  1. I'd think he knew when he took the job that Derby would be difficult to save from relegation, which shows how low he ranked our club as a place of employment. His job will be to take Derby straight back up and take it from there. At least he's at a club where the manager and admin will work together, not one where the efforts of the players and coach are under-appreciated and sabotaged as a matter of routine.
  2. We all thought "what the hell have we done?" when we first signed him! All of us saw something in him but doubted it would ever be enough. We all took to him because of his enthusiasm and his physicality which we hadn't seen at Ewood for years. We wanted him to do well but feared he wouldn't. Cries of "worst player I've ever seen in a Rovers shirt" were quite common. So no-one should feel ashamed about that, he was like a fish out of water. But, for once, the Gods have shined on us and we have a real centre-forward leading the line (and, bonus-- assisting the defence). We've either struck lucky or coached brilliantly---who cares? Let's enjoy him while we can.
  3. Really excellent stuff from you. Said everything I'd have wanted you to say. Very professional.
  4. That's a bit thin for me. Gerrard's a big name and that's all he. I wouldn't go anywhere near him.
  5. Venkys rubbing their hands together in glee!
  6. Good! He was talking abut going to the game a week or 2 back!
  7. A special thanks goes to Jim! (I'm assuming you didn't go!)
  8. Plymouth's result tonight! 🥶
  9. You just can't help yourself can you? How does what happened tonight in any way invalidate Winter's views?
  10. Love it if Sunderland overtook Burnley! What a play-off fixture lies in wait there! Yes---I'm getting ahead of myself!
  11. What a great acquisition he's been. My "man of the season".
  12. But we were living off an excellent set of results early in the season. At the time Eustace took over were were on a very bad run.
  13. Bloody good article that. Writer has more of a clue than many of our supporters.
  14. No they haven't, its a bloody miracle we are where we are and its down to Eustace to a great extent. Eerybody's tip for relegation, including mine!. He made us hard to beat (till we lost so many players and the lack of depth of the squad was laid bare)
  15. Wow, I didn't realise how close to events you must be! Or did you just make all that up?
  16. That meaningless bollocks has helped us to 6th!
  17. I'm impressed at how well the Club has done in deflecting the blame for what has happened, away from themselves and on to Eustace That's all they exist for these days. Absolutely useless at anything else.
  18. Basically you think a manager should just stay win club whose owners ae making it impossible to do his job? In any field of employment people want job satisfaction. At some point he was bound to see there was no point.
  19. You seem to expect a manager to behave exactly the same as a fan. Why I don't know. Why should he stay here and watch half the squad walk away in the summer because the owners haven't listened to his requests to extend their contracts? His behaviour is totally logical.
  20. As opposed to this moron: Disgraceful comments from this snivelling spiteful hack. The cowardly, treacherous skunk has been backed to the full extent of allowable investment but following his dismal recent performances and results he seems to have opted for the easy task of building a wall behind Derby’s defence rather than accepting the challenge of firing us into the playoffs. Pack his belongings in a black bin bag, dump them in the River Darwen, drag him out by his ears and fumigate his office. Rather than admit to his treachery, his snake of an agent advised him to ask for the impossible to detract from their own deviant behaviour. I hereby promise never to quote this "person" again!!
  21. He's gone and that's it. Wanted a new contract, which he deserved, wanted the players whose contracts were up to be offered new ones. Owners turned him down. Why would he stay in the circumstances? How come we've lost 2 managers in 12 months? This crisis has been almost 15 years in the making and everything about the club has been dumbed down. Tomorrows game will be a funeral one from our point of view. Feel so sad for the players who have given their all this season only to see the rug pulled from under them. Some people are talking as if its as simple as-- a manager has gone, so what? We'll get another one and things will carry on as they always have. I think a stage more desperate than that has been reached and our very future is on the line. I wouldn't care to be involved in marketing for Rovers at the end of the season, you can't fall all the people all the time.
  22. If you're looking at the timing----surely its the transfer window that's the last straw.? Spending zilch while raking in money from transfer fees. He won't be the last manager/coach to lose it with this crowd, unless we appoint Steve Keane again.
