge Raya the chance to sign for Arsenal! Craig Bellamy left Rovers after one season when Liverpool came knocking and he is still fairly well revered on here.

That post explains a great deal. ??

When a supporter like you makes a statement like that you know that the club has gone too far. This will be kicking the hardcore in the nuts. In another point, Waggott has said “ticket prices are ready”. I’m assuming this price will be reduced pro rata for every game missed but I’m certainly not convinced.
-
Oh, I thought you said ‘badly advised’. I guess you meant something else. After 10 years that doesn’t wash any more.
-
A lot depends on Kaminski. He could be the next Friedel - or the next Steele. I just don’t know how many 12-15th place finishes we can last though before we are eventually put into admin (or with any luck sold to more interested owners). 10 years coming up - are there any statutes of limitations, I wonder? If we don’t buy better players we will eventually be relegated. They are certainly taking us there.
-
You’re new, and more than a little naive - “lad”. ”Our fanbase is shocking” - I wonder why that is? FFS

69 other clubs in the division but yeah expecting us to sign Championship standard players means being like Bury or Bolton. Both of whom were bought by penniless charlatans. Nothing to do with buying decent players. The only people being taken for mugs are Rovers fans.
-
We are going nowhere under Waggott and Mowbray. One minute they are telling Venkys to put their wallets away and the next they have a strict wage structure that is putting payers off joining. Luckily only the wrong kind of players.
-
You can’t navigate this market in the way we are trying to. Unless you accept we are getting desperados and can get the best out of them. In which case you need to upgrade your coaching staff. Or you have to pay a good portion of what would have been the transfer fee as a signing on fee. If you want a player in demand but want to keep your wage structure.
-
People seem to keep ignoring this Rev. Plus the fact that nobody got a refund last season and there has been no mention of ST holders getting any kind of discount as was mooted at the time (to avoid refund requests). We have a VERY forgiving fanbase. Just look at all of the crap we have put up with. They should have been on sale with a big caveat, and with seat numbers suspended for this season or made it renewals only. There will be people who want to buy to secure their seat and some of these people don’t want to lose their seat but are fearful of attending. Not allowing sales to anyone reduces this risk. There are lots of ways we could have managed this but there just isn’t any imagination.

When players run down their contracts it’s with complete belief that their transfer valuation ends up amortised as their wage - or a huge signing on fee. Trouble is Mowbray’s idea of a free transfer is no fee and a wage within our structure. We can’t have it both ways and it means you miss out on anyone with any other suitors and end up with the desperate players and only at the very end of the window when all other offers have disappeared. You might get lucky but you need a brilliant coaching staff to get the best out of them.

Will have to agree to disagreeing. He was clearly sceptical of Venkys and made sure they couldn’t shaft him. The failure to give him any of the Rhodes money was a big moment. I think that terminated the relationship and it was about getting to the end of the season. Lambert had a better pedigree than any Venkys manager before and after - and he protected himself. Tells you something.
-
Sounds like a good idea. Fair and gives everyone a chance to watch games. The bit missing would be an iFollow deal to watch the remaining games. It will be interesting to see what happens when Championship games get moved for TV. All of these schemes at other clubs seem to have a theme - they are trying to put supporters at the forefront of their thinking. At Rovers, it’s all about money.

Stop being so negative. I’ll reserve judgement til I see it in the flesh. With a pair of jeans. Walking around Asda. But I’ll make sure to keep well clear, it’ll probably be being stalked by a leopard.
