  1. That’s exactly what it reminds me of.
  2. They are still above us. That’s the difference.
  3. We have already seen them drop points, a lot of points - and we have failed to make up the ground. We should be in pole position for sixth place now and we aren’t. What you are suggesting is that these teams will continue to go on winless streaks for the foreseeable future. The law of averages says that these teams will have a reasonable run now. We’ve blown it I’m afraid. Even if they were to somehow keep losing, we’ve shown ourselves to be incapable of making it count.
  4. https://www.rovers.co.uk/news/2020/march/pl-cup-tonights-game-off/ Tonight's game is cancelled. It’s getting a bit pathetic now. It’s not even been raining that bad.
  5. Add in that we have dropped out 25 points from winning positions too! Yet people tell me that Mowbray’s team doesn’t lack mental strength.
  6. The thing is Tom, while we may try to brush over it, that’s three or four chances to take advantage of other teams slipping up. It’s not even about wanting to be back at the top - we need to be, financially.
  7. I could reply in kind to that obtuse post but it would only be deleted. Having seen K-Hod’s post, I’ll add ‘Johnny Come Lately’s’ referred to managers, not posters on here.
  8. Some people, particularly these folk who pop up just to defend the latest manager, need to realise that the first two letters in BRFCS stand for Blackburn Rovers. We are here for the club no matter how many johnny-come-latelys they print flags for.
  9. Did they just fall from the sky onto the pitch? Does he not pick the team? Did he not think to change that at any point during the first half or at half time? Why do we have such an imbalance? Poor recruitment? Where does the book stop for that then?
  10. Using that poem as inspiration, no football manager should ever be sacked or leave their post.
  11. Such a bad mix... - Players who look jaded, lacking confidence, or just plain demotivated - and of lesser abilities than when they arrived. - A manager who doesn’t seem to recognise, let alone take, responsibility for his failings and is prepared to march on regardless making the same mistakes time after time. - A board who appear to be happy with what the manager is doing and, according to one poster on here, would only have a decision to make if the manager walked into his office to say he has had enough. - Owners who don’t seem to care one way or the other. - Fans who are becoming increasingly apathetic and disenfranchised by an establishment that holds them in contempt. Who exactly is in going to turn things around?
  12. The January transfer window was just yet another item in the list of failures this season. We are now seeing the result of that failure to add depth, let alone strengthen. Lenihan being out and relying on a loanee and a full back (and no adequate rb cover) was not a risk that couldn’t have been reasonably foreseen. Ultimately that has cost us but equally, our inability to mitigate that using the development squad is a double-whammy.
  13. Every team needs someone who can come on late in a game in a number of positions. He is ours. Unfortunately he is being shafted and forced to take the Lowe road.
  14. Tony, we are not going to get relegated this season. Thanks for that. You got us back from the third tier at the first attempt - thanks for that also. But please go. Go now and let someone else take a look at the side between now and the end of the season and assess how to take us forward next year - because you have shown that you don’t have what it takes to get our great yet fragile club the promotion that it so badly needs. If/when we do a Bolton, you will be long gone anyway, but we will still be here picking at the wreckage. Go now before it’s too late. It may already be.
  15. “Blackburn have blown the chance to get into the top 6” [Again] With no reinforcements in January, we have no depth to call on. Time to give some of the youngsters a chance. Let’s not forget, we are in this situation because of the waste of transfer funds on poorly scouted players who are played out of position. If only Dack hadn’t scored that winner against Barnsley when Mowbray looked like he was about to walk. Wonder where we might be now. Could be better, could be worse, but one thing is for sure, what we are seeing now is abject and not looking likely to improve while we meet making the same mistakes game after game. Bennett should not be in the starting XI - even with current injuries - yet is captain. There is no ambition, no energy, from the players or the manager. Just lacklustre performances and excuses.
  16. When player know that no matter what form they are in they will be dropped in favour of Mowbray’s rotation policy apathy sets in. There is no point in performing to you maximum, just sit and wait for your turn. It’s utterly depressing that we are in exactly the same position we were under Bowyer.
  17. Bennett needs to become a utility sub. I used to think he was a decent player and positive influence, now I just see him as a huge part of the problem.
  18. I’ll judge him when he is playing for a manager who has a clue.
  19. Keep your ears open for a few “we’re still 3 points off the play-offs with 9 games left FFS”. We are woefully short of ever being able to capitalise on any other teams’ slip ups.
  20. £12m worth of strikers withdrawn in a game we are losing 2-0. If ever a moment summed up our ineffective recruitment.
  21. One of very few players in his correct position.
  22. This is Rovers side by their instincts. Is it any wonder Derby can exploit the width?
  23. He was the in-form man before he was dropped for Brereton.
