I just see yet another young player disillusioned by Mowbray. He must look over at Armstrong who was given so much faith by the manager during his earlier lean spell and who, let’s be honest, only got into real form after he was allowed the freedom only afforded to Dack - another happy accident (a la Travis). It seems Tony only has room for 1 ‘Arte’ outfield player and 9 ‘Labores’ - chiefly because he cannot sort out our defence. Mowbray knew the kind of player Chapman was and bought him anyway. Now when he doesn’t (or can’t) conform to the manager’s archetypal up-and-down the pitch player template, the player gets pelters (from manager and fans - and in-house commentators*). When you keep buying square pegs for round holes you will get players that can’t be changed. That’s on the manager. Better recruitment required. * those same commentators who decried Chapman yesterday - every combo he had with other players was used to criticise him - didn’t even flinch when Brereton made yet another glaring miss. At least he didn’t fall over his own feet this time. Anyway the point is, some players get a free pass - even if you get in trouble with the law - maybe Mulgrew has a point...

Football shirts are part of what attaches you to the club. There is a pride in both that is sadly lacking from the decision makers at the moment. It used to be what you wore on holiday and it got the Rovers name out there. We have an iconic shirt and it attracts new fans so we need as many people wearing them as possible. The revenue takes care of itself. Now we produce designs that aren’t attractive to buy (including away ones) and don’t even go on sale before everyone goes on holiday. That’s not a Covid-19 thing, it’s every year under Venkys. Hardcore fans, especially younger adults, will buy whatever is produced at whatever price. This is just more of the same from the club at present though. They don’t look at increasing volumes of sales by having an attractive product or price, they just look at maximising the money they make out of existing fans, and leave it to parents to keep bringing their kids. It’s getting harder and harder though.

What’s worse is that because of the cutbacks in the NHS is that 45 minutes is probably a fast response time these days!

Sounds horrendous.

Ouch. Open fracture?

Late on the board. Busy day at Ewood today Ben? The fan designed kits have been consistently better than the club’s efforts over the last 10 years. Precisely because they don’t take fans opinions into account.

He’s no use to us then I’m afraid. A wide player he ain’t and we are missing a centre forward without Graham and Samuel.

Ah ok, so not marginalised by Mowbray like other managers do but just him keeping his fitness up. Explains his rant perfectly, cheers. -
Apparently he land badly after catching the ball from a corner. Stretchered off with oxygen. Must have been a heck of a landing. Probably knee or ankle I’d say.

Something has clearly gone on. I suspect he has been dropped from the squad and told to find a club in the window. No matter how much money you earn that is going to sting. The thing is he should never have come back into the team after returning from Wigan. -

And the commentators barely say a word. There are certain players who are protected and certain others who are dug out for the slightest thing. -

Even against Donny we still have to score three to win a game. Defenders needed. It’s arguable we need five. One starter and one sub at CB. Two left backs. A right back. -

After a goal the cardboard cut out fans should bounce around like a South Park crowd scene. -
