  1. You are quite right. It's one of those outdated laws that are still on the statute until someone gets around to updating them. Until then we have to put up with cyclists quoting the law. Try being a pedestrian walking down the road and see where that gets you.
  2. Wish I had a pound for every time I've seen a cyclist say that old chestnut when they get under the feet once more. Might be legally true but that's as far as it goes. Certainly not less of a hazard, especially when there's a bunch of them. Theno has it right.
  3. Single cyclists on country roads are rarely a pain. It's when there are dozens of them out together that they become a hazard to cars.
  4. That's crap. Old Trafford is a beautiful ground. You are exhibiting the typical southern attitude. The South should have everything and the northerners are a bunch of undeserving peasants. Don't come on here with your southern bias. It is not welcome.
  5. We'll get stuffed anyway without Peiterson. I would have picked him first and then told anybody with any objections to shut up or be dropped themselves. He's the only World class player qualified to play for England.
  6. I can take others opinions so long as they can take it back.
  7. Tried to reply from Lanzarote but my tablet decided it was Spanish and the spell checker changed all my words to Spanish ones. Situation is that I broke my left elbow and am just beginning to be able to swing again but a lot shorter than it was. Now I have developed a foot problem called Plantar Fasciitis and can only walk about 9 holes so I am not available for the time being. By the way Otto Man, I am prevented by the mods from making derogatory remarks about WWE so I would expect similar respect about my chosen sport especially tired old chestnuts about walks spoiled. Personally I can see no great pleasure in walking for it's own sake.
  8. You just know that some twit is going to come up with that tired old rubbish. .'.'
  9. No he corrected it.
  10. Wish I'd never bothered now but why do you make statements like "I proved" and "tying yourself up in Knots" plus references to trolling which clearly are untrue. It seems to be standard today to accuse anyone you do not agree with of being a troll. Anyway I have no axe to grind on this subject but do object to being accused of trolling for what was initially just a throw away observation. Please just forget it.
  11. Sorry but you PROVED nothing. Don't want to fall out with you about it but I'm not having that.
  12. I'm going to have to be careful. Don't want to become a Thenodrog.
  13. As I said I know little about Rugby League and am only reflecting what I have been told. I do seem to have touched a nerve however. That, together with the "jealousy" comment was quite a Manu fan reaction.
  14. I know very little about Rugby League. Not a sport I follow but I have a few friends who do and they all seem to regard Wigan in the same way that football supporters regard Manu. I was just reflecting what they said.
  15. Wigan are the Manchester United of Rugby League. They'll buy their way out of trouble.
  16. Corrected it for you.
  17. If Australia dumped all their nasty characters they would have no team.
  18. That's my gut feel too Bryan. Cook's batting and captaincy recently leaves much to be desired. Mouth shut, eyes open would be my advice.
  19. Trouble is there is no keaning team at all without him.
  20. Pietersen was the only England batsman with any real class. Axing him is a stupid decision, arrogant or not.
  21. Better luck next time Abs!
  22. Unfortunately it also makes sure that the big clubs stay ahead of the have nots and totally destroys competition for the rest.
  23. Cricket used to represent all that is sporting in the world until the Australians introduced sledging. Nobody minds witty remarks but the Australians have corrupted this to nastiness and unfortunately the rest of the world has started to do the same thing. Golf is the only game where sportsmanship still prevails.
