I carried on going after being at Wembley for that game. About 15000 didn't. Lesson is, its easy to lose fans, its hard to win them back. I see a big exodus after this season if events carry on as expected. Only a new set of owners could possibly turn this shitshow around. Sick of all the lies and pretence. I don't believe anything that comes out of the club anymore.

Once again a refreshingly different perspective from the LT board: Roverend26th January 9:24 pm User ID: 5471465 Couldn’t agree more. If we were safely nested in mid table those posters baying for blood would be quite satisfied after last season. . Unfortunately a decent mini run that got us into a decent league position has raised the level of self entitlement to new heights. None of those could have anticipated the squad being decimated by injuries which will undoubtedly have added to the boards decision making headaches on recruitment. Just for the hard of hearing, we have NO money to spend on an oven ready mythical striker that’s going to push us onto certain promotion.. Not one of them has come up with a name that would allow us to scale those heights, how much they would cost and where the money would come from. Relative to the finances of the club, we had a successful summer window compared to previous seasons, including Cantwell let’s not forget and some are still not happy. When are some people going to finally realise we have very little money to spend and any recruitment is based on wheeling and dealing, searching for hidden gems and trying to convince those hidden gems that a small town club with small attendances and relatively low wages is worth coming to. We won't sell Dolan---he'll leave for nothing. Not as if we need the money!
-
We're gambling. Its like only backing horses with odds of 100-1 in the hope that one will eventually win.
-
There will be a big drop in attendances I'm guessing---1st Div team with 1st Div gates.
-
How they hell do they think they'll sell Season Tickets for next season?
-
Is there any point watching Rovers then?

Nothing like the LT Board to put matters into perspective! NeasdenRover4 hrs ago User ID: 371911 It’s time for a bit more positivity. Every team has a bad run now and again, either with injuries or results. Although they often come together, as we are again discovering. But anyone would think we are bottom of the league, the way some are going on. Numerous things have to all go right at the same time to win promotion. That’s why most teams rarely achieve it. But we have come a long way since last seasons last day escape, and even a mid table finish would be a major step forward. Rome wasn’t built in a day. The team is fighting hard, our injured players are coming back and results will turn. Let’s evaluate once the transfer window closes and in the mean time, keep the faith. We are still only two points of the playoffs. -
I shudder to think. Impossible to believe they'll get t right twice running. Dark days.

Honestly what is the point of that post? Speculating on what we might do if we signed certain players. Its the ultimate hypothetical!
-
Sorry, I don't share your certainty there Chaddy. Nothing certain in football. I believe that we won't get promoted anyway because we will take all of the January transfer widow to sign up non-entities on loan.
-
We'll get everything we want one minute before the window closes!

We cannot keep selling good players and acquiring ordinary ones forever. At some point the club will be unviable and disappear down the drain. This could come quite quickly and all their "investment" will be lost. I hold on to he hope that, at that point, they will sell. They'll get way less than they could have ,of course but that's par for them.
-
Paradoxically that's the consequences of having a very good manager. They bust a gut for him every week but its caught up with them. As we all knew we have a good team but a poor squad.

With the current players available we are a League One team. Thank God we got a bundle of points early. -

You might be right given the players who are unavailable but we would surely be overrun in midfield. 2 of the 3 can't tackle. -
So you don't know when he'll be back? So why bother?!!

How much longer is O'Hashi out for?

We were looking forward to this run of "easier" games weren't we? It never works out that way. -
The forwards are doing what they can, they're just not good enough. We have so many players out that would be in the first eleven which all points back to the inadequacy of the squad at the start of the season in terms of number and quality. Judging by the transfer window so far things are not going to change and our assault on Top 6 is likely to fade.

Turn back Jim!

Might as well wait till summer then! Keep our powder dry.
