  1. I'd say in the right light, it resembles Harry Redknapp....
  2. Saw the team news, right at the start of a family day out today, with no phone service. Returned to this. Magnificent little surprise. I would have been happy with a point. The longer we can ride this Promotion momentum, the more it shapes our season for the better. Tony has instilled a never say die attitude, and pride in the shirt. It's all I ever want in a Rovers side. Some big tests on the way, but we relish these games against more fancied teams, and with Arma's pace, and Dack's guile to come back, very content this evening.
  3. I don't think there are many that have came out of the last 4 years at Sunderland with any credit. Bit of a career graveyard. If, as Tony says, we will be seeing something a lot more exciting than a free agent in the next week, I will be happier with Rodwell in and around the squad.
  4. My oldest boy has epilepsy. Thankfully light sensitivity isn't one of his triggers. I imagine some sort of warning should be given out regarding flashing images that bright, for those who it is.
  5. Watching on Sky SD, I missed the second Reading goal - I couldn't see where the ball had went. I thought it had went harmlessly out of play, and next thing the commentator was shouting 2-0. Surely it must have some effect on the players too
  6. Very good second half for Bennett - full of drive. Evans and Nuttall putting in plenty of effort. Rothwell playing himself into a starting role. Very composed. But a special mention to Nyambe. At times I thought there were 2 of him in the second half. Lad just keeps improving.
  7. It's hard to be disappointed with a point, being 0-2 down at half time, with this 11 on the pitch. It took 2 penalties, as they had zero threat of creating a goal between them, but that was 3 points on a plate for a full strength side. Big 9 days ahead for Tony. As he says, the group needs help. On tonight's showing, urgent help! But Dack returns, and we go again. Still unbeaten.
  8. Full strength, I'd fancy us from here. Just can't see where the goals will come from. Need Graham to notch before the knees give way.
  9. We've made Paul McShane look like Franz Beckenbauer. Desperately, desperately missing Dack's ability to make something magic happen. This game is over.
  10. Just poke your eyes with a big stick. Cut out the middle man
  11. Yeh, the SD looks like watching through blurry lenses. I tried casting the Sky Sports app version for better quality, but doesn't seem to be working. Rothwell so close to a dream start. Very open game
  12. From early impressions I thought Rothwell suited one of the deeper roles better, but hopefully he can shine in the Dack role. Seems to be able to pick a pass, and hopefully Arma will be waiting on the defender's shoulder to run onto it. This is Rovers. We're overdue a kick in the balls. Not feeling confident.
  13. What a fantastic run post-Plymouth. We're still riding it. Important to get that first 3 points. Holding my breath on Dack, but injuries permitting I think we're in for a solid season.
  14. It might in Dunnys
  15. The fact that Aitor Karanka doesn't have Brereton around the first team picture, doesn't concern me too much. He has a set style of play, and wants all his players to fit into that style. I imagine being a bigger more physical player means BB doesn't really fit into that style, as much as a Lewis Grabban does. Similarly to how Rhodes was of no use to him at Middlesboro. Obviously Tony has identified a skill-set that will fit into our current structure.
  16. Big questions for Tony being asked tonight. Will it allay his loan worries a touch.... Hopefully not
  17. Dack and Palmer (and even Arma) are confidence players. This will help no end. Worked perfectly for Tony. Had they all played and struggled it would have been a panic, but this is a nice little tonic.
  18. Much better. That was all feeling a bit un-Rovery for a while there. We're back.
  19. Still not scored a third yet, FFS
  20. Will be good to see Arma playing as the focal point of the attack, and a good game to do it in. It's perhaps not a long term solution, but it will be an option at various times. As with Rothwell and Travis in the centre. Not ecstatic about Charlie playing, but hopefully he has an easy night.
  21. My thoughts exactly. I was drawn to the bench to see our options- and it's horrifically short on quality. Additions urgently required to get us through the winter months.
  22. I lost count of the number of people saying the window is not over yet, throughout the last month. Over and over again, as a stock response. We have plenty of time left. Just trust Tony, as if anybody didn't trust our manager. The same people couldn't wait to willy wave when there were bids for a few players. And minutes after the window shuts the fishing rods come out, and the rhetoric becomes 'Can't wait for Saturday, trust the lads we have'. Anyone surprised? Some fans are naturally frustrated. It's ok to get annoyed. You still want the best for the club.
  23. Our powder must be as dry as a bath mat in Burnley by now.
  24. Glad I didn't take the day off for this. Last deadline day we got S.Hart, this time it's shart again. All the expectation, and left with a streak of sh1t. Tony wanted 3 or 4 himself. Openly admitted numerous times. Not sure how this isn't disappointing.
  25. And a pointer on Wes Foderingham - like a modern day Alan Fettis. I would avoid on a free, at £1million I would be gutted with that. And as a back-up. A very under-whelming rumour, which is hopefully rubbish
